@Liam_Doolan Shouldn't the quotations be placed around "different" rather than "going after"? Or is that another grammatical difference between US English and UK English?
@Liam_Doolan Uh...dude Concerned Ape said he doesn't think it's the end of the content updates for the game, but your article makes it sound like there will be no more content updates...
I would order things if I didn't literally have to pay more than I'd ever pay for these rewards in the shipping fees. $7.95 shipping for a relatively small Bravely Default II poster is highway robbery...
@Heavyarms55 I highly doubt that most Wii U's are modded. Unlike the Wii, the Wii U is actually quite difficult to soft mod. Wii Mode can be modded easily, however you'd be better off modding the ultra cheap and easy to find Wii than risking bricking the super rare and super expensive Wii U.
@MetalMan Try playing retro games on OG consoles on a modern TV and tell me the modern TV is "better". It may be limited in its uses, but CRT's are still better for PSOne/N64 era games and earlier and are as good as modern TV's for Gamecube/PS2 and original Wii games. The compressed "squashed" pixels to keep the letterbox screen format on 720p or higher resolution TV's and the sharper image quality actually makes old games look terrible.
I hope not, I'm in the camp of people who get headaches from OLED screens. LCD works well enough and no minuscule improvement in screen quality is worth the migraines it'll cause...
Okay what the actual heck is this?! This not only is the most ridiculous article I've ever seen, but also talks about a religious story to the readers. Christianity isn't the only religion and there are people who also aren't religious so this article is very questionable. To top it off religious discussion is barred in your own ToS so can someone please explain why the editor got a free pass for a ToS violation? 🤔
@Doofenshmirtz They have a Wii U dev kit, but not a Switch one. Also their games are decent and feel like genuine NES games. That said they aren't anything remarkable either, but are well worth their price.
@grovertheblue What @Jakiboy isn't considering is the fact that football a.k.a. soccer is pretty much the most popular sport globally, so it IS a pretty safe series to release a new game of lol.
@AndyC_MK84 You DO realize that is the "current" value of his collection, not what he paid for it? I have nearly mint used games that are valued around $200 to $300 used that I paid $40 to $50 for new a decade or two ago. Those same games sell upwards of thousands of dollars sealed in today's market.
@electrolite77 Okay, but the numbers are telling another story and that is the number of consoles sold likely won't even reach the number of DS's or 3DS's sold during their respective life-cycles. Meaning that not only have they lost console sales going this route, but they've also lost a fair number of handheld sales as well. We are halfway or more through the Switch's life-cycle and it's sold 65 million or so units.
Now there are two things to consider, first is that the hardware is likely to see a plateau and substantial drop in sales over the next year or so which will only get worse as the generation nears its end. The second factor was the Corona Virus creating a massive demand for the console during these lockdowns, that is now over for most and even if things get shutdown again, people who don't work in essential businesses are becoming far too broke to drive sales up in any meaningful way as many people were out of work for months and many others were simply laid-off.
I would venture to guess that the Switch will sell around 100 million units in-total which is far less than the DS and 3DS handhelds sold in their respective generations and with no home console sales, those numbers are actually quite abysmal by Nintendo standards.
@DoktorTotenKopf What a dumb response. It's not even out and you are hoping it fails because "I'm a psychic and I know it'll be bad" smdh. I'm not saying it won't be, all I'm saying is give them a chance before hoping their title will fail.
@ryancraddock Question? Does the Switch Pro Controller work with the Switch Lite? I see a sync pro controller option in its settings menu. I'll definitely get one if it is compatible.
Day one purchase assuming I don't receive a press code. I was never a fan of the series when I was a kid because of its slow-paced gameplay, but I grew to appreciate and love the series over the past 15 or so years.
@andjahiam Well I have no credit card and zero access to a video game store or any store that sells eShop cards year-round so it's a must for me, that said I do find good games at yard sales every now-and-then so I wouldn't want a digital only console unless...
A: It is FAR cheaper than the standard model. And B: It has sufficient space for a large library of AAA downloads.
I don't like the wording, massive theft and infringement shouldn't apply to any homebrew apps that aren't piracy related yet it seems as though all of the non piracy homebrew apps makers are getting hit with these charges as well. I don't use said apps, but hitting people with theft charges who stole absolutely nothing doesn't sit right with me. 🙄
@SmileMan64 Rygar NES is an amazing platforming adventure game and is easily in my top 10 best NES games of all-time list! I highly recommend giving it a go! Tetris Attack might be fun for short bursts, Operation Logic Bomb looks fun, and Wild Guns with online co-op, yes please!
@tanasten You obviously don't know how the world works. If I buy something and 40 years from now there's a huge demand, but virtually no stock, I have every right to sell it for a high price. Collectors have been doing this for hundreds to thousands of years. Scalping currently or recently manufactured relevant items OR necessities that have a high demand for a massive profit IS disgusting, but your idea is surprisingly FAR more disgusting.
@leo13 LMAO! You do realize we just have the same stuff, but it's being split amongst more and more streaming services meaning same content just much more expensive...
