Re: Feature: Ten Ideal Launch Year Nintendo NX Games

Yasume

@Lylard @NoEasyBuckets I can't be on a Nintendo website, because I don't like certain Nintendo IPs anymore?

I'm a big fan of 3D Mario games, 2D Metroids, Fire Emblem and Ace Attorney, but I should just leave because I don't like the games you like, right?

Classic Nintendo fanboy logic.

Re: Feature: Ten Ideal Launch Year Nintendo NX Games

Let's see...

Super Mario Maker NX not interested in this series
Zelda: Breath of the Wild getting it on Wii U
Pokemon depends on the game
Animal Crossing not interested in this franchise anymore. Loved the original. Wild World and City Folk were basically the same
Splatoon not interested in this series
Pikmin have yet to play 2 and 3. First one was great
Mario Party meh, 5 was the last good one
Super Smash Bros the series has become stale after Melee
Mario Kart didn't care much for 7 and 8
Art Academy eh, no

The only games that will make me buy an NX day 1 are a 3D Mario platformer like 64 and Sunshine and a 2D Metroid game.

So yeah, I already know I'll probably wait 3-4 years before buying it. If it hasn't flopped at that point at least.

@bitleman Cheap phone games? Yeah, you clearly haven't seen its library. Also, don't see why you should bring Wii U in this conversation. Portable devices should be compared to each other, not a console with a handheld.

Anyway, the Vita is also getting much more third party support than 3DS these days. Let's compare both their upcoming western release schedules and include the good games:

PSVita

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir
Grand Kingdom
Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma
Shiren the Wanderer 5
God Eater Resurrection
God Eater 2: Rage Burst
Fate/Extella: An Unborn Star
Dragon Quest Builders
Akiba's Beat
World of Final Fantasy
Yomawari: Night Alone
Neptune VS. Sega Hard Girls
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Cosmic Star Heroine
Darkest Dungeon
Demon Gaze II
The Banner Saga
Salt & Sanctuary
Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
Forgotten Memories: Altnernate Realities
Hyper Light Drifter
Heart Forth, Alicia
The Iconoclasts
Mighty No. 9
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II
Exile's End
Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics
Root Double: Before Crime
Root Letter
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero
Steins;Gate 0
Shakedown Hawaii
Summon Night 6: The Lost Borders
Touhou Genso Wanderer
Timespinner
Atelier Sophie
Mobile Suit Gundam VS Force
Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom
Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness
MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death
Drifter
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X
Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors

Might have missed a few.

3DS

Dragon Quest VII
Dragon Quest VIII
Monster Hunter Generations
Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma
Mighty No. 9
Shakedown Hawaii
Yo-Kai Watch 2
Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final
7th Dragon Code
Corpse Party
Phoenix Wright 6

Eh?

It has always been first party support that saved the 3DS. When it comes to third party support, the Vita clearly has the better and bigger library. You can't really argue there.

Re: Review: Star Fox Zero (Wii U)

An 8/10 is pushing it. Sounds more like a 7/10 based on the inconsistenties of the framerate, the visuals and the rehashing.

Still seems like a decent game, though.
