I think there are a few things people need to consider
1 The game is clearly made for a different audience
2. It won't detract from the main Nintendo experience on Switch since Nintendo has gone on record to state that that their consoles and mobile games are entirely separate ecosystems
3. This game was not developed by Nintendo themselves it was mainly handled by DeNA
I have had issues of drift myself but I was easily able to resolve it for my original joy cons with a quick recalibration while my red and blue joy cons just needed some good ol WD 40. If people are claiming to get drift this soon then its most likely just due to a handful of defective units which are not uncommon in the initial batch of systems
@DaoubleDizzle77 Okay I find this pretty dubious for several reasons. First off how exactly does drift occur this soon out of the box. Second how do we know he wasnt just using another joy con or a pro controller off screen.
Okay seriously I would love it if they made a new pokemon or regional variant based off British TV shows. Like I imagined a regional variant of Bewear that is essentially a homage to Teletubbies.
While the material is similar there is a likelihood they may have made slight revisions to the manufacturing process in order to reduce the odds of drift
I think I can see a few reasons why NOJ ultimately turned it down. They probably didn't want to risk clashing with the Super Mario Kun series or they probably saw the stuff that was going on with Archie and Sonic at the time and probably wanted to stay as far away from their mess as possible
@tekknik Unity is still a very capable engine. Just look at Yooka Laylee and Cuphead for example. People are drawn to Unity mainly for its beginner friendliness and frankly from my experience C# is a relatively good place to start learning programming being nowhere near as complex as C++
No doubt this mass Youtube purge is likely due to what happened with Smash Ultimate. Also its fairly obvious Youtube is pretty much the primary reason most game companies don't put up their OSTs for public sale more often since whats the point in making your soundtrack for sale if people will just rip it to Youtube anyway.
It probably will matter little anyway since now there are other channels reuploading BrawlBRSTM3x's content
As disappointing as this is its pretty understandable really since it would be defeating one of Minecrafts biggest selling points in that you can run it on virtually anything
I am a bit both surprised and kinda happy Chaos won since I honestly expected Order to win in the end. Having missed out on the last fest of Splatoon 1 I am glad I could partake in the final fest for Splatoon 2. Team Order did put up a good fight though
I am not playing devils advocate here but I find the fact that people feel the need to file a class action lawsuit over this kinda ridiculous considering how from what I have heard joy con drift can be easily fixed with a bit of WD-40 or some good old DIY if you are willing to go that distance. Its like comparing the drift to the Red Ring of Death on 360. at least with the joy cons you don't have to worry about them pretty much bricking your entire system. Of course Nintendo could have revised the joy cons behind the scenes to fix the problem which might explain why they have been relatively silent on the issue. Heck with the Switch Lite they probably did engineer the sticks to be less drift proof
Its highly likely the content moderation process in Mario Maker 2 is a lot more automated compared to Mario Maker 1 since Nintendo probably had to account for a far greater number of submissions. Of course the thing with content bots is that they are not always the best at gauging what is appropriate and what is not
@TheBlue10 Its still relevant with Pokemon cause as Aleron said you cannot simply just expect them to just copy and paste the models from 3DS without running into problems considering how the models were likely coded with the 3DS hardware in mind and not switch
@Anti-Matter Have you ever considered though that games have gotten far more expensive to make in terms of both time and resources. Plus Monster Rancher 4 probably had nowhere near the number of monsters that later Pokemon generations have had
@nintendolie They didn't really lie though. They explained that they would not be discussing any new hardware at E3 big difference. Also considering how this is intended to be a budget alternative and likely for kids of course I expect the design to be a bit more rugged
I think the people trashing this article are kinda missing the point. I feel the people complaining about the National Dex just have no idea about the realities of modern game development or how franchises work in general. Sure all the models are already high resolution but then there is the matter of programming every single one of those models on top of the fact that Sword and Shield probably uses a whole new engine and code base. This was mainly why you could not transfer Pokemon from Gen II to Gen III mainly due to differences in maximum IV Values.
Removing stuff such as Mega Evolutions and Z Moves does in fact serve to benefit newcomers because it means new players do not have to worry about being overwhelmed by all these extra mechanics. Also balance was of course a factor as well
I don't get why people keep screaming they should just delay the game when the reality is they can't afford a delay because Sword and Shield is no doubt expected to coincide with so many other things including the new TGC line, movies, toylines and merchandise , and of course the new anime season. This is on top of the fact that Nintendo no doubt is riding heavily on this game for the 2019 Holiday season. If the game is delayed not only will the shareholders be upset but also it will leave a gaping hole in the Switches holiday lineup.
When you consider how many Pokemon there are at this point its plainly obvious why they largely dropped the gotta catch em all tagline long ago.
If you really think Game Freak is just swimming in money from the sales of Pokemon itself then your sadly mistaken as the majority of profits from the sales of the games don't go to Game Freak they go to Nintendo and the Pokemon Company
@FitnessGamer I am not sure exactly why people are so surprised at this considering how in the AC series its been fairly common practice to implement measures to discourage or punish time travel since it goes against the games primary design philosophy as a life sim

Re: Miyamoto Wanted Mario Maker Gameplay In Zelda, So Aonuma Created The Chamber Dungeon
I have always imagined a Zelda spin off that is basically Zelda meets Dungeon Keeper

@Trajan From what I have gathered they seem to be using the sticks from the newer joy con models so why dont we wait and see

I think this could be due to a number of factors really. Wouldnt be surprised if negotiating for the third party games has something to do with it

Re: Phew, Zelda: Link's Awakening Will Support Cloud Saves On Switch After All
So people got all worked up for nothing what a surprise.
Re: Zelda: Link's Awakening Won't Support Cloud Saves On Switch, According To Nintendo UK Listing
The fact that NA says yes probably means it was a mistake

Re: Review: Turok 2: Seeds of Evil - A Painfully Incomplete Version Of An N64 Classic
I think a 6 for no multiplayer is a bit harsh especially since they have stated they intend to add it in a future update
Re: Turok 2 On Nintendo Switch Doesn't Include Multiplayer
I am willing to cut Nightdive a bit of slack considering how they are planning to add the feature in a future update

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
Of course its highly likely they could have reengineered the sticks on the lite to sort out the drift issue

Re: Nintendo Inexplicably Deletes Popular Mario Maker Streamer's Level
@60frames-please
First off Nintendo has gotten far more youtube friendly as of late. They even threw out their content creators program that everyone seemed to hate.
That Japanese source may have broke NDA which is why it was shut down to begin with.
Nintendo kinda stopped fighting game rentals long ago.

Re: Nintendo Inexplicably Deletes Popular Mario Maker Streamer's Level
Yeah its probably the name. Poo isnt exactly forbidden but highly likely it triggered Nintendo's content flag algorithm

the smaller playerbase on switch can work to ones benefit as it increases the chance of you being in the top 5% and getting the champion kart

@Aeleron0X Get that logic outta here
Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield
@Illusion I mean seriously do people ever take into account things such as engine compatibility

@SpaceboyScreams And how can you be so sure they are lying if we don't even know everything that is going on behind the scenes
