Steamworld Dig 2

A brand new game in Image & Form's SteamWorld universe is now in development, the company has revealed.

The news actually comes the studio's Twitter account, where the team has put out the call for any talented 2D artists who might fancy working on the new title. Naturally, it stops short of giving away too much.

In a later tweet, Image & Form said, "Even though we'd love to tell you more, this is all we have at the moment! We don't know when it'll be announced or released but we are sure you'll love it once it is! Thanks for your patience!"

Switch already has SteamWorld Dig, SteamWorld Dig 2, SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition, and SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech available to buy from the eShop, and judging by the quality of those entries we'd sure love to see even more.

Image & Form actually gave away 1,000 copies of SteamWorld games last week.
