I'm a huge fan of the SteamWorld games and recently started another playthrough of Heist 2. I hate they've been struggling, but hope this helps their overall vision for gaming.
@FoxyDude Bingo. Plus, they're making it so Max Battles can use Remote Raid Passes, too. So the daily limit is increased, but the chance to use them more than doubles. And yet they're still outrageously overpriced.
I personally feel like the Max concept in general is a big swing and a miss for me inside Pokemon Go. I have almost no desire to collect any of these, even for the dex.
This game specifically had me trying to spread the word of Golden Sun way back when it was released. When I realized I was now playing the perceived BAD GUYS from the first game, and that I spent the whole first game essentially powering up my eventual enemies, I was blown away.
Obviously, it runs deeper than "good" or "bad" with all of these characters, but I still think it's one of the best RPGs anyone can can play.
As an aside, I kept my cobalt DS Phat for SOOOO long because I was hoping my TLA data would eventually be able to transfer into Dark Dawn directly from the cartridge. Spoiler alert: it did not
I specifically went through the steps to reset my long-forgotten password just to log in and add my two cents: what the actual eff are they going on about the soundtrack being unmemorable? Are they trying to start a fight or something?
Yes, it does have a lengthy beginning, and the dialogue throughout can bog you down... but the soundtrack? Bite your tongue!
I love Awakening, and it inspired me to create an account here (see my Avatar) with the goal of occasionally adding my two cents to the conversation. It was a fantastic game and rekindled my love for tactical strategy games.
The only reason I Mega Evolve now is to get extra candy on Pokemon types who match the Mega. And since I have a plethora of Mega Beedrill candy, that's often the one tapped for duty.
I am working to get a giant flower to bloom at my workplace and another to bloom outside my apartment. Beyond that, I don't know when I'll find the effort to care about this game.
I love the SteamWorld games and, like everyone else, await the next entry in the series. But it sounds like I should be looking at a couple other games in the meantime.
They'll keep the old distance, because that means there's a greater chance you'll spend money on Remote Raid passes to participate in the gym battle that was temporarily within reach, but is now out of reach when you're sitting at work on a break.
That would be my situation, but I stopped playing just before Go Fest and I'm still feeling good about it.
My sister's wrist was in a cast when we got our NES and she learned how to play video games with her index and middle fingers on A/B, just like in the video. She still attempts to play that way to this day.
The distance increase was the most beneficial thing for me. There's a Pokestop near my apartment that's been within reach since the change. I'll miss it.
Wowsers. I am an avid, rabid capturer, especially within online random match-ups. This is a wake-up call to people like me. Thank you for this helpful PSA.
Something I'm really enjoying is being able to use the action bar to IMMEDIATELY jump into an online Hub quest. It's been so fun to quickly and reliably fall into someone else's quest and hunt with like-minded people. It's a breath of fresh air.
@Matl The Carmen Sandiego games were fun. I remember my library computer time being relegated to playing those games. PBS also had a game show in the 90s that was a lot of fun to watch.
I loved the book series that loosely tied into to this game. I've always thought Karen Traviss contributed interesting perspectives to the Star Wars mythos. It's too bad her stuff was essentially retconned, even before Disney came along.
I've never worked out consistently in my life. The closest I came was an early-morning walking regimen last year before it got cold.
But I recently gifted myself Ring Fit Adventure and it is making a difference. The gamer in me really enjoys the RPG elements, and I like how it's making me sweat with movements I didn't think would be so hard. I'm coming up on 13 days of use and I've convinced my brother to give it a try, too.
I use it to speed up text chatting in Animal Crossing. I'm quicker to compose a message with it rather than in-game, especially since you're told to always close it to allow someone to arrive or leave.
This is the first AC where I have not slipped down the time stream. I used to fudge the clock a few hours or a day or two to "catch up" or "speed up" but not this time (pun fun).
I've never heard the orginal song, but I enjoyed the video. I like her channel. Her review for Breath of the Wild is what hooked me and I can't wait for her full video about Animal Crossing.
I've enjoyed all the SteamWorld games so far, but Heist is definently the best. I can't count how many times I was on the edge of my seat, even with well-equipped characters. Heist 2 would be my first pick.
I used to be bad at catching wasps. Now I don't fear them at all (not like the tarantulas...) As others have stated, just have your net already equipped, shake the trees while holding it, and you're golden.
I bought this game twice for the N64 and loved it so much. The music and sound effects were glorious and I loved customizing my pod and wiping the floor with Sebulba on his home planet of Malastare.
One of my favorites from the N64. I bought it at Christmas last year during an Xbox sale. At both stages in my life, I still haven't beaten it but have a lot of fun trying to be stealthy with the Tech Bow.
I still play this on Xbox with a group of guys on a regular basis. It's a blast with friends. I probably won't get the Switch version but recommend more people actually PLAY the game and not rely on outdated reviews. There are still glitches, but they really just add to the charm at this point.
Animal Crossing is a game I'm waiting for. I'm not sure I can handle a delay, not after being teased out with that strange board game they put out on the Wii U. Hopefully this will be an early Fall release.
I feel like I've been patient long enough, just so I can catch the same bugs, fish, and fossils all over again. And be happy doing it!
I love Armello a lot but you can't find enough people online to play a proper multiplayer game anymore. As mentioned by others, cross-platform support would help here.
It would also be nice if you could setup a private match with one other person and two bots, like on Xbox.
This game has been on my radar for a while and I've prepurchased it and check every day to see if a glitch will let me play it early.
I've never had an opinion about card-based games but you'd think they were mass murderers the way people talk about them. I think Image & Form have another hit on their hands and I can't wait to play and replay this one, too.
The reviews were not kind, and yet I've logged over 200 hundred hours playing with a small team on Xbox. We have killing Jason down to a science. It's a fun game and some of the best parts are when the glitches and bugs come out and play.
AC3 was my first Assassin's Creed. I started it and grew bored with the tutorial and put it away.
I came back to it and realized I wasn't even playing the best part of the game. After I started playing as Connor, I really enjoyed myself and I didn't understand why so many people gave it crap. I've played Black Flag and AC2 as well. Black Flag was also great but 2 was a little dull for me.
I will probably not buy it again if it comes to the Switch, but I would encourage anyone who hasn't played it to do so and don't give in to the naysayers.

Europe's looks like the cover for a horror game where you must harvest souls under light of the moon.

Re: Thunderful Announces Its Second Restructuring Program In One Year
@iNintendo My thoughts exactly, and they wouldn't have been so glib either after learning about which games they're attached to.
I'm kind of saddened by this news. There isn't a SteamWorld game I haven't liked yet.
