Now that Free Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has been delivered, all you monster hunters out there might be wondering when the second update is coming.
Capcom has now committed to a "late" September launch for the second free title update. This will include the Flaming Espinas and several other monsters - including rare species monsters and powered-up monsters. Above (and below) is the first look:
This free title update will be followed by a third one in winter - adding several monsters and then more free title update content in 2023. In related news, Sunbreak recently surpassed 4 million units. To thank players, Capcom has issued another item pack:

Some people in that tweet are really strange…
Anyhow a nice tease of the first monster in the next title update.
Wondering what the other included monster will be, pretty sure they tease that too soon.
The original Espinas already uses fire, so this seems a bit overkill. I would have liked to see them go in a slightly different direction, kind of the difference between regular Zinogre and Stygian (who I'd love to see come back). Ah well, more MonHun is great.
Darnit, I'm neck deep in XC3, and Splatoon 3 is just around the corner. I really want to dig into this new content, but I don't have the time!
It's good, but why every variant in sunbreak have to be flame related?
@SilverM
B.O. bish-fire
F. Raj-thunder
S.Mag-Blast
L.Narga-poison
S.Baz-Blast
A.Som-Ice
M.Alm-Fire
P.Rak-Fire
Rathx2-Fire/poison
Of all these variants,only two are new to the "fire" family as well as one new "ice" variant. The others just make natural sense seeing how their base is also part of their respective element. So im not seeing how "every variant is flame related" outside of the base element already present
@MitchaK that's the point. Epinas already was fire type, just like Rakna, Rathian, Rathalos and Bazel was blast. They could have made a thunder rakna or a poison alm if they wanted.
Not complaining too much anyway, the base game didn't have too many fire type, and the roster is among my favorite without a doubt.
Ah, I caught a Flaming Espinas once; fortunately, my doctor was able to prescribe a cream that cleared it right up. /nod
You have to download 11gb every update. Who programmed this? Awful.
We were pretty sure it was Espinas and Mizu variant for the ones in the silhouette. Most suspected the brown Espinas from Frontier, but this is entirely new!
Wonder what the other monsters will be that aren't shown in the silhouette? Hmm...
@durrdevil
I dunno where your getting this info from (that said I didnt watch the vid)
But the first title update deffo wasnt a full 11GB
So I cant imagine the 2nd one to be either.
Personally I havent hunted the new monsters from the first title update more than a handful of times
That said the new qurio crafting has more than held my attention.
Unless the implement some other big feature I cant say Id jump back in for the update.......had I stopped playing the title to begin with.
Im hoping the big game play feature will be qurio crafting talismen of some sort or being able to swap silk bind attacks in any configuration (rather than the you have to have one from each list)
I thought one had to talk to the merchant for these items?
@durrdevil Except you don't, the only big update was for Sunbreak itself.
