If you think it's worth the price, go right ahead. If not, wait for a price drop.
Personally i rather wait for a discount and buy something else in the meantime, maybe if they included DK Returns. At least Bayonetta 2 includes the first game.
Aside from translating to more languages and porting to consoles, everything else in Stardew Valley was pretty much done by Eric Barone (ConcernedApe)
If i had to expect something from them, it's from their experience with Starbound which wasn't a smooth sailing during development and the early access.
But i'm hoping they learned a lot and who knows, this might turns out to be good but for now i'll keep the "wait and see" stance.
Of course they aren't going to confirm such things regardless if it's true or not. With the Switch flying off the shelves it could affect the sales of the current model for people who are still on the fence, even a casual "we're thinking about it" comment could affect the sales.
Personally i don't think they release something new that early but i could see that happening eventually. It happens with pretty much every console.
I've seen the screenshots and god, it does have some awful bilinear filter above the sprites. I know not everyone is into pixel graphics but just applying some random filter doesn't cut, at least for me.
I'm glad i still got my DS copy, i have a feeling they will try to pull this on the Switch too.
They already released one collection with X1-X6 for the PS2 and GameCube. I'll be bummed if they split it in separate releases but i'll eventually buy it... on a sale.
I got the 3DS version, pretty fun if you liked any Warriors game from Koei but i wouldn't recommend the double dip if you already played before. Unless you're really bored and have nothing else to play.
I'm keeping my 3DS as long it works, same as my PS2. I might even buy a new one if it breaks.
I'll eventually get a Switch but unlike most people i'm not desperate for it to the point of wishing a platform to die. Would be a different case if it was backward compatible with 3DS games but unfortunate it's not the case xD
@Dayton311 This game wasn't made by Nintendo, it was made by Marvelous.
Also this isn't a new release (except for Europe), it was released back in June 2016 way before the Switch was even announced. The company is just supporting the game with patches and DLC.
I have no problems with their approach. They (Sony and Microsoft) can focus on big powered home consoles while Nintendo focus on less powerful but portable console which you can take with you anywhere.
I think it's totally fine having both types in the market and i hope it stays that way.
I think the biggest save file i saw in my life was The Sims 3, it was almost 1GB. But considering the amount of custom made characters and houses you can create in that game i kinda understand the file size.
I rather play at 1080p/30fps but that's just me. However Koei isn't known for having good optimization so who knows how well it'll really run.
Dragon Quest Heroes 2 would drop to as low as 20fps during battles in the Switch version, maybe it will be better to play this game at 720p/60fps and hope it doesn't drop to below 30fps.
Oh, i remember hearing a few years ago that people thought the Wii U was an accessory for the Wii instead of being a new console. Maybe these developers did the same?
@Captain_Gonru As far i know they are only manufacturing the N2DSXL and N3DSXL. I'm not sure about the original 2DS, i read they stopped manufacturing in Japan but nothing about the west.
I'm assuming this Samus edition was being planned even before the game was announced on E3, considering it launches next month.
Honestly i'll be surprised if they don't make a special edition for the upcoming Ultra Pokemon games.
I'm curious what's the color inside, maybe it's all black?
@Captain_Gonru That would make sense if it was the normal sized N3DS but they didn't stop manufacturing the N3DSXL so it's not "leftover".
As for the N2DSXL it was just released, give it some time and the special editions will start popping up. I doubt Nintendo will just stick with the launch model.
I think it's a good deal for people in a tight budget or if you want to gift someone, you get access to a huge library of games and start off with a really good game.
To be honest i think both sizes are great but you can only find the XL where i live, the few people selling the normal size usually asks more than a brand new N3DSXL.
I wish i had one though, the XL barely fits my pockets and the normal size would be great to take outside while i play the XL at home.
The cover plates idea was nice i guess but i'm not into them, i would probably just stick with one or maybe two.
They probably want all platforms to run and look the same, even the PC version of Darksiders is the same as consoles aside from custom resolutions and anti-aliasing. I understand the sentiment, if you make it look too different from each version then people will moan like there is no tomorrow.
Switch was just released, give developers time to learn how it properly works and optimize their engines to use most of it. Some developers takes more time than others, it's understandable.
You guys don't want rushed ports for the Switch, trust me...
There is a lot of them here in south america but they cost more than a PS4 Pro + 2 games, local retailers are clearly ripping people off since there is no official MSRP here.
Gonna wait a year or two, i want a Switch but i'm not willing to pay that much.

Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For March And April
I'm just getting The Alliance Alive this month.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Drops Out Of The UK Charts Top Ten As Mario Bounces Back
For a port of a last gen niche game i still think it did well. I'm more curious how Bayonetta 3 will performs.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Still trying to clear my huge 3DS backlog, currently playing Etrian 5 but not sure if i'll finish this weekend, it'll probably take 1-2 more weekends.
Planning to start Ever Oasis or MH Stories after that.
Re: Video: Get Hyped For Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition On Switch With This New Trailer
I got the 3DS version, pretty fun if you liked any Warriors game from Koei but i wouldn't recommend the double dip if you already played before. Unless you're really bored and have nothing else to play.
Re: Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition Arrives On Switch This May
Game looks very bland, it feels like it was supposed to be mobile but they decided to go consoles in the last minute.
It's hard to even consider this when you can get Stardew Valley for $15. Can't wait for next Story of Seasons and Re:Legend.
Re: Hackers Get Linux Running On Switch And Claim Nintendo Can't Patch The Exploit
I heard this group in particular rarely releases these exploits to the public.
I'm more curious if the Switch can run PS2 or GC emulators, i might consider a second Switch just for that. Otherwise i might go for a GPD Win 2.
Re: Review: Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology (3DS)
My 3DS backlog just keeps increasing, still gonna pick this up.
Re: Saucy Visual Novel Nekopara Is Coming To Switch With Extra Content
Played Vol 1 and 0 on Steam, it's mostly cute cat girls doing cute things, not my cup of tea. Artwork is beautiful though...
I rather see other visual novels coming to the Switch, like Clannad or Grisaia.
Re: Kimishima Talks Nintendo’s 3DS Strategy Going Forward

Re: Capcom Explains (Again) Why Monster Hunter World Isn't Coming To Switch
I'll be picking it up for my PC anyway.
I would appreciate if they localized MHXX though...
Re: Video: Retro Emulation Finally Comes To Switch Following Homebrew Hacking Efforts
I wonder if it'll be possible to run PS1/PSP emulator on the Switch, i could get behind this.
Re: Feature: Memorable Games of 2017 - Ever Oasis
I still have to finish it, but the few times i played it i enjoyed a lot.
I hope we get a sequel...
Re: Review: SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition (Switch eShop)
Picked this game dirt cheap on Steam a while ago alongside Dig 1, both are pretty fun.
Currently with my eyes set on Dig 2, i might pick it up after i reduce my current backlog a bit.
Re: Editorial: Trying to Play Monster Hunter XX in Japanese on the Nintendo Switch
Maybe it's just me but i rather wait for the localized version, until then i'll keep playing 4U/Gen/World. I'm not exactly in a hurry.
As for the people panicking, just calm down and give it some time. I have a feeling the Switch will get it's own MH game in the future.
Re: Pokémon Crystal Is Coming To 3DS Early Next Year
Thankfully i skipped Gold/Silver because of the huge backlog i still had finish back then, i also had a feeling this would come sooner or later.
My 3DS is waiting, bring it on.
Re: The Villainous Giovanni Returns In Pokémon Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon
Ugh, i don't like pre-ordering but i really want to play this game as soon it's available...

Re: More UK Gamers Bought The Wii Version Of Just Dance 2018 Than Switch, Xbox One Or Wii U
I'm surprised that you guys are surprised, a lot of people bought the Wii and even the Xbox 360 + Kinect just for dancing games.
I know some people who even bought the Wii just for Wii Fit, there is a market for these type of games and is actually pretty huge.
Re: Payday 2 is Still Set for a 'Winter' Release on Nintendo Switch
Game is fun with friends, not so much with strangers and it's terrible solo+A.I, the bots pretty much plays in a vegetative state.
Unless you gonna play this with your friends i don't recommend, otherwise go for it.
Re: Video: Here's How The Switch And New 3DS Versions Of Fire Emblem Warriors Compare To Each Other
For a 3DS game it doesn't look bad but most people will get the Switch version if they have the choice.
For 3DS only users it pretty much looks like Hyrule Warriors Legends, not a bad thing for a very old handheld.
Re: Mighty Gunvolt Burst Gets Two New DLC Characters
Seriously, Capcom should hire these guys again to make a new Mega Man.
Re: Review: Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition (New 3DS)
I have on my PC and my phone, it's already more than enough.
Re: Sony Doesn't Consider Handheld Gaming To Be A "Huge Market Opportunity"

Re: Take a Look at the Art Book and Harbinger Class for Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth
Loved the demo, i'm definitely picking this one up at launch.
Re: Super Mario Odyssey's File Size is Only a Little Bigger Than an NBA 2K18 Save File
I think the biggest save file i saw in my life was The Sims 3, it was almost 1GB. But considering the amount of custom made characters and houses you can create in that game i kinda understand the file size.
Re: Review: Kingdom: New Lands (Switch eShop)
I paid like 5 bucks on Steam and enjoyed it, i wouldn't say it's a 10/10 but i think it deserve more than a 6.
For anyone on the fence wait for a sale if needed but try to give the game a chance.
Re: WayForward Is Hoping To Bring Mystik Belle To Switch Soon
There was a lot of hidden gems made with GameMaker for PC/PS4/X1, i hope they add support for Switch export soon.
I use it as a hobby and it's a very powerful 2D engine and not very hard to learn, no wonder a lot of indie developers use it.
Re: Nintendo Is Resurrecting The NES Classic Mini And Increasing SNES Classic Inventory
After past experiences you can't blame people for having doubts, hopefully this time around they can deliver it.
I might actually get both if i can order them for retail price from a normal store like a decent human being.
Re: 80's Overdrive Developer Breaks Silence With Development Update
Definitely picking it up for my 3DS, i hope it comes out this year.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th September (North America)
Getting MH Stories for sure.
Re: You'll Be Able To Sacrifice Resolution For Frame Rate In Fire Emblem Warriors On Switch
Re: Stardew Valley Studio Waiting Until It's "Absolutely Certain" Before Announcing Switch Release Date
All i can say for Switch owners: buy this game, it'll be worth the wait.
I got over 70 hours on Steam, enjoyed every minute of it.
Re: Let's Sing 2018 Is Coming To Switch And Wii, But Not Wii U
Oh, i remember hearing a few years ago that people thought the Wii U was an accessory for the Wii instead of being a new console. Maybe these developers did the same?
Re: New Trailer Reveals Fresh Details for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
Can't wait to play this game.

Can't wait, i'm definitely picking this game up!
Re: Nintendo of America Confirms Another 2DS Bargain Bundle
@chiefeagle02 It says "included pre-installed" in the art box image from the article so i'm assuming it comes in the SD card ready to play.
For reference my MK7 bundle also came pre-installed by the way.
Re: Nintendo of America Confirms Another 2DS Bargain Bundle
I think it's a good deal for people in a tight budget or if you want to gift someone, you get access to a huge library of games and start off with a really good game.
Re: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Heading to the West in 2018
I really loved the idea of switching between 3D and 2D graphics so i'm going with the 3DS version.
Re: Editorial: amiibo Has Stalled, Because Nintendo is Forgetting What Makes It Special
I don't own any and i'm not really interested on the in-game content they unlock.
But i admit i would like to get the Callie and Marie ones just for collection, they are pretty cute. Aside from that, meh.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo 3DS Games of 2017 - Summer Edition
I'm buying Etrian, Layton, Mario, Ultra Moon, Metroid and MH Stories for sure. As for the rest i still have to check them properly.
Keep releasing games and i'll keep buying them. Bring DQ11 and MHXX too!
