Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Will Reportedly Drop Next Week

TensuraFan7

@martynstuff Nah, hardly unrealistic. Seems pretty likely that we'll get a Let's Go Gen 2 OR Gen 5 remakes since even if Switch 2 releases this year there's going to likely be a Pokemon remake for the OG Switch this year. Pokemon games have mostly been alternating years between new games and generational remakes as of late so it's very likely we'll get one of those this year at the very least with a ???? of a new Pokemon game on the OG Switch next year depending on if the next gen console releases next year and how far into development the new Pokemon game is at the time of its launch.

Re: It's Official, 3DS And Wii U Online Play Ends 8th April 2024

@Serpenterror The eshop will still be up in legacy mode after that date, just not the online servers in games. For petes sake you can still redownload your Wii Shop Channel purchases, Nintendo isn't going to end legacy mode on their digital storefronts on Wii U and 3DS before they do so on Wii. I really wish people would stop constantly spreading misinformation regarding the state of these digital store closures. You can still access your games and redownload them...

Re: Fate/Stay Night Gets English Release For First Time In 2024

@AlexanderDaniels IMO it Depends on how it's localized. With your unyielding mindset you'd probably have next to nothing to play unless you're fluent in Japanese. Nothing against you, but you should definitely not be too much of a stickler against playing any localization as there are a decent number of them that do actually stick closely to the Japanese version's narrative.

@Serpenterror that was delisted last year even before the eShop was shutdown. As for your library of games? WiiWare and Wii VC games can still be redownloaded on the Wii Shop Channel so I'm sure the Wii U & 3DS still have some legs on that front, but definitely future proof your consoles before the digital downloads libraries are axed because hard-drives and SD Cards only last for so long...usually a shorter time than the life expectancy of your consoles themselves.

Re: Three More Of Sega's Classics Are Being Revived, It's Claimed

@TheLX They literally said "preferably without localization" meaning it would be in Japanese. I agree English localization should be better in a lot of cases, but no English text or dubs would be a death nell for any game outside of Japan "especially a text-heavy JRPG like Sakura Wars" since virtually no one would be able to fully understand or enjoy the game.

@Samalik Uh? You realize only, maybe a few hundred to a couple thousand people would play it outside of Japan if it was in Japanese only, because there are very few non-Japanese gamers who can read Japanese. I can to an extent, but I would certainly be frequently confused due to my, maybe 1st or 2nd grade level Japanese. And most people can't even understand the language at all...

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy A Digital-Only 'Switch 2'?

@YugamiSekai I'm pretty sure modern cartridges have faster loading times than Blurays. The only reasons why PS5 and XBoX Se: X have faster loading times than Switch is because they have a more efficient architecture and are several times more powerful in-terms of their CPU, GPU, and other processors. The most comparable consoles to Switch are the Wii U, PS3, PS4, and XBOne and all of them have WAY longer loading times than Switch.
