Re: Doug Bowser Thanks Nintendo Fans For The "Warm Messages"

TensuraFan7

Doug Bowser seems like a great guy, certainly far more friendly and unimposing than Kimishima-San. No offense, but I feel a serious disconnect when it comes to Kimishima, I feel that he's just a suit a doesn't actually care about games, not to say he's doing a bad job, he just doesn't feel like he truly loves games like Reggie and the late Iwata-San do/did.

Re: The Virtual Console Isn't Coming To Switch, Nintendo Confirms

TensuraFan7

@themikestur87 How? Nintendo didn't even make a fraction of the amount of mini's needed to satisfy the demand. Nintendo couldn't possibly have made as much as they did on the VC. I'd say we'd be lucky if there we're 2-3 million NES & SNES Mini's total. Honestly everyone and their dogs wanted them, yet nobody I know irl or online managed to get one due to their scarcity.

Re: Nintendo Switch to Introduce Paid Online Service in Autumn / Fall

@BakaKnight Unfortunately if PS4 & XBone are anything to go by, the eShop won't even be accessible without a subscription. Hopefully the @$$#0&3$ won't make 3DS and Wii U servers paid because as far as I'm concerned that would be a breach of their own ToS. At the very least let us Wii U & 3DS owners have free access to the eShop and all of our previous purchases...

Re: Talking Point: The Leaps and Falls of Super Mario Run's Launch

Not to mention the fact that that streaming games apps are completely useless in most areas of the US because internet speeds here aren't very good due to aging infrastructure that most cities patch-up with duct tape as the cables and power-lines fall apart. Heck in alot of areas power-lines arc or shoot electrical bolts all over the place everytime it rains...

Re: Stardew Valley is Cancelled for Wii U, But It's Heading to Nintendo Switch

TensuraFan7

@HeroOfCybertron @JaxonH I just can't understand your sentiment. Either you guys are super rich "elite" or you think that money is disposable. Most of us can't afford to purchase new consoles every few years so these developers will not see any of our money for several years if ever since we can't afford to make the Switch. Plus the Switch is essentially a mobile device and I'm so pee'd about Nintendo's handling of the Wii U that it'll likely be the first Nintendo console that I'll skip, yes I've had them all from the NES to the Wii U.

Re: AM2R And Pokémon Uranium Nominations Revoked At 2016 Game Awards

Perhaps if Nintendo games weren't crashing and burning in-terms of quality this wouldn't be such an issue, but since Iwata's passing, Nintendo has failed to develop a single game on 3DS or Wii U that I'd give more than a 7/10. Honestly if Nintendo continues this trend the Switch could well be Nintendo's swan-song...

No Xenoblade Chronicles X doesn't count as it was in development years before Iwata's passing and was already released in Japan by the time Iwata-San passed away.

Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Black Friday 2016 Deals in the US

TensuraFan7

@Utena-mobile I don't shop at actual stores on Black Friday, but I occasionally take advantage of some of the online deals. I agree though, Black Friday is an abomination and I truly feel bad for the two dozen or so retail employees who will pass-away due to either being trampled or murdered by crazed bargain-hunters.

Re: Nintendo Download: 27th October (Europe)

So is Nintendo done releasing new Wii U VC games?! It looks like NA is playing catch-up with EU and JP, but we're not getting anything not released in other regions already so I fear that Nintendo is completely done with the Wii U. Heck it wouldn't surprise me if those rumours of Nintendo strong-arming indies into moving their Wii U games to Switch are actually true...

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th September (Europe)

@cmk8 Wow so we'll get to pay thousands a year for VC ala-PS Now?! No thanks I'd rather skip NX if that's a requirement as I'm not Mr. Moneybags and please don't say something stupid like "I should quit gaming if it becomes too expensive" that's a really dumb response I hear too often, especially considering there are far more low to middle income gamers then there are upper income gamers...

Re: Nintendo Acquires Japanese Company JESNET To Gain Control Of Product Distribution

TensuraFan7

@Lzeon Some, not all and you have to admit that without Operation Rainfall Xenoblade Chronicles and it's sequel likely would have never been released in NA. It's just that Nintendo isn't willing to take any risks which is why we get yearly Mario games while most of their other series collect dust...not exactly a company you want to acquire a bunch of fantastic developers.

I'll always have fond memories of Nintendo, but I feel too burned by their recent behaviour to defend most of their decisions anymore. It's gotten to the point where the Wii U is likely my final Nintendo console, though I'll still probably get Nintendo's next handheld at some point.
