@antisumo From what I heard a third party worked on the port of Portia, and in light of how that went the devs are doing it themselves this time around.

I'm too cynical to think Legends has a B rank of likelihood. Capcom has burned me too many times before...

I always wanted to try this, glad it's getting an English release! The more farm sims the better if you ask me.

This is another reason why 99.99% of what I play is indie...

@Lady_Galadhiel It's automatic, and you can only have one. But you do get to choose either a boy or a girl.

@Lady_Galadhiel Personally, the marriage and family life in SV was pretty lame in my opinion. Your child was near lifeless. I've watched hours of the Japanese version of this remake and played the original back on the Gamecube, and I can say the family aspect is much better here.

There are a lot of little events that add to the character building, and your child plays a much more significant role. What you do, who you befriend etc, will affect his / her interests and future profession as they grow. The reason why marriage is required is the progress of your child growing up is the main feature of this installment. I understand some may not be as into that, but it is much better than SV in that respect.

Anyway, just my two cents.

I think a lot of people got into ACNH for the cozy comfort it brought during a difficult time. But a lot have fallen away since then I guess. (Lack of updates didn't help...)

But given my mental health issues I never really stopped needing the comfort, so it's three years later and I started a new island last week... lol

@CharlieGirl Yep, that just about sums up my thoughts too.

This is one of the rarest and most valuable Pokemon cards there is. You can't expect it to find a buyer that quickly. Some of these can sit for years before the right collector comes along. I don't really get why this article is painting it like a failure. This is typical in the high-end collecting world.

@Eagly Yeah, I have to agree. As a long-time fan of Pokemon, I can't excuse what the franchise has become at this point.

The SP is the best, except it's so darn hard to see with these old 90s child eyes. So I had to go with Switch for that reason. lol

This and Layton were the highlights for me!

I played the demo on PC and really enjoyed it. Can't wait for this!

@Anti-Matter I agree that it could have used a bigger world map, but still, AWL is considered a classic by most. With the focus on your family and child in a more meaningful way, it sets itself apart from most other games in the series.

@Leecpfc I wouldn't wait, looking at the PC version it's never had a sale in years. Maybe ever.

I defended the game as being worth $30 and it's probably worth $35 too. But this hits a little differently knowing how this Dev is seemingly against sales already.

Obviously, inflation is a real issue, but when it comes to a digital product and one this successful already it seems a bit needless to me.

Cool to see so much added to vanilla. Though I play on PC with about a billion mods now. Still, it was nice to play handheld on Switch.

Having a PC made me much more accustomed to being digital only on my consoles too. Obviously, I see the downsides to it too, but ultimately I like the convenience.

I've really been looking forward to this! Wasn't sure how it would fair performance wise though, so I picked it up on steam. Glad to hear the switch version is nice too though.

Finally, I always hated those borders! Japan has used a nice-looking silver border for years so this is so welcome for me.

I have a Switch and a gaming pc. I don't have a Deck yet, but I am thinking about it. I love to play games handheld so I might have to grab one soon.

Honestly, it's times like this I want to leave Nintendo for good...

I played the original, but I actually like the new designs. It's just standard anime which makes sense given it's from Japan. I don't really think there's a deeper reason for it than that.

Good. Nintendo should have something like Steam's 2-hour policy if you ask me. It's not like they advertised that the game would be ridiculously buggy and people bought it anyway. They delivered a faulty product for an unfaulty price. This is only fair.

@liljmoore Yeah also my thoughts. I haven't bought the last four games for just this reason. Not that my tiny cash will make much difference.

I tried the demo during a Steam fest a while back, it was a pretty interesting game. I'll keep an eye on it.

I don't love the idea that the Dev is against sales apparently. But given the hundreds of hours you can get out of this I think it's fair.

Many first-party Nintendo games can be beaten in under 10 hrs for 60 bucks.

This is good, but if someone really wants to be a creep I doubt written rules will stop them.

@bozz I was wondering about the text size. I have a switch lite so I may have to play this on PC.

I get that not everyone can afford it, (myself included lol) but it really isn't a bad price for a figure of this quality. A lot of figures for collectors are much higher.

Some of the Hot Toys brand figures are easily in the $250-300 range. I can't begin to afford that personally, but boy are they works of art.

@eaglebob345 I guess that depends. But from my experience it wasn't fun at all, that was the main problem. As someone who has logged hundreds of hours into AC, I had to force myself to put about 3 or 4 into this.

As someone who's played this on PC, I have to agree with this review. I wanted to like it so much, but the charm just wasn't there.
