Re: Review: Clive 'N' Wrench - A Banjo-Kazooie-Style Throwback That Hits All The Wrong Notes

SilverM

@Anti-Matter the problem is that is not only performance issue (that's a switch version problem, yes), but the game is just... bad. I remember I tried the demo (on PC) and controls were awful (and those are really important in a platform), the boss battle was boring and the level I played, well, not too bad but nothing special.
I hoped it could improve (that demo is pretty old), but unfortunately it seems it's just a mess.

Re: Video: Kirby's Return To Dream Land Deluxe Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison (Switch & Wii)

SilverM

They really made a great job. Aside from the new copy abilities, new minigames and epilogue, you can clearly see from this video some of the new little things they added, like new animations for swimming at 360° or entering the exit level doors. They added new animations for the super copy abilities (on Wii they are all the same), they added new moves for some abilities (taken from Triple Deluxe and subsequent titles), dodge, taunts like in Forgotten Land, and lots of other little new things to make the game "newer". This is clearly NOT lazy, at all.

Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild And DLC Treated To 30% Off In eShop Sale

SilverM

@Ralizah it's unlikely. In Breath of the Wild you could save into the DLC's dungeon and close the game. What would happen if you want to load the game but your subsciption to the NSO ended? This problem doesn't exist for the Splatoon, AC and Mario Kart dlcs, since you cannot save "into them", but you will always have to select them every start up.

Re: UK Charts: Fire Emblem Engage Tumbles Down To Seventh Place

SilverM

@Spookles I really can't agree on this. Not only this year will actually see the release of a new Pikmin and a new Metroid, but, while it's true lately we got too many Pokemon and Kirby (only one main Fire Emblem and a Warrior since 2019), Nintendo even realeased the last two years a new Xenoblade, Splatoon, Switch Sports, Famicom Detective Club, Game Builder Garage, Metroid, Warioware... lots of different IPs.

Re: Soapbox: If You Thought Last Year Was "Sad" For Switch, 2023 Might Be Hard To Handle

SilverM

How could a year with Xeno 3 (masterpiece), Bayonetta 3 (finally!), Splatoon 3 (yeah, too similar to 2, but I loved the story mode), Kirby and the forgotten Land (the best Kirby? No, but still awesome), Mario Rabbids 2 (incredibly funny), Pokemon Arceus (graphically not impressive, but pretty engaging and different) and multiplatforms like TMNT Shredder Revenge, Persona 5, Monster Hunter Sunbreak, Crisis Core, Triangle Strategy and so on be a bad year?!

Re: Bowser Jr. And Birdo Star In Mario Strikers: Battle League's Third Free Update

SilverM

@sixrings I wouldn't put Golf and this on the same level. Golf's 3 updates came in like 4 months and a half, and each of them added way more than Striker's one. The first a character, a course (that is more than a soccer stadium) and ranked online. The second 2 characters, 2 courses and more difficilty options for CPUs and the third one other 2 characters, 2 courses and 2 new modes. On top of that, while still a little bit barebones, Golf had more single player content on lunch.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Details Free Title Update 3, Launching Next Week

SilverM

@Rayquaza2510 well, I'm the first who would like new/returning monsters more, but what I meant is that Iceborn updates were better just because it need to be, since before any update had less variety than sunbreak (always without updates). Like, Sunbreak have already a great variety of monsters (it even have more monsters classes), while Iceborn did not, and needed something like Rajang, who added a monster of a class that didn't have yet (while Sunbreak couldnt since already have all of them).

Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Details Free Title Update 3, Launching Next Week

SilverM

I don't understand the complaint that much. Iceborn had even new monsters and not only sub/rare because it need them! Iceborn have 48 unique monsters, while Sunbreak have 50, so, even without adding new/returning/not sub monsters, it already have more than Iceborn, while IB without updates only had 44. So every sub addition (and when they are so different like Violet Mizutsune, I don't really see a problem) is a plus.
That said, leaks clearly confirm at least a couple if new/returning/not sub monsters (as the updated roadmap).

Re: Tales Of Symphonia Remastered Will Be Launching On Switch Next February

SilverM

A sinole 30fps porting at 50€, while Vesperia was the definitive edition, with new contents for europeans and americans, so new dubbed dialogs, new translations (the original was only in english, the remastered had 4 new languages, while Symphonia had already the same translation this remastered have), always at 50€. Not the best approach, they could at least add Dawn of the New World inside (not the most favourite sequel, but still...)

Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak's Third Free Title Update Is Out Late November

SilverM

@Rayquaza2510 as far as I would be the First ti prefer a new or a returning Monster, Sunbreak already have more Monsters that are not sub/rare/variante comparse to Iceborn. Sunbreak have 50 Monsters + 20 variants, Iceborn 48 Monsters + 23 variants. So, even if as I said new Monsters would be better, variants are just a plus. (By the way, some leaks apparently tells us there will be returning non-sub too)

Re: Splatoon's Manga Series Returns For The Third Game

SilverM

@Snatcher basically every comedic manga published in coro coro based on video games have that artstyle, like for Crash, Ratchet e Clank, even Kirby.
For Zelda the author just change her style depending on the videogame she have to adapt (and it's not a comedic manga, while still full of silly jokes)

Re: Hands On: Splatoon 3 Brings New Ideas, But Nothing Revolutionary

SilverM

@Munchlax they could (and should) have update Splatoon 2 a little bit more, that's true. But adding too much could be counterproductive. You only have 2 stage at a time, and there are already lots of stages. Imagine adding more. How much I have to wait until I can play in a specific stage? The new moves the inkling can do are another thing that would have been too difficult to implement directly in 2 trough an update, just like the new multiplayer infrastructure. New weapons maybe would have been the easiest thing to add after some adjustments. But having a 3rd (and then 4th) story into a single game? It would be good, but probably too much for the type of game this is. And is nice to change the hub after 5 years. Yeah, I think there's enough for a new game, and most of these things would have been to difficult to implement into the game without changing too much its core or adding too much to it.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Datamine Might Have Leaked Details About Future DLC Tracks

SilverM

@vio yeah, most people just take for granted that the ??? are the non-city tour tracks, but there are 6 of them (apart from Ninja Hodway and the new one). They released 3 in Tour in 3 years, I don't see them releasing other 6 original non-city courses in the next year and a half. 2, 3, maybe 4... but 6 are just too much. Probably some of them really are 64 or 7 corses.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Datamine Might Have Leaked Details About Future DLC Tracks

SilverM

@Ade117 it's a really good selection, I'll admit, but instead of Rock Rock Mountain from 7,I would prefer something like Wario Shypyard or Rosalina's Ice World. We already have lots of "canyon-mountain" courses with falling rocks, but Wario Shypyard is mostly underwater, something only Dolphin Shoals do, but they are completely different, and Rosalina's Ice World, while being another ice track is the only Rosalina's one.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's New DLC Course Is Coming To Mario Kart Tour On Mobile

SilverM

@nocdaes yes, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have done anything to MK8D without Tour. It was already a deluxe version, after all, this dlc was done just because people asked for more for years, so that's really better than nothing, because I don't even believe that they would have release MK9 sooner, since I think they are just waiting for their next console (not something that I like, but than I can understand).

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's New DLC Course Is Coming To Mario Kart Tour On Mobile

SilverM

@nocdaes but some of these tracks were already reused (waluigis pinball was in 7 and choco mountain on DS, for example),so, even without this booster pack, it's easy to guess that they wouldn't had choose them for the retro courses of Mario Kart 9,since 'till MK8 they never put a retro track that was already a retro track in another game. Only in the WiiU DLC, Tour and this DLC.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC - Booster Course Pass Wave 2 Confirmed For Next Week

SilverM

@Jooles_95 It could be, but it could even be that this time there are tracks with much less grass and rocks (basically the two worse textures of the first DLC). This time we have desert, a pinball that is metallic, an ice circuit, a sweet land... if you watch carefully, Mushroom Gorse's grass is not that different than the one in the wave 1 courses, it's just less.
