@Samalik Uh? You realize only, maybe a few hundred to a couple thousand people would play it outside of Japan if it was in Japanese only, because there are very few non-Japanese gamers who can read Japanese. I can to an extent, but I would certainly be frequently confused due to my, maybe 1st or 2nd grade level Japanese. And most people can't even understand the language at all...
@CharlieZee Are you a bot? I find it hard to imagine an actual person wouldn't understand that he bought a console and physical games for his nephew off of Ebay. You do realize not everything off of Ebay are stolen goods right?
So now we'll see on-screen achievements like PS4 trophies?! Nice! All of these changes and additions are much appreciated! I'll definitely replay the game for the enhanced and additional story elements!
There seems to be a bug with the online dungeons making the hottest dungeons and newest dungeons not appear in the list. The only thing that does work is the search tab...
@UltimateOtaku91 Uh...this would totally work on Switch. DQ XI had better graphics than this on PS4 and yes there's a PS4 version for this upcoming game too so it's not being limited to current-gen hardware...
@mlt Yeah I agree it's no Ghibli, but it does look good even by manga/anime standards. The people saying this looks like a flash animation are just trolling lol.
@Williamfuchs420 Hard disagree, no way Nintendo is dumb enough to release the next console only 3-4 months after announcing it. Seriously the Switch was officially announced over half a year before launch for a reason. People need time to save up for a console. If you announce it too close to launch almost nobody will buy one at launch...
@Punisher67 No way Switch 2 releases in March. Next year is likely, but given how many first party games are coming to the OG Switch through Summer 2024, its successor will likely release during the holidays of 2024.
@UltimateOtaku91 What if you could sell your games for eShop funds at half their original cost on the eShop and be blocked from playing the game unless you buy it again? That might be an interesting way of doing it, though admittedly I do prefer physical still stick around.
@YugamiSekai I'm pretty sure modern cartridges have faster loading times than Blurays. The only reasons why PS5 and XBoX Se: X have faster loading times than Switch is because they have a more efficient architecture and are several times more powerful in-terms of their CPU, GPU, and other processors. The most comparable consoles to Switch are the Wii U, PS3, PS4, and XBOne and all of them have WAY longer loading times than Switch.
Hey look guys it's an article! What kind of article you say? It's an article! Can't say much more than that because it has zero substance and is pure clickbait...
Rest in Peace Phillip. That said I think the review's a bit harsh, I still loved the game on Wii U VC. Easily a 7 imo. Regardless though it is a very well-written review! 🤓
@HeadPirate Yeah, but those 5% unplayable physical games from 2005 are due to A: not taking care of your discs, or B: environmental issues such as being stored in a place with to much humidity. Virtually all 100% of the games aside from one's with factory defects will still work today as long as conditions A & B aren't met.
@120frames-please LOL. You do realize that it's an incompetence issue by TPC/GF and NOT a console power issue right? There are WAY better looking and larger open-world games on Switch that run with no issues like BoTW and ToTK...
I mean I install and uninstall games all the time on my Switch due to its limited storage and lack of Micro SD Cards over 500 GB due to the chip shortage so I imagine this could be a HUGE problem and fear that to combat this there will be limits placed on how many times you can install games you've purchased...
@Dimjimmer It'd be too late to scrap the Switch version of both games at this point. Even if Switch's successor releases next year, the games will be cross-gen.
@Tyranexx Still hoping for an X remaster that finishes the game's story since the Wii U version had no proper ending due to budget and time constraints.
@Switch_Pro Funny enough, Xenoblade 1 had the most complex battle mechanics, then 2 watered it down to a laughable degree, and 3 found a balance between the two, but as a fan of deep battle mechanics 1 is my favorite in the series.
Edit: Just wanted to clarify that I liked all three games, I just enjoyed my time with 1 the most.
@AlanaHagues What kind of game is this? Action-Adventure? RPG? Platformer? Beat Em' Up? I personally hope it's Action-Adventure like the trilogy on Wii, those were actually pretty good games!
I would love these rewards and at one point had 6300 Gold Coins due to a crazy double points promotion that gave me 4200+ Gold Coins matching what I had earned the entire previous year, but the fact that I'd have to pay for shipping stopped me. I'd even be willing to add like 1,000 Gold Coins to the cost to get the prizes shipped for free, but alas I will never have any of these ultra rare goodies in my gaming collection.
Edit: I wanted to add that I would pay for shipping if a debit card was accepted, but I'd need to open a bank account which would complicate my government benefits as I'm a dependent and my parents are my legal guardians and doing so could false flag me as being more self sufficient then I am.
@JackieCMarlow Yeah, it's SO harmless that it's likely that 30% of low and middle-income jobs will be lost because of A.I. by 2030 according to former experts in the field sounding the alarm. That's nearly 1/3rd of all low to middle-income workers being out of a job...SMDH.
@Dragonite89 That isn't why the Wii U didn't have third party support lol. There's like less than a 10% difference in specs so if Switch can get third party support now, Wii U certainly could have a decade ago...
I called it! I knew that the fact that there are first party titles already known for Switch next year, with likely 2-3 more being announced during the September/October Direct that the console wasn't going to launch in the first half of 2024. That said, hopefully the Switch goes out with a bang. Maybe we can get a Xenoblade Chronicles X Switch port with bonus chapters to finish the story since Nintendo had to rush the game out on Wii U, and maybe we can get a Zelda Wind Waker HD / Twilight Princess HD bundle port as well? One can dream!
@CharlieGirl Not legally in some cases. I'm 100% on @Tasuki 's side on this one. Switch's NSO is the closest thing to playing on the original hardware both in terms of controllers if you managed to snag any of the retro controllers, but also the emulation for most of the games are spot-on as well. Even the N64 games now run better on NSO than on most emulators after the rocky start Nintendo had with the emulation. Plus emulating is a pain in the butt in most instances and depending on your state/province emulation can be illegal even if you have the games and simply dump the roms onto an emulator.
Long story short be sure to check your local laws to make sure it's legal where you live.
@WaffleBoat Seriously! The only N64 game added so far this year was Pokemon Stadium, but to be fair NES/SNES releases on the service have picked back up and Nintendo probably wants to secure a handful of third party releases on N64 on NSO+ before they blow through all of their remaining first party titles on the platform.
