@Nua It was hilariously notorious in online matches as players were able to skip a long enough portion of the track to take 5-6 seconds off their time each lap lol. xD
@Paraka This is actually a remake/reimagining of Digimon World 1. The town can be built-up, Digimon age and die, and yes Digimon once again can poop! 🤣
@StarPoint There are new issues now though. First Spiny Shells are no longer displayed on the mini-map once thrown and the second is something I ran across when playing offline today. I got hit with waves of Spiny Shells 3-6 within 30 seconds a number of times which is neither normal nor fun... 😒
I love how people are like "pass because it got a bad review" when it received a score of 7/10. At this rate people are going to skip everything that doesn't receive a perfect 10/10...
@Kiyata That's going to be a lot longer than 5 years from now. Heck you can still redownload your games on the Wii, over a decade after Nintendo moved on from the console.
@AG_Awesome @RubyCarbuncle @Ryu_Niiyama @Dr_Luigi As a video games reviewer and owner of a medium-small-sized blog and forum website that focuses heavily on Nintendo-related content, the social media rule is a bit worrisome given its vague language as if me or one of my staff members write a review or article and give the game / Nintendo a less than stellar score / remarks, Nintendo could, in theory retaliate by denying me and my crew service for their products. It's a very slippery slope that makes it potentially dangerous for influencers and the press to be honest out of fear for being accused of slander...
Sorry for the rant, but this is something that had to be said.
@Anti-Matter @Snatcher I would love to see a Transformers War of Cybertron / Transformers Fall of Cybertron Remastered Bundle for Switch. Those were amazing and with the better GPU and CPU of Switch they would look and run better than on PS3 unless the devs went nuts on improving visuals at the cost of performance. Regardless those games went under the radar because by the time the PS3 actually started selling well those games were already as rare as steak tartar.
@Poodlestargenerica @HammerKirby Even the Wii U was slightly more powerful than the PS3 and the Switch is modestly more powerful than the Wii U so yeah not only is it possible, it already exists and is called the Nintendo Switch.
@AlanaHagues Will we no longer be able to add followers on Twitter to our friend's list on Switch. That feature was pretty good for getting some peeps on your list for online games. That feature also utilizes the Twitter connectivity on your Nintendo Account iirc.
@AlanaHagues @Hemibear I've noticed tons of new eShop games get yoinked off the eShop within hours of release. Last month Celestian Tales released with all of its expansions in North America and then swiftly vanished without a trace. The few YouTubers who reviewed it gave it shining praise so oof for those of you who wanted it, but didn't get it myself included...
I honestly thought it was one of the best directs in years. Good surprises, Several new JRPG's, a few new first party announcements, several amazing farm sims, tons of great multiplayer N64 games coming to NSO, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass sneak peak, which tbh looks like the new wave is going to be MUCH closer visually to the base-game retro tracks! Theatrhythm sequel!!! Pog!!! Bayonetta 3!!!!! Crisis Core Remake, a Newly localized Fatal Frame game, and the new game from the Danganronpa team!!!! Even a low-key release of a new Hot Shots Golf on Switch, which I'm guessing was going to be a part of the direct, but had to be trimmed out due to the direct already being almost 42 minutes in length.
Edit: Oh and Atelier Ryza 3! How could I forget?! xD
Things I hated were the Cloud Versions of the Resident Evil games, Villages makes sense, but there's NO WAY Capcom couldn't get native versions of the Remakes to run on Switch, they are just being greedy and lazy...and Tales of Symphonia Remastered which is an absolute scam job. Just the original Tales of Symphonia game for $50 or $60 whereas the PS3 and Steam versions had a remaster of the sequel Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of The New World bundled in and the two game bundle cost $50...
So let me get this straight, Switch is getting only the first game whereas PS3 and Steam got both Symphonia games in a collection for $50 and this'll probably cost $60 on Switch...wow BAMCO that's a low-blow...
@JJtheTexan I wouldn't be surprised if there was a content update for chapter 2, but not a new chapter. It would give us a bit of new content to tide us over without delaying the future chapters by any sizable margin.
@LacesOfClouds8 Unless every single country ends up at war with every other country simultaneously there will be a market for games. Also doubtful if things will get THAT bad and if they do 99.9999999% of us would be dead at that point anyways.
@Rika_Yoshitake Uh...you realize this is pre-alpha gameplay right? The game won't be ready till 2025 at earliest so this game will almost certainly be too much for the Switch to handle, and even if it could, it's pretty safe to say that the Switch's successor will launch before the end of 2025. I'm in the likely 2024 release club lol. @Serpenterror The Wild Arms dev team GameARTS went out of business while developing Wild Arms 6 on PS3.
@KateGray What even is this article? This legit sounds like brainwashing propaganda paid for by the mobile gaming industry which I doubt is your intention...
I highly recommend not doing things that actively lose active members here at Nintendo Life because this article is likely going to cause more than a few members to shy away from this site.
@Fizza I'm honestly shocked that they got this running on Switch and that it's targeting 720p and 30 FPS on the console at release. If they manage this I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they might actually be able to port a somewhat lower graphically intensive Switch port of VII Remake.
@aznable To be fair stretching the screen makes SD retro 2-D games and 16-bit or earlier games look like doodoo, so I understand why they do it, however I do agree that full-screen should at least be an option for those who'd prefer full-screen over unstretched and sharp graphics. 😉
I know I'd prefer full-screen mode if my console weren't hooked to a large 50"+ TV. Before that I had a 32" and before that a 19" widescreen TV so anything less than full-screen on a smaller TV like that was far less than ideal for sure.
@Liam_Doolan Weren't these available to play at the arcades in the West back in the 90's and early 2000's? I think I remember playing these back in the day? 🤔
Alex was hilarious in this vid! Excellent video! I am very much hyped that Mushroom Gorge is returning, also looking forward to the city tracks, Sky High Sundae, and Snow Land. Waluigi's Pinball looks good too. Mario Circuit 3 and Kalimari Desert are my two least favorite wave 2 courses, but the music in Mario Circuit 3 orchestrated is pure ear candy! 🍫🍬🍭
@Anti-Matter Baka just means idiot or dumb and rarely can mean crazy as well in Japanese. That's not a racial slur. Nonetheless it is an insult under quite a few circumstances.
@AlanaHagues Why even cover this? We all know this isn't coming West. Sigh, Level 5 was a great developer and still is, but their suits aren't the brightest bulbs in the industry, essentially cutting out 90%+ of their fanbase by no longer localizing their games outside of Japan...
@Snatcher I mean at least we got a solid second party game with Kirby's Avalanche. Even if it's Puyo Puyo, it still looks nicer than Mean Bean Machine, visually at least. 😉

@westman98 It may not have been Iwata-San's thoughts on the matter also so not cool saying unfounded flack about a dead person.

@Zilock I'm pretty sure the FF VII game you're talking about was an unofficial release rather than something made by Squeenix.

$75 for the standard edition? YIKES!!!
Re: Grandia Teases "Exciting Celebrations" For 25th Anniversary

Re: Ys X: Nordics Announced For Nintendo Switch, Launching In 2023
@Serpenterror You forgot...
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Into Reverie.
&
The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails.
Both of those Trails series games also release on Nintendo Switch in 2023.
Re: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot - Card Warriors Online Service To Be Terminated In 2023
@JayJ It's just a extra minigame within a non-service game. Calling Kakarot a service game would be wholly inaccurate.

@blindsquarel The crafting aspect has been around since New Leaf, has it not? 🤔
Re: Review: Hokko Life - An Animal Crossing-Like That Lacks Charm And Originality
Yeah 5 seems way too harsh. It doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with the game so it should be a 6 or 7 minimum if reviewed objectively. 😑
That said I respect the reviewer's opinion. 👍
