@SKTTR I don't understand it either. They're mostly solid to great budget JRPG's. Also the ridiculousness that people are spewing about KEMCO being shovelware is just sad. If they think KEMCO JRPG's are shovelware they must have a really tiny and sad collection of AAA game/s...
Doug Bowser seems like a great guy, certainly far more friendly and unimposing than Kimishima-San. No offense, but I feel a serious disconnect when it comes to Kimishima, I feel that he's just a suit a doesn't actually care about games, not to say he's doing a bad job, he just doesn't feel like he truly loves games like Reggie and the late Iwata-San do/did.
@JayJ Just because you don't like something doesn't mean that it's shovelware. Shovelware is a broken hot-mess of a game with many flaws, this is a decent game. Sure it is VERY niche and requires very specific tastes to enjoy, however it is not shovelware by any means.
@themikestur87 How? Nintendo didn't even make a fraction of the amount of mini's needed to satisfy the demand. Nintendo couldn't possibly have made as much as they did on the VC. I'd say we'd be lucky if there we're 2-3 million NES & SNES Mini's total. Honestly everyone and their dogs wanted them, yet nobody I know irl or online managed to get one due to their scarcity.
@KryptoKrunch Redemption codes no longer work for the game dude, and it looks like you can't even redownload the game if you delete it from your hard-drive...
@YummyHappyPills I have a few games on PS3 that say "Only On Playstation" that have since been ported to other non-sony consoles so that isn't always the case.
@Henmii It's basically the closest thing to a true Zelda-style adventure game alternative we'll have on Wii U and it looks pretty solid to boot so I'd say the price is fairly reasonable.
@BakaKnight Unfortunately if PS4 & XBone are anything to go by, the eShop won't even be accessible without a subscription. Hopefully the @$$#0&3$ won't make 3DS and Wii U servers paid because as far as I'm concerned that would be a breach of their own ToS. At the very least let us Wii U & 3DS owners have free access to the eShop and all of our previous purchases...
@Niinbendo Lol someone who acts superior and thinks his opinion is somehow magical and special like yourself is a prime example of someone being on a high horse. You keep going on spewing hate and I'll keep on setting you straight sonny.
Not to mention the fact that that streaming games apps are completely useless in most areas of the US because internet speeds here aren't very good due to aging infrastructure that most cities patch-up with duct tape as the cables and power-lines fall apart. Heck in alot of areas power-lines arc or shoot electrical bolts all over the place everytime it rains...
@MitchVogel Regardless the Switch doesn't even launch until late-March so games like Stardew Valley shouldn't have been cancelled as any games set to release this holiday season on Wii U would probably sell pretty well since there's not much else to get for the system.
@HeroOfCybertron @JaxonH I just can't understand your sentiment. Either you guys are super rich "elite" or you think that money is disposable. Most of us can't afford to purchase new consoles every few years so these developers will not see any of our money for several years if ever since we can't afford to make the Switch. Plus the Switch is essentially a mobile device and I'm so pee'd about Nintendo's handling of the Wii U that it'll likely be the first Nintendo console that I'll skip, yes I've had them all from the NES to the Wii U.
Perhaps if Nintendo games weren't crashing and burning in-terms of quality this wouldn't be such an issue, but since Iwata's passing, Nintendo has failed to develop a single game on 3DS or Wii U that I'd give more than a 7/10. Honestly if Nintendo continues this trend the Switch could well be Nintendo's swan-song...
No Xenoblade Chronicles X doesn't count as it was in development years before Iwata's passing and was already released in Japan by the time Iwata-San passed away.
@Utena-mobile I don't shop at actual stores on Black Friday, but I occasionally take advantage of some of the online deals. I agree though, Black Friday is an abomination and I truly feel bad for the two dozen or so retail employees who will pass-away due to either being trampled or murdered by crazed bargain-hunters.
So is Nintendo done releasing new Wii U VC games?! It looks like NA is playing catch-up with EU and JP, but we're not getting anything not released in other regions already so I fear that Nintendo is completely done with the Wii U. Heck it wouldn't surprise me if those rumours of Nintendo strong-arming indies into moving their Wii U games to Switch are actually true...
@peeks It doesn't mean the developer can't gimp the graphics, resolution, and audio to port it to said console, it'd probably be pretty easy if the game was a "New 3DS" exclusive since that's virtually as powerful as a Wii.
@JLPick Actually it would be trespassing and illegal entry not breaking & entering since he just walked through an open or unlocked door. It's still illegal mind you, but it's not the same thing.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I avoid smart devices as they're easy for people to hack and spy on you, Everyday run-of-the-mill hackers can do so, which is frightening tbh.
@cmk8 Wow so we'll get to pay thousands a year for VC ala-PS Now?! No thanks I'd rather skip NX if that's a requirement as I'm not Mr. Moneybags and please don't say something stupid like "I should quit gaming if it becomes too expensive" that's a really dumb response I hear too often, especially considering there are far more low to middle income gamers then there are upper income gamers...
@ThomasBW84 TV quality gaming projectors here in the US can be easily found for at or under $100 if you know where to look. I have heard that it's a good deal more expensive in Europe though.
@Action51 Tbh it looks more like a western cartoon with the less chibi-style characters which imo is kinda off-putting. Mind you it isn't anywhere near as bad as others are saying besides that one still image, but I just don't personally like the new look.
I got a chance to play a tech-demo of the game at a local expo and it feels better than Sticker Star, but it's still not as good as the "old-school" Mario RPG titles. Perhaps it'll be improved by launch, but right now I'd call it a solid title from the little I played of the game.
@Buscuitspace There's a serious bug in the game. There are several areas in-which you can go out-of-bounds and end up falling through the ground which results in a hard-freeze of your Wii U.
@Kirk Let's hope if NX is a handheld that can output to TV's that it'll have wireless controllers as well otherwise it'll feel like a gamepad 2.0 and it'll destroy the one thing Nintendo consoles have an advantage over the competition and that is local multiplayer. Sure the others have it, but they don't handle it as well as Nintendo.
@Lzeon Some, not all and you have to admit that without Operation Rainfall Xenoblade Chronicles and it's sequel likely would have never been released in NA. It's just that Nintendo isn't willing to take any risks which is why we get yearly Mario games while most of their other series collect dust...not exactly a company you want to acquire a bunch of fantastic developers.
I'll always have fond memories of Nintendo, but I feel too burned by their recent behaviour to defend most of their decisions anymore. It's gotten to the point where the Wii U is likely my final Nintendo console, though I'll still probably get Nintendo's next handheld at some point.

@Dom Erm...Nippon Ichi Software is an A Budget developer not an indie lol. That said your review was quite informative! Great work.

@Prof_Yoshtonics It's only $9.99 on Wii U.

Two new TG16 games were ESRB rated for release on Wii U so expect those to hit the Wii U eShop soon.
The games are Dynastic Hero and Super Air Zonk.

Re: Stardew Valley is Cancelled for Wii U, But It's Heading to Nintendo Switch
@Oscarzxn Yeah, it's being developed by the old Rare team "Playtonic" so if anything it'd be the superior less bugged version.
The other versions are being developed by a third party.
