Re: Spellbound Is A Wizard School Sim From The Publisher Behind Stardew Valley

Tokiwa

Aside from translating to more languages and porting to consoles, everything else in Stardew Valley was pretty much done by Eric Barone (ConcernedApe)

If i had to expect something from them, it's from their experience with Starbound which wasn't a smooth sailing during development and the early access.

But i'm hoping they learned a lot and who knows, this might turns out to be good but for now i'll keep the "wait and see" stance.

Re: Nintendo Has No Plans For A Switch 2.0, Sources Claim

Of course they aren't going to confirm such things regardless if it's true or not. With the Switch flying off the shelves it could affect the sales of the current model for people who are still on the fence, even a casual "we're thinking about it" comment could affect the sales.

Personally i don't think they release something new that early but i could see that happening eventually. It happens with pretty much every console.

I'm keeping my 3DS as long it works, same as my PS2. I might even buy a new one if it breaks.

I'll eventually get a Switch but unlike most people i'm not desperate for it to the point of wishing a platform to die. Would be a different case if it was backward compatible with 3DS games but unfortunate it's not the case xD

Re: GameStop Opens Pre-Orders on Samus Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL in the US

@Captain_Gonru As far i know they are only manufacturing the N2DSXL and N3DSXL. I'm not sure about the original 2DS, i read they stopped manufacturing in Japan but nothing about the west.

I'm assuming this Samus edition was being planned even before the game was announced on E3, considering it launches next month.

Honestly i'll be surprised if they don't make a special edition for the upcoming Ultra Pokemon games.

I'm curious what's the color inside, maybe it's all black?

@Captain_Gonru That would make sense if it was the normal sized N3DS but they didn't stop manufacturing the N3DSXL so it's not "leftover".

As for the N2DSXL it was just released, give it some time and the special editions will start popping up. I doubt Nintendo will just stick with the launch model.

Re: Editorial: In Praise of the Smaller New Nintendo 3DS - The Best 3DS*

To be honest i think both sizes are great but you can only find the XL where i live, the few people selling the normal size usually asks more than a brand new N3DSXL.

I wish i had one though, the XL barely fits my pockets and the normal size would be great to take outside while i play the XL at home.

The cover plates idea was nice i guess but i'm not into them, i would probably just stick with one or maybe two.

Re: It's "A Bit Sad" That Switch Isn't More Powerful, Says THQ Nordic

Tokiwa

They probably want all platforms to run and look the same, even the PC version of Darksiders is the same as consoles aside from custom resolutions and anti-aliasing. I understand the sentiment, if you make it look too different from each version then people will moan like there is no tomorrow.

Switch was just released, give developers time to learn how it properly works and optimize their engines to use most of it. Some developers takes more time than others, it's understandable.

You guys don't want rushed ports for the Switch, trust me...
