I mean what the heck is wrong with Nintendo acknowledging they are working on improving Ultimate's online to the best of their ability

Also a lot of this really can be chalked up to brand management and unification which makes sense when you consider how Nintendo in recent years has begun to really push towards elevating Mario to a multimedia franchise rather than just a video game series. In that regard it makes sense they would want to keep style consistent across all the Mario games and spin offs both to keep consumer confusion to a minimum as well as making things easier for the marketing team. Pretty much every major entertainment company does this in some fashion

@Bunkerneath That was likely more so due to recycling assets from Dream Team/Paper Jam to keep development costs down

I think it would be nice if we actually got a concrete explanation on why they can no longer make toads distinct with things like gender and such. Also figures people would blame Miyamoto for everything again even though he hasn't really been involved in actual development for ages at this point

apparently it's also targeting Nintendo's Next system whatever that is

Many will say 2015 but I would say 2016 was worse because at that point Nintendo was just trying to bury the Wii U as quickly as possible so they could focus entirely on Switch and it clearly showed.

@FragRed I am sure we will get more 1st Party stuff. They probably aren't willing to fully commit yet cause of COVID-19

There is going to be multiple partner showcases apparently so lets not break out the pitchforks just yet

As someone who has been reading about game development lately. I would assume this bug might have been causing other problems behind the scenes enough to warrent patching

Just a heads of up they are working on more fixes

Just curious but are you aware there is supposed to be a day 1 patch that I believe is meant to address a lot of the issues you mentioned

fixes included

• General Stability issues
• UX and UI improvements
• Cut scenes and dialogue fine tuning
• Sound and audio improvements
• Additional gameplay bugfixes and improvements

Guessing Platinum must have slacked a bit on the optimization end of things. Heres hoping they can improve it in a patch

So what happened is that Mick wasn't meeting his deadlines so ID was forced to hash out a subpar OST last minute to avoid getting in trouble with the law And yet people think this is somehow all Bethesda's fault

I don't really mind friend codes really since its not that much of a hassle to share them with others nowadays. Very interesting seeing how they were mainly created out of practicality and security reasons

Pretty tragic to hear. I never realized Peppy and the Soldier from TF2 were voiced by the same person. Also wanted to point out a slight error in the article. Rick May didn't voice anyone in Sly 2. He did however voice Dr M in Sly 3

This makes me think of the people giving negative reviews of DOOM Eternal on Steam simply cause of how it plays differently from DOOM 2016

Note how it mentioned presentation to the publishers as in likely a pitch for a character to Nintendo or a third party company

Didn't expect to see so much hate on this here. I think the set looks neat. Mario probably looks different cause of all the built in electronic components. If this is successful enough we could see more Nintendo Lego sets in the future. Animal Crossing is a no brainer

Keep in mind Nintendo didnt force this. This was no doubt a decision by the AC dev team themselves

Why dont we wait for Nintendo to actually clarify things first

Generally I mainly pre order if I am interested enough in a game. I just pre purchased DOOM Eternal on Steam so I can have the chance to pre load early since where I am from my internet download speed isn't exactly the greatest. I think this is Nintendo just trying to cover for the fact they don't really have a system in place right now for facilitating refunds

@hihelloitsme If Witcher 3 can be made to work on Switch than DOOM Eternal should be just fine. It just takes good optimization and smart compromises

after seeing the Witcher 3 on Switch I do believe a Sekiro port is perfectly doable

Okay the people complaining about this are missing two things mainly

1. This is pretty much the third game in the series

2. They stated clearly you don't need the DLC to obtain the new Pokemon and that you can just as easily get them via trade or importing from Home

I generally have no problem with DLC as long as the content justifies the asking price

Probably just doing it to get any Pokemon related news out of the way first before the main direct

No Rareware stamps I am disappoint

I don't understand how you can call the switch the most fragile thing ever all because of some control stick issues. Heck you can easily solve joy con drift with a bit of WD 40 or any other electronic contact cleaner.

He does have a point really how cloud gaming will likely become bigger in the future but right now the technology just isn't there at the moment especially in places like America where alot of people's internet isn't exactly what you would call gaming friendly

I find the argument that Game Freak will never improve because of this somewhat exaggerating. Its important to consider this was GF's first true HD Pokemon game on top of the fact they were likely under a lot of pressure considering Nintendo was no doubt banking heavily on this game as their tentpole title for Christmas 2019.

Imagine how fitting it would be for Smash to win GOTY then immediately follow it up with the reveal of the final fighters pass character

The problem with review bombing in general is that often you can end up having bad reviews from people who never really played the game simply cause they don't like it

I don't see much wrong with the designs myself considering they seem to be well in line with previous rumors and leaks. The idea of Sobble becoming a spy is actually a nice touch really

@Ralizah Again this was Game Freaks decision not Nintendo's. This was likely done to prevent trade abuse which had been fairly common for some time now.

@Yorumi the problem is though that storing all your splatoon data on server would likely mean you likely would require a constant internet connection to play which pretty much goes against the Switches core philosophy.

@Ralizah You do realize a good majority of Nintendo's own games do support cloud saves right? The only ones that aren't supported are Splatoon and a few other games where cheating and save scumming is likely a major concern

Do people even realize this was likely ultimately Game Freak's decision not Nintendo's Its also fairly obvious why they would omit cloud saves in this game to prevent cheating. The 3DS Pokemon games didn't let you back up save data to an SD card either so this is hardly anything new really

So apparently Nintendo almost got the Minions to compose the OST
