It's that time again, dear readers, for the North American Nintendo Download Update details. Around all of the buzz for My Nintendo, there are a number of new releases to choose from that could earn some precious Gold Points, along with some discounts and DLC to consider. Let's get to it.

Missed the European Nintendo Download update? Don't cry, it'll be alright - the details are right here.

Wii U eShop

Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus (Aksys Games, $14.99) - A 2D platforming epic with RPG elements, Chronicles of Teddy has NPC interaction, over 30 hours of gameplay and a lot of unlockables. The visuals look particularly attractive here, seemingly with plenty of gameplay variety thrown into the mix - we'll bring you a review soon.

Lovely Planet (tinyBuild Games, $9.99, 15% off until 5th May for those with the E3@Home demo on the same Nintendo Network ID) - A colourful and charming shooter, you run jump and shoot your way through stages as artfully as possible; the publisher describes it as a 'gun ballet'. It looks lovely, as the name suggests, and we'll bring you a review soon.

PixlCross (PixlBit Studios, $5.99) - Utilising GamePad controls for solving and creating Picross puzzles, developer PixlBit studios has also focused on the user interface and Miiverse features. You'll be able to share creations on Miiverse (and elsewhere) with puzzle IDs, and also browse and download others from in the game; beyond that there'll be plenty of offline solo play puzzles. We'll have a review and interview about the game with you soon.

6-Hand Video Poker (Skunk Software, $6.00) - This is exactly as it promises, a recreation of the video poker machines you'd perhaps find in Las Vegas; we'll make a bet and bring you a review.

Now I Know My ABCs (Skunk Software, $2.49) - A slice of edutainment that aims to teach young children the alphabet by colour coding the letters, helping them learn upper and lower cases and serving it all with a dose of positive reinforcement. We'll see whether it's as easy as 1, 2, 3 in our review.

Wii U Virtual Console

Mario Super Sluggers (Nintendo, $19.99) - The latest Wii download to land on the Wii U eShop, this was rather popular back in the day for blending an iconic sport in the Americas with Mario wackiness and motion controls. Naturally there's multiplayer and a host of modes, some incorporating plenty of twists on the sport. We certainly had some fun with it in our original Mario Super Sluggers review.
