Re: Negative Reception For Devil's Third Is Due To Poor Player Skill, Claims Tomonobu Itagaki

Storytime7

Lol. Itagaki's comments, this article, and these comments are so ridiculous. Is anyone even going to care about this game a few months after it releases? I can understand the intent behind Itagaki's comments because he's trying to defend his game, but none of this is worth making a big deal out of.

@bro2dragons Agreed on your comment about the writer mocking his English. Disgusting behavior.

Re: Review: Kirby Squeak Squad (Wii U eShop / DS)

Storytime7

This is a fair review. It's been years since I've last played Squeak Squad, but I agree that it was a solid title despite not being the most original game in the series. I don't own a copy of the game anymore, so I'll get it whenever it releases in North America.

Re: Xeodrifter Port Confirmed for Wii U eShop

Storytime7

Just completed this game a few days ago. It was fun, but lacking in enemy variety. I wouldn't double dip on Xeodrifter, but I'd consider eventually replaying it on Wii U if owners of the 3DS version can get the Wii U version for free.

Re: Diddy Kong Nerfed In Latest Super Smash Bros. Update

Storytime7

@jamesplusgames By "slower" I meant that weakening a character's combo/kill potential will cause matches to last longer than before. If characters are constantly being made to have more trouble killing, then the game becomes less interesting to play and watch due to drawn-out matches, especially if one player is using a character that favors campy playstyles. Also, Diddy was never a free win. The only reason somebody should lose to a pocket Diddy is because they're bad at the game, or they use a character that isn't able to challenge anything Diddy can do. He's a character that rewards strong fundamentals, and his lack of gimmicks makes him appealing to use.

Re: Diddy Kong Nerfed In Latest Super Smash Bros. Update

Storytime7

@TheGreatBrawler Maybe people will finally realize that Sheik is the best character in this game? No, I doubt that. They'll just go back to complaining about Diddy once ZeRo wins Evo because scrubs never like to give any credit to good players.

@jamesplusgames Smash 4 is already a slower paced game, and weakening options that better characters have instead of buffing low tier characters to increase their combo/kill potential will only make the game even slower in the long run. Also, Diddy was not even close to Brawl Meta Knight. He was Melee Fox at best.

Re: Diddy Kong Nerfed In Latest Super Smash Bros. Update

Storytime7

Diddy was never OP, people are just terrible at this game. I'm sick of the game being made even slower by most balance upates only nerfing characters just because of this scrubby, anti-competitive attitude people have that something must be OP if they can't beat it or if a good player gets results with the character in tournaments. Making Diddy and Sheik less good doesn't make characters like Falco and Ike any less terrible. I still like using the character, but I don't think this makes Diddy Kong more interesting to watch. Now Diddy has to do the same things even more often in order to KO. He doesn't require more strategy after this update at all.

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th April (North America)

Storytime7

Already downloaded Pokemon Rumble World (meh). Might get one of the Xenoblade themes, but won't get XC3D for a while because I don't have a New 3DS. Definitely getting Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and Pikmin 3 in the eShop sale.

Re: Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Update Goes Live to Speed Things Up

Storytime7

Good. Maybe now they can fix the other problems with this game. Why do I have to replay an entire mission if I want to collect a gear I missed the first time? The game should let you replay individual maps instead of wasting the player's time. Now that I think about it, the release of this patch is also disappointing. If they were gonna fix the enemy turns, then why did they wait over two weeks to make the announcement? This patch doesn't help players who are close to the end, and especially not those who have already finished the game.

Re: Review: BOXBOY! (3DS eShop)

Storytime7

@OptometristLime Too bad the reviewer did a poor job of informing readers about this game. There's a lot of stuff the review left out about this game that I saw other reviewers (even GameXplain) mention such as length, and bonus content. The review being short also doesn't allow the reviewer to make a convincing argument, and every point brought up feels weak. Maybe we should expect more from our games, but the same can be said about our reviewers if they're deterring others from buying games without a good reason.

Re: Review: BOXBOY! (3DS eShop)

Storytime7

@GeminiSaint It's just this review that makes it seem that way. I watched the GameXplain review, and there was a lot of content not mentioned at all in this review.

Re: Review: BOXBOY! (3DS eShop)

Storytime7

The complaints in this review seem too nitpicky. Many games have a hint system, and this game at least has some kind of punishment for using it. Also, what is this game supposed to do with retro visuals? If no other game will get criticized for doing nothing with visuals, then why is that the case for this game? "Different reviewers" is not a good excuse. How many games in recent years have even used gameboy inspired visuals? This review does so little to explain why the game is dull, and all the points end up being weak as a result.

Re: Review: Metroid: Zero Mission (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)

Storytime7

@FlaygletheBagel That might be a good point if it weren't for the fact that the 3DS Zelda remakes were co-developed by Grezzo, amd that it clearly hasn't affected other Nintendo releases. We got a new 3D Zelda in 2011 (same year as OoT3D), a new 2D Zelda in 2013 (same year as WWHD), and a new 3D Zelda is planned to release this year (same year as MM3D). These remakes haven't even affected the non-Zelda games Nintendo EAD is developing. In addition to those remakes, we got Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, and a few others since 2011. Not to mention there are even more games coming this year such as Splatoon, Star Fox, and the new Zelda. I wouldn't say those Zelda remakes had a big impact on the development of other games from EAD.
