Re: Pokémon Direct Officially Confirmed For Next Week

@GrailUK That was a 30 second announcement of a Pokémon game with no footage just to reassure the fans.

That doesn’t have anything to do with my comment. My previous statement still holds up; they don’t dedicate time to a mainline Pokémon game during an E3 direct and it won’t be different this year.

@GrailUK What are you talking about? Pokémon games never get attention during an E3 presentation. They always get their own directs. That’s been happening in the past 5 years ago.

This direct reconfirms that it won’t be in Nintendo’s presentation.

You fanboys are overreacting like hell. Couple of things here:

1. This is not VR like PSVR or Oculus. Watch the video before you comment. It’s not in 1st person.

2. The screen is 720p, which will make the screen more blurry than everything else on the market.

3. You can’t attach the device to your face. There’s no strap. So you have to put your arms in the air the entire time.

4. If this was such a big deal, wouldn’t they have announced it with a Nintendo Direct? They know it’s of very low quality, hence why they announced it via Twitter.

This is just the Virtual Boy all over again.

@SmaggTheSmug To each their own, the mixture of action and tactics is a perfect combination for me personally. At its core, it’s still a turn based strategy game, you just have to take your time a bit before you start getting familiar with the mechanics.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 really clicked for me at chapter 5/6. I’ll admit that it was a bit confusing for me at first as well. After I learned how everything worked, I clocked 85 hours in the game and completed everything. One of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

If you’re not into anime games then yeah, I can understand why it wouldn’t be something for you. Its story is definitely a big part of the experience.

It is a niche franchise, yes, but that’s mostly due to the fact that there aren’t a lot of people who are willing to try it out or refuse to play further than the first couple of chapters. Patience is all you need and you’ll get a gem in return.

@SmaggTheSmug You do realize that you are in the minority when saying that the game is unfair, right? I’ve never heard anyone complain about the rules from Valkyria Chronicles and it’s a well loved franchise. Seems like you just don’t understand the mechanics.
