Lol. Itagaki's comments, this article, and these comments are so ridiculous. Is anyone even going to care about this game a few months after it releases? I can understand the intent behind Itagaki's comments because he's trying to defend his game, but none of this is worth making a big deal out of.
@bro2dragons Agreed on your comment about the writer mocking his English. Disgusting behavior.
Interested in Etrian Mystery Dungeon, but I'll wait until it's $20 before buying. I'm in no hurry to buy it because I still have a few Atlus games on my 3DS that I haven't even started.
I'm not too bothered about this game being disappointing because I was never interested in playing it, but that's unfortunate for anybody who was looking forward to it.
This is a fair review. It's been years since I've last played Squeak Squad, but I agree that it was a solid title despite not being the most original game in the series. I don't own a copy of the game anymore, so I'll get it whenever it releases in North America.
I'm fine with Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and Splatoon for multiplayer Nintendo games. I'll play Triforce Heroes, but I don't really need so many Nintendo games to focus on multiplayer.
@Hero-of-WiiU You're way too easily offended if you think that. I'm guessing you think Reggie is just as disrespectful? After all, he followed up Hungrybox's comment with some trash talk of his own.
@whodatninja Nintendo fans most certainly care about graphics. The graphics are one of the biggest complaints about the new Star Fox. Even on this site I've seen people say it looks like a GCN/PS2 game.
Prime fans are so stupid. A petition to cancel this game, really? It is entitled behavior when you consider that fans of 2D Metroid games have been waiting even longer than Prime fans. I've also heard people say this game will sell terribly, but most Metroid games don't sell well.
I'd prefer a 2D Metroid over another Prime game. The GBA entries were some of the best in the series, but we haven't gotten a 2D Metroid in over 10 years.
Just completed this game a few days ago. It was fun, but lacking in enemy variety. I wouldn't double dip on Xeodrifter, but I'd consider eventually replaying it on Wii U if owners of the 3DS version can get the Wii U version for free.
@RainbowGazelle Your loss. Not buying this game won't make Capcom want to put Resident Evil games on Nintendo consoles. It just reinforces the belief that Nintendo fans don't buy third party games, and you also miss out on a potentially great game.
@Kaze_Memaryu There's a few reasons why it's considered the worst of the main BN games, but I think it's mostly because you have to beat the game three times if you want to see all the content. BN4 is an odd one for me. It's not one of my favorites, but I've played it more than most of the other BN games.
Almost at 1 million! Good job to everyone who supported this game. It's been a while since I've backed anything on Kickstarter, but I'm considering backing this game.
@jamesplusgames By "slower" I meant that weakening a character's combo/kill potential will cause matches to last longer than before. If characters are constantly being made to have more trouble killing, then the game becomes less interesting to play and watch due to drawn-out matches, especially if one player is using a character that favors campy playstyles. Also, Diddy was never a free win. The only reason somebody should lose to a pocket Diddy is because they're bad at the game, or they use a character that isn't able to challenge anything Diddy can do. He's a character that rewards strong fundamentals, and his lack of gimmicks makes him appealing to use.
@TheGreatBrawler Maybe people will finally realize that Sheik is the best character in this game? No, I doubt that. They'll just go back to complaining about Diddy once ZeRo wins Evo because scrubs never like to give any credit to good players.
@jamesplusgames Smash 4 is already a slower paced game, and weakening options that better characters have instead of buffing low tier characters to increase their combo/kill potential will only make the game even slower in the long run. Also, Diddy was not even close to Brawl Meta Knight. He was Melee Fox at best.
Diddy was never OP, people are just terrible at this game. I'm sick of the game being made even slower by most balance upates only nerfing characters just because of this scrubby, anti-competitive attitude people have that something must be OP if they can't beat it or if a good player gets results with the character in tournaments. Making Diddy and Sheik less good doesn't make characters like Falco and Ike any less terrible. I still like using the character, but I don't think this makes Diddy Kong more interesting to watch. Now Diddy has to do the same things even more often in order to KO. He doesn't require more strategy after this update at all.
Voted for Battle Network 3. Don't need Zero 2 because I already have the DS collection, I don't like MM&B, and it doesn't make sense to release BN4 before BN3.
So many spoilers in that video. I have no intention on getting this anytime soon because I don't have a New 3DS, and I've already played the Wii version. Might eventually buy this game digitally when I get a New 3DS if I want to replay it.
Already downloaded Pokemon Rumble World (meh). Might get one of the Xenoblade themes, but won't get XC3D for a while because I don't have a New 3DS. Definitely getting Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and Pikmin 3 in the eShop sale.
Good. Maybe now they can fix the other problems with this game. Why do I have to replay an entire mission if I want to collect a gear I missed the first time? The game should let you replay individual maps instead of wasting the player's time. Now that I think about it, the release of this patch is also disappointing. If they were gonna fix the enemy turns, then why did they wait over two weeks to make the announcement? This patch doesn't help players who are close to the end, and especially not those who have already finished the game.
Meat Boy is not a classic video game character, and his game hasn't even appeared on a Nintendo console. The character does not deserve to even be considered for Smash.
@OptometristLime Too bad the reviewer did a poor job of informing readers about this game. There's a lot of stuff the review left out about this game that I saw other reviewers (even GameXplain) mention such as length, and bonus content. The review being short also doesn't allow the reviewer to make a convincing argument, and every point brought up feels weak. Maybe we should expect more from our games, but the same can be said about our reviewers if they're deterring others from buying games without a good reason.
@GeminiSaint It's just this review that makes it seem that way. I watched the GameXplain review, and there was a lot of content not mentioned at all in this review.
The complaints in this review seem too nitpicky. Many games have a hint system, and this game at least has some kind of punishment for using it. Also, what is this game supposed to do with retro visuals? If no other game will get criticized for doing nothing with visuals, then why is that the case for this game? "Different reviewers" is not a good excuse. How many games in recent years have even used gameboy inspired visuals? This review does so little to explain why the game is dull, and all the points end up being weak as a result.
I bought Xeodrifter, and I'll get Klonoa once I have less games to play. A little disappointed we still don't have Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, but it'll come eventually.
@FlaygletheBagel That might be a good point if it weren't for the fact that the 3DS Zelda remakes were co-developed by Grezzo, amd that it clearly hasn't affected other Nintendo releases. We got a new 3D Zelda in 2011 (same year as OoT3D), a new 2D Zelda in 2013 (same year as WWHD), and a new 3D Zelda is planned to release this year (same year as MM3D). These remakes haven't even affected the non-Zelda games Nintendo EAD is developing. In addition to those remakes, we got Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, and a few others since 2011. Not to mention there are even more games coming this year such as Splatoon, Star Fox, and the new Zelda. I wouldn't say those Zelda remakes had a big impact on the development of other games from EAD.
@Melkac Not to mention we have companies charging full price (or just under it) for remasters of games that are less than two years old (GTA V, Tomb Raider, and The Last of Us). Apparently it's only a problem when Nintendo does it.
@rjejr It's not just you. The trailer also reminded me of Rambi from DKC.
@Rin-go Every NL article about a game not coming to the Wii U is full of those idiots. It's getting to the point where those elitist comments are more common than the "fanboys".

Interested in Etrian Mystery Dungeon, but I'll wait until it's $20 before buying. I'm in no hurry to buy it because I still have a few Atlus games on my 3DS that I haven't even started.
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th July (North America)
I've Got to Run is on sale for both the Wii U and 3DS. Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold also got a demo this week.
I usually don't complain about the weekly downloads, but there really isn't much at all. Terrible week.
Re: First Impressions: Basking in the Glow of Atlus' Legendary Lineup
Good to hear these are looking promising. I doubt either will be a day one purchase for me, but I might get them if I ever finish my 3DS backlog.
Re: First Impressions: Trying to Believe in Devil's Third
I'm not too bothered about this game being disappointing because I was never interested in playing it, but that's unfortunate for anybody who was looking forward to it.
Re: Video: Nintendo Begins Promotion Of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer In Japan With Two New Commercials
Cute.
@Zyph Yeah, I'm way more interested in this now than when it was first announced.
Re: Devil's Third Will Be Released In North America, Just Not By Nintendo
The game is still coming out in NA, so it's not worth making a big deal out of the fact that it needed a different publisher.
Re: Metallic Blue New Nintendo 3DS XL Looks Set for North American Release
Looks nice. I might get this color when I buy a New 3DS.
Re: Review: Kirby Squeak Squad (Wii U eShop / DS)
This is a fair review. It's been years since I've last played Squeak Squad, but I agree that it was a solid title despite not being the most original game in the series. I don't own a copy of the game anymore, so I'll get it whenever it releases in North America.
Re: FreezeME, Coming to Wii U, Looks Rather Similar to Super Mario Galaxy
Looks like a worse version of all those games the developer mentioned.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Hints at Smaller New Nintendo 3DS for North America
Day one if we get it this year. If fall comes and it's still not confirmed, then I might just get the New 3DS XL instead.
Re: Nintendo Download: 18th June (North America)
Bought EarthBound Beginnings a few days ago. Definitely getting Sacred Stones, and maybe some of the games on sale.

@OneBagTravel Pikmin 3 was in the sale they had back in April.
Re: Rumour: Animal Crossing and Pixel 8-Bit Mario amiibo Look Set For E3 Reveal
I hope I never decide to start collecting amiibo.
Re: Review: Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure (3DS eShop)
Not day one, but I'm getting this soon.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Franchises We Want to See at E3 - Metroid
I'd prefer a 2D Metroid over another Prime game. The GBA entries were some of the best in the series, but we haven't gotten a 2D Metroid in over 10 years.

Re: Splatoon Storms to Top Spot in Japanese Charts With Six Figure Sales
Well deserved. I was excited for Splatoon ever since it was revealed at E3 last year, but I wasn't expecting to enjoy it this much. It's so much fun.
Re: Nintendo Download: 28th May (North America)
Getting the Mega Man games eventually. Also buying Splatoon day one, but I'm getting a physical copy.

@BaffleBlend Only if you didn't read the article. This is a retail game.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Pushmo: Hippa Land For 3DS eShop, Out Now In Japan
Wasn't expecting this, but looking forward to it.
@ferrers405
You pay for the game, not for temporary items that make it easier to beat levels. This is nothing like Pokemon Shuffle.

Re: Reminder: Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Out Now for the New Nintendo 3DS XL in North America
@JubilifeRival You should definitely play Xenoblade. This was one of the best games on the Wii, and it's one of the best JRPGs in recent years.

Finally! It's been way too long since the last one.
Re: Video: Nintendo Shows Off More Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Footage

I bought Xeodrifter, and I'll get Klonoa once I have less games to play. A little disappointed we still don't have Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, but it'll come eventually.

@Spoony The original didn't look much better. With the smaller screen, I'd assume it's not too bad when playing the game.
