Re: Samsung To "Aggressively Position" OLED Tech In Console Gaming Space

TensuraFan7

@MetalMan Try playing retro games on OG consoles on a modern TV and tell me the modern TV is "better". It may be limited in its uses, but CRT's are still better for PSOne/N64 era games and earlier and are as good as modern TV's for Gamecube/PS2 and original Wii games. The compressed "squashed" pixels to keep the letterbox screen format on 720p or higher resolution TV's and the sharper image quality actually makes old games look terrible.

Okay what the actual heck is this?! This not only is the most ridiculous article I've ever seen, but also talks about a religious story to the readers. Christianity isn't the only religion and there are people who also aren't religious so this article is very questionable. To top it off religious discussion is barred in your own ToS so can someone please explain why the editor got a free pass for a ToS violation? 🤔

Re: Switch Can Break The Traditional Hardware Cycle And Become Nintendo's iPhone, Says Analyst

TensuraFan7

@electrolite77 Okay, but the numbers are telling another story and that is the number of consoles sold likely won't even reach the number of DS's or 3DS's sold during their respective life-cycles. Meaning that not only have they lost console sales going this route, but they've also lost a fair number of handheld sales as well. We are halfway or more through the Switch's life-cycle and it's sold 65 million or so units.

Now there are two things to consider, first is that the hardware is likely to see a plateau and substantial drop in sales over the next year or so which will only get worse as the generation nears its end. The second factor was the Corona Virus creating a massive demand for the console during these lockdowns, that is now over for most and even if things get shutdown again, people who don't work in essential businesses are becoming far too broke to drive sales up in any meaningful way as many people were out of work for months and many others were simply laid-off.

I would venture to guess that the Switch will sell around 100 million units in-total which is far less than the DS and 3DS handhelds sold in their respective generations and with no home console sales, those numbers are actually quite abysmal by Nintendo standards.

Re: Poll: Should Nintendo Release A Digital-Only Switch?

TensuraFan7

@andjahiam Well I have no credit card and zero access to a video game store or any store that sells eShop cards year-round so it's a must for me, that said I do find good games at yard sales every now-and-then so I wouldn't want a digital only console unless...

A: It is FAR cheaper than the standard model.
And
B: It has sufficient space for a large library of AAA downloads.

Re: Nintendo of America Files Two New Lawsuits Against Switch Hack Resellers

I don't like the wording, massive theft and infringement shouldn't apply to any homebrew apps that aren't piracy related yet it seems as though all of the non piracy homebrew apps makers are getting hit with these charges as well. I don't use said apps, but hitting people with theft charges who stole absolutely nothing doesn't sit right with me. 🙄

Re: New Checkout Bot Targeting Online Switch Stock Is Driving The Scalpers Market In North America

TensuraFan7

@tanasten You obviously don't know how the world works. If I buy something and 40 years from now there's a huge demand, but virtually no stock, I have every right to sell it for a high price. Collectors have been doing this for hundreds to thousands of years. Scalping currently or recently manufactured relevant items OR necessities that have a high demand for a massive profit IS disgusting, but your idea is surprisingly FAR more disgusting.
