Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite Nintendo 64 Games

Vicki_S

I have mine sitting next to my NES Classic, SNES Classic, GBA (fuschia), PlayStation Classic, Genesis Mini, and original Xbox. This is why I laid claim to my parents’ old entertainment center (Mom doesn’t want it anymore).
1. Ocarina of Time
2. Majora’s Mask
3. Mario Kart 64
4. Super Mario 64
5. Diddy Kong Racing (reason I bought a replacement console)
6. Super Smash Bros.
7. Yoshi’s Story
8. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
9. Banjo-Kazooie
10. Pokémon Snap

Re: Almost Every Legend Of Zelda amiibo Is Back On Nintendo's Official UK Store

Vicki_S

@dugan I had the same thought whenever I saw the Bokoblin in stores. But I got it, along with Mewtwo, this summer to complete my Zelda and Pokemon sets.

The amiibo I most regret not buying is Mega Yarn Yoshi. I didn't know it was a Toy R Us exclusive till it was too late (same goes for the gold N64 with 2 matching controllers) and I hardly ever went to Toys R Us. Even if I weren't an amiibo collector I would want it because it's a big, knitted Yoshi.

Re: How Well Do You Know The Legend Of Zelda?

Vicki_S

10/10.
Don’t ask me how I knew the name “King Harkinian” before learning about the cartoon, comics and CD-i games because I have no idea where that tidbit came from. I also don’t know how I learned Ganondorf’s last name.

Re: Fans And Analysts Ponder The Eternal Question: Can Nintendo Survive Without Shigeru Miyamoto?

Vicki_S

Disney had its Dark Ages for a couple decades after Walt died (mind you, some of my favorites are from that time period) and now look at them. Apple is doing just fine without Steve Jobs.

Nintendo has survived since 1889, sometimes with barely anything at all, and they’ve lost other legends over the years. Younger generations need a chance to shine too and it’s not like he hasn’t taught them well. And it’s not like he’d be taking Mario and Zelda with him.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 18th)

Vicki_S

@Anti-Matter PC because it's the best version and how I've played for 20 years. I've got tons of CC and mods.

As for how I deal with tempting DLC and expansions...I have EVERYTHING for every mainline game plus Medieval. I even have the TS1 soundtrack in my iTunes collection. I have a problem XD

Re: Random: Reggie Admits He "Did Not Own A GameCube" When He Applied For A Job At Nintendo

I had the OG Xbox while my sister and brother-in-law had all three. However, I spent a summer at their house, lived with them for several months, and was a frequent visitor after moving out. We played Mario Kart: Double Dash!! all the time and my brother-in-law and I beat both Twilight Princess and God of War together. I was about to beat Tetra to Outset Island when the dog ate the memory card.

GC was my favorite even though I didn’t have one. I got a black backwards compatible Wii with GC games as a 19th birthday present and took them to the dorm. I eventually made my Wii U play GC games and gave my Wii and all my physical GC/Wii games to my best friend since she never had either console.
