@ryanator008 You can't honestly expect them to care about that when they were more concerned with saving the tournament. It's just a tweet, get over it.
@ryanator008 Isn't the limit 140? 136 characters (the amount in that tweet) is very close to the limit. Also, are you really complaining about a tweet being unprofessional? lol
@Swiket It worked well for Rhythm Heaven on the DS. I got a perfect on every minigame, so I can't agree with your comment about the touch screen lacking precision for these games. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing a more traditional control scheme in this game.
@Henmii 30 new minigames is plenty considering the previous games reused ideas after 20-25 minigames. Some of the content from older games in this new game is from Rhythm Tengoku (released only in Japan), so plenty of people haven't even gotten a chance to play those minigames before.
The entire purpose of the bomber's notebook was to make it easier to keep track of quests. In no way is it "dumbing down" the game by improving a feature that is already in MM.
@JasonAnArgoNOT64 That's because Game Freak actually expands and improves on the competitive aspect of Pokemon. Sakurai has made it clear that he doesn't care about that side of the Smash community, so people who preferred Melee have no choice but to stick with that game. You should actually try to understand why people still play that game competitively before criticizing them for it.
@GamerJunkie The Humble Bundle is offering a completely different Shantae game. The game on sale in the eShop is Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, and that game has only been out for a little over two months.
@JasonAnArgoNOT64 Except these "melee fanatics" you speak of have not insulted anybody in these comments. No, all I see is fans of the new games bashing melee fans based on how they assume we act. Your profile says you're 17 which is way too old to act like a little instigator.
@Dipper723 The first Metroid hasn't aged well. It was remade on the GBA as Zero Mission (fantastic game), but that isn't available on the Wii U VC. I wouldn't say the original is horrible, but Super Metroid is better.
@BaffleBlend I'm not insulted by people who can support their opinions in a calm manner. No worries, man.
@Dr_Corndog No, I misworded what I was trying to say because it was late at night. I meant to only include wavedashing when I mentioned options, but added L-Cancelling to my post for some reason. Of course, I forgot I have to perfectly convey my opinions if I don't want Sm4sh nerds jumping down my throat for even implying Melee is better competitively (not even better overall).
@BaffleBlend I think the competitive scene for Melee will be just fine. Melee doesn't have much going for it anymore when played casually, but that's because other games in the series are better suited for that kind of play.
Also, when I use the terms "casual" and "competitive", I'm not trying to imply one is better than the other. Some people tend to think that, so I just wanted to clarify that in this post.
@shinokami I like all the Smash Bros games, but Melee is easily the best from a competitive standpoint. You mentioned skill and how technical the games are, so I was just calling you out for your ignorance. Wavedashing and L-Cancelling provide more options that increase the amount of strategy in the game, and raise the skill cap. 9 times out of 10 my opponent will go for a meteor smash or spike when they get me off stage (and fail), so it's not like Smash 4 isn't without its gimmicky KO methods.
The comments on these artcles are always so ignorant. Maybe people on this site wouldn't think this way if they bothered to improve at the game while they put so much time into it. Also, just because someone can use a low tier character well does not mean tier lists aren't important. Low tier characters usually struggle in competitive play.
Then again, I'm not even sure why some of you get worked up over tier lists. They only really matter for those who compete in tournaments, so it shouldn't matter if you're not one of those people.
@BensonUii It looks a bit more open than past entries, but it'll probably still be mostly linear because of the emphasis on story and set pieces in the Uncharted games. Still hyped for both Uncharted 4 and Zelda U, though.
@crzysortagamer I liked it, but I probably wouldn't have played it if I didn't get the game for free by purchasing Azure Striker Gunvolt. Even for a low price, it still feels like a short side game (mostly because that's exactly what it is). My play time is at 58 minutes according to my activity log, and I beat the game with all three characters.
@ZenTurtle There's plenty of games that are hyped up to be the greatest ever made. I don't see why people get so worked up over others enjoying some games more than others.
@JakeOfAllTrades Ha. The overworld in OoT is not just Hyrule Field, and MM had to have plenty of sidequests considering the pathetically small amount of dungeons.
@skywake Yoshi is far from the only thing World added. Secret exits, ghost houses, an actual overworld (rather than just a map with the occasional enemy), star world, etc.
Both games introduced tons of things that became staples of the series, so I'd say they're about the same when it comes to being influential.
@minotaurgamer All those statements are false. If anything, both SMB3 and SMW wouldn't exist if it weren't for SMB. SMW has just as much content as any classic Mario and plays just as well, so by no means is it rushed. Castlevania 3 did connected worlds in a different way than World. In that game, you could sometimes choose different paths to advance, whereas in SMW it was an actual overworld.
@mh1989 The game is short, but that's not a problem considering the game doesn't cost that much. Also, influence from older games is not a bad thing if a game does something new with it (which this game does).
Or they're just trying to get more money by reselling games that aren't even old enough to really benefit from being remastered. If they want people to play the games they missed out on, isn't that what PS Now is for?
@unrandomsam So? I didn't mention that game (mostly because I never played it) at all. My complaint about the content of the review highlighting a few issues like the game not pushing the series forward with innovation and downplaying many of the game's strengths isn't just limited to this one review, it was more of a general statement.
New levels, abilities, interaction between the foreground and background to a larger extent than many other games in the genre, and some new modes aren't enough? It's ridiculous that even with a lot of new content, a game can still be criticized just because it didn't reinvent the series.
Not so much the score as it is the actual content of the review that's disappointing.

Re: Review: Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. (3DS)
I'm also getting this day 1. I enjoyed the demo, and it's nice to see another new IP from Nintendo.
Re: WayForward to Celebrate 25th Anniversary With eShop Discounts
Already have all those games on my 3DS, but I might get MSF on the Wii U.
Re: More Marth amiibo Stock Heading to North America in Late April
Late April? That will most likely be too late for anyone picking up Codename S.T.E.A.M. on launch day.

Re: Rumour: Cave Story 2 Teased at PAX South and Could Be in the Works
Cave Story is easily one of my favorite games. I'm not sure if I want a sequel, but I would definitely be willing to give it a try if one is made.

@BensonUii Uncharted is not open world in the slightest. Uncharted 4 looks great, but it's not the same kind of game as Zelda U or The Witcher 3.

Re: Poll: Nintendo Minute Debate - Is Super Mario World or Super Mario Bros. 3 More Influential?
@unrandomsam Mario 3 isn't much better when it comes to difficulty. World 3 is much harder than world 4, and world 6 is harder than world 8.
