Re: Opinion: I Finally Finished Ring Fit Adventure, And It Might Be Peak Nintendo?

I beat the story years ago, and now my focus with this game is basically getting every exercise up to 5000 reps, which I'm certain will take me a few more years at the pace I play at. I even keep a spreadsheet to make sure to set up some custom routines that include my lowest exercises in blocks that begin with sitting exercises, and then move onto standing ones, with good balance of what works after what. Even setting up my next routine becomes a game of itself!
Ring Fit Adventure truly has potential beyond what many ever discovered.

@boxyguy I think that's the Playdate. They are much smaller and niche, but still got a healthy little community of developers and players. Just like Nintendo, doing their own thing. As an owner of one, I'm quite happy with the role it covers for me (screen nicely visible in bright sunlight, small self-contained games, truly pocket-sized).

The support that his game has been getting really fills in the void that ACNH left once that stopped updating. I'm aware that the live service model doesn't work for just about every franchise, but with this one game, every new player has been benefitting of more content to begin with, with every update. All in all, I've been having an excellent time with Dreamlight Valley by picking it back up every time it updates, for a few days. That also helps ease up on the burnout that AC sometimes sets for players.

I'm honestly not sure why people want this game to be F2P. This has been a really weird case where the game actually merits being a paid offering, and plays like a full game as well. The only F2P aspect of it so far is the cosmetic options that require Moonstones (the one premium currency), and there's many "full" games pulling this off nowadays.

I paid for this game back when it released and I've happily gotten my money's worth and then some.
