@MoonKnight7 Just a reminder New Leaf was released in 2012 but it took them almost half a year to localize it for NA. They could be working on it right now its probably just not in a showable state yet
@youkoaoshi and how do you know Ultimate is not a true sequel I might ask? They haven't even shown off any of the altnerate modes or single player content. Also they have been working on this game for up to three years at this point
@Bolt_Strike You clearly don't realize that game development often takes time. When they showed that MP4 logo last year they probably were just starting work on that game
@Toadie The thing is people allowed their expectations to be raised way too high off a bunch of leaks several of which have kinda been proven false right now. They had a good reason to push smash as much as they did and I realize that Nintendo can't just release all their major franchises within one year
@youkoaoshi Okay I don't know how you can possibly think smash ultimate is just a wii u port. There are way too many new assets and mechnical tweaks for this to be considered a straight up port of smash 4
The comments section here just goes to show that people are just plain spoiled and will never be truly happy regardless of what Nintendo shows. I mean seriously everywhere else I have been has been pretty positive with this E3 so far so why does this site have to be doom central
I don't get the negativity here. I think the presentation was solid. Also if you really think Smash Ultimate is just a glorified Wii U port you must not have been paying very much attention. Also there is a reason they didn't show MP4 or AC or Yoshi. Metroid and Animal Crossing are still probably relatively early in development and Yoshi would have probably been drowned out in the smash hype.
I remember how it was originally going to be on Disney XD but now it will be airing on Cartoon Network from what I hear. Part of me wonders if they changed networks to avoid clashing with Big Hero 6 The Series
@YummyHappyPills That makes no sense at all. How does a delay of a 2011 remaster prove switch can't run real games? Also don't be surprised with those tweets as gamespot is often populated by anti Nintendo trolls
Keep in mind no PC version was mentioned either which makes me wonder if Activision is just holding those versions back on purpose to take advantage of double dippers
Someone pointed this out to me over on reddit but really its everyones fault here not simply Nintendo
"it was the fault of the phone manufacturers for pushing the spec before it was ready. It is the fault of charger companies for them being all over the board. It is the fault of the spec designer for having the spec try to do too much and letting a bunch of things get certification for with very loose requirements. It is the fault of Nintendo for allow such a situation to exist."
It's not Nintendo's fault third party manufacturers never bothered to actually test their products with switch first
I can see why they wouldn't localize the 3DS version considering how that system is pretty much on its way out at this point and a Switch version would have much greater sales potential
At the end of the day I think this is a nice casual platformer that is good to play with the kids. I think this might be a case of Star Allies having a smaller dev team especially if a good chunk of HAL staff was called away to help with Smash
@SLIGEACH_EIRE The problem is the copyright year is 2018 rather than 2014-18 plus Bandai Namco who developed the last smash is not mentioned at all. Also this announcement trailer is way too dramatic for a straight port
How is this news exactly. Also I don't think its fair to say Nintendo is being greedy here considering we don't know how much the port actually cost plus the fact that to the majority of people who never bought a wii u it will be practically a whole new game
This isn't necessarily a free rewards program. You basically use your coins to get a discount on any purchase of our choice and frankly I don't see why people whine so much when a lot of other rewards programs work almost the exact same way when it comes to points. The point values were likely adjusted to ensure newcomers are on more equal footing with veteran members
I wonder if some people didn't read the entire statement. Nintendo was essentially forced to adjust their own guidelines because Youtube changed their own partnership rules which is out of Nintendo's control
@noobsarecool2 Then why not ask Panic Button for help and let them handle it. The game will likely have to be rebuilt but Panic Button already has experience with this sorta thing and theoretically A Hat in Time should require not nearly as much work as Rocket League did meaning it probably would be cheaper as well. Keep in mind one of the biggest reasons RL Switch took as much work as it did was due to all the optimization needed in order to achieve a consistent 60fps on the Switches lower specs
@noobsarecool2 Maybe you could tell him that if they better explained why its not happening and that its not within their current capability but still be open to the possibility in the future rather than simply saying a blunt no on Twitter then people would probably go easy on them more. Simply saying its not happening without giving much of an explanation just makes it seem like GfB doesn't like money which makes the port begging worse. Its probably not helping GfB's case either that Panic Button was able to get Rocket League working on Switch and that game uses UE3 and is far more graphically and technically demanding. Yes I know they had to rebuild it from scratch but still.
I would like Hat in Time on Switch as much as the next guy and I understand it may not be within their current capability but I don't want to see the chances of this game coming to switch being ruined by a highly vocal self entitled minority.
I enjoyed Hat in Time and while those fan comments on Twitter can be kinda dickish the devs themselves weren't exactly the most professional either. If they had actually explained why its not within their capabilities at the moment people would not be giving them as much flak
Keep in mind this is from Netflix's customer service account so they might not have much of an idea whats really going on. Also didn't they mention Netflix was ready to go sometime back
@gatorboi352 Yes 4K TVs are cheaper but content is still relatively limited. Nintendo has a good point that its not really smart to invest in something that has not yet seen mainstream adoption
From what I hear the NES Classics were actually made with leftover Wii parts which was largely the reason why Nintendo struggled to keep up with demand so much
I think its too early to spout negative about DOOM considering these are just the UK charts and the game appears to be doing relatively well in the eshop at the moment
Its important to note that the Switch version of Forces was basically a last minute decision so not surprised its a notch below the other versions but I hear the Xbox version has issues as well
