I wonder if a big amount people who installed the game uninstalled it immediately after being greeted to a screen requiring a Nintendo account to play the game.
I saw plenty of complaints in people's reviews about this in the app store / play store.
At first, some people said (on Twitter) it could be bad for other racers on certain tracks, like Rainbow Road. However, there's auto-steering in the game, so they won't fall off the track, even if they get a mushroom from Peachette.
Without cross-progression, this'll be a skip for me. I already have Overwatch on PS4 / PC and starting over from scratch sucks. (I can deal with 30fps plus lower visuals, and the gyro controls are really enticing too).
Despite my disappointment, I hope newcomers/veterans who get it will have fun regardless! (that's what really matters in the end) ^_^
I know people here would be uncomfortable with Bayonetta getting horrifically murdered, HOWEVER, if you've played or seen the Bayonetta games, she can get brutally killed in that game too. Just look up a YouTube video of Bayonetta dying and you'll see she can get absolutely crushed be Beloved and blood splatters on the ground.
Bayonetta in Mortal Kombat wouldn't be ridiculous at all (but she would stand out).
So the software is infringing upon the use of the eShop banner and logo? Well I guess it makes sense in that regard, but it seems like it doesn't apply to actually using title keys to download games, is that correct? Or am I missing something?
Why would someone pre-order this? I personally think they won't run out of stock for this. It's not "technically" a limited edition. I'd probably wait until I have enough money for this after it comes out. I'm sure there'd still be plenty around.
@shaneoh @Lucina I think that he probably enjoys himself by playing games well (at least that's what I think). Personally, I don't agree with his opinion, but if it makes him happy, I'd let him do as he pleases (even if it comes off as arrogant).
It says there's 9,000 votes which seems so high, but I'm assuming it counts up all 5 choices individually rather than as 1 collective total vote per user.
So I'm assuming it's more like around 1,800 people voted.
I feel sorry for people that live in suburban and rural areas. Unless you live in a city (like I do), finding Pokemon becomes too much of a hassle. I've seen that some people can only find one Pokestop could be more than a mile away and that's just not worth the trip.
I'd pick Mystic, regardless of how they looked. Now that they've shown them, I must say that Spark is the best. Blanche is good and Candela is alright.
@RoomB31 I know. That's why I said "if". I know the idea is to use your currently bought amiibo for something, like a bonus, but there are people out there who will buy all the amiibo for this game.
This game as a whole however doesn't offer too much content. It's a problem to me because if someone already owns all the amiibo for this game, they won't be getting much out of it. I know the idea behind amiibo is to use them across multiple games, but this game is based around amiibo in a way that isn't beneficial towards the average consumer.
This game can be fun... if you have all the proper amiibo that is. I think this game is only to "encourage" people to buy more amiibo to play the game fully.
If you bought every single amiibo for this game specifically, you'd be paying WAY too much for this "free-to-play" game. You'd spend well over $100 in order to play the whole game, and even then, it's not that good.
I think Nintendo will pick an IP they're confidant in and play it safe with how creative the movie is. They're starting out, so I think it makes sense.
As for the IP, probably Zelda or Metroid. Of course there are others like Fire Emblem or even Animal Crossing.
I'm not so keen on scores anymore. I try to tell my brother not to rely on scores so much because there's no universally accepted score system for video games. For example, a reviewer might score a game 5/10 - "average". Another reviewer might have 5/10 seen as "bad" on their scoring system. Because of this, video game scores to me have always be so inconsistent in their value.
To me, numbers don't tell me much about a game, words do.
For me, it's all about the Smash Wii U mods. I love having custom music and textures. It's pretty much all I use it for. Oh, and using a safe version of the Octolings online (so it doesn't freeze everyone's else's system).
I think the only complaint I might personally have is that some might cheat online in direct ways (like item hacks in Mario Kart 8). Other soft cheats online, like altering stats (Xenoblade with max stats) might not be good for online, but it can be okay since it doesn't really impact other's gameplay. Plus, you can hire people with hacked stats to make the game easier. It's debatable I think.
@BensonUii I'd want Mushroom Kingdom Warriors, but Fire Emblem Warriors would be really amazing too.
Also, I'm expecting some sort of HD remastered Hyrule Warriors for the NX because why not milk that franchise some more. It's best selling Warrior game to date, so they're gonna do it.
"Smash coming to the NX brings up a problem. With the way Smash is titled, 3DS & Wii U, each one has their differences and are considered different versions. Will this also apply to the NX? After all, if it's titled Super Smash Bros. for NX, it can technically be considered it's own version (assuming this is remastered) and it wouldn't be compatible online with Wii U (just like how 3DS isn't). If this turns out to be the case, then new content could be added or mixed from Wii U & 3DS, plus DLC would be packaged on the disc (with some as unlockables). I definitely would like to see 8-player Smash online, or Smash Run (online). The NX could be capable of this."
Banning should only be used as a last resort option if things get too bad. She's only been out for two months and people want bans.
Does anyone remember Melee Sheik and how she was nearly banned because she was deemed "too good"? Of course not (even though there were tourneys that premtively banned her). Nobody remembers the past, so this history is bound to repeat itself in similar ways.
@Harmunt I think it'll be a while before that happens, give or take a few months. Maybe in Summer or Fall there will be new Pokemon DLC. Just a guess though.
I'm assuming that the infinite will be fixed by reducing the block stun, so that you can get out of it instantly (or remove a hit box or two entirely).
So this Black Arwing will be the Rosa of Star Fox Zero? (It's is being developed by PlatinumGames, so of course there would be something like this. The reference is obvious too).
Will the Japanese version be changed in a future patch? If not, I'm not entirely convinced about the changes they made. Don't get me wrong, the changes seem justified in some sense (even though I don't agree with it), but if they made the changes for other regions, why not update it in Japan?
All in all, the changes made to this game (and the deluxe edition) have made me go from "curious" to "uninterested".
Even though the entirety of the game may be too early to judge, we can judge what they gave us from the Direct. In it, they defined Paper Mario as an action-adventure game. Well... that's disappointing to hear because that statement alone shows that this might be Sticker Star 2. After all, in an "Iwata Asks", it was said that Sticker Star will be the new direction the series was taking.
Looking on the bright side, at least it could be Sticker Star done right and it can be a good game on its own merits, but it doesn't mean that it will be a good game compared to the rest of the Paper Mario games (because I don't think it can live up to the overall quality of those games; that's probably a given at this point).
This is just awful to hear... If this is true, there's literally no valid reason for getting this game other than being some die-hard fan of Square Enix and/or this series (which is a garbage reason). Censorship like this is way over the line.
Well, I remember saying that if Nintendo were to do a Direct, it would be in early March, or it would need to be during the last week of this month. I guess the latter was right. However, I didn't expect it to be Pokemon specific.
@Fath Well I gotta say, you do have a good point (several actually) and I can agree with that. The only thing I disagree is Nintendo's reputation of getting hacked easily. This would have been true if we were still in the past, but things are different now and like you said, "Literally nothing online can be regarded as safe these days" and Nintendo is no exception. They've been trying to catch up to Sony and MS by doing online services better to reach a wider audience, but it also means more potential hackers targeting Nintendo (and it's already been happening, just not at the humongous scale of Sony or MS).
...However, it's nothing to really get worked up about since it's much smaller in comparison to Sony or MS. So I'll leave it at that I guess.
@90sRetroGaming Looks like it started working for me now. Maybe the website wasn't ready at the time the site was found. It was probably too early and that's why there was a lock-screen.

@Ralizah Wow, that wedding dress looks so incredibly ugly in the English version, it doesn't even look like a wedding dress at all.

So yeah, Peachette has a very awful item imo.

As far as I can tell, this update did nothing to homebrew users / modders... unless you accidentally update.
I'm not sure what was the point of this update. If it didn't affect homebrew users, what did it affect?
