Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield File Size Revealed On The Japanese Switch eShop

ShikabaneHime13

@Heavyarms55 Lol. I’m going to be in that line from 6am to midnight, so I’m going to need a distraction. And I remember for the X and Y launch, people were in line with physical copies of the games hours before midnight because a local shop a few blocks away had started selling ahead of time. If we don’t have leaks before then, I can only hope I don’t have people craning over my shoulder or asking me about the starters. Might play strictly in Japanese for that very reason

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield File Size Revealed On The Japanese Switch eShop

ShikabaneHime13

@StarViruZ Not possible given the three stages of encryption on preloads to prevent access. They’re missing the access title key one gets when you purchase digital titles on the day of release and require an internet check to tell the system it’s time to unlock the game on release. And the preload has segments of missing data as well until that key gives permission to access, putting the last bits of info in place. We’re more likely to get leaks from physical copies shipped too early from overzealous retailers. And strange... I saw Shield present when I downloaded just a little bit ago

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Might Have An Autosave Function, A Series First

ShikabaneHime13

@Erufuda Am I supposed to be bothered? I have four children that act far more mature than the poster I replied to. It’s not that I care about the complaints, per se, but the fools walking around (like the poster) saying people shouldn’t be buying these games and essentially attacking those of us excited to play them. They’re games, not life or death. It is seriously not a hill worth dying on just because a developer chooses to go a different direction after all these years.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Might Have An Autosave Function, A Series First

ShikabaneHime13

@GetShulked

Get stuffed and get lost. Nobody but you and the other man-children whining about the dex and graphics and animations cares. Many of you are getting bent out of shape over a VIDEO GAME still marketed primarily at children like it’s life or death. Game Freak did not lie. None of your youtube people have the games on hand to hack and break down anything. Side by side? Video editing is a thing... If you believe random youtubers, you are what counts as these sheeple you are ready to call others out to be.

Re: Camps, Curry And Customisations Come To Pokémon Sword And Shield

ShikabaneHime13

@Yorumi Ok, absolutely fair. And I’m by no means saying they’re perfect and without some degree of criticisms and whatnot. We know they could, or rather should, be doing a little better as a developer and pushing themselves to offer a great experience. But on the other hand, I do still see the love and effort that has been put in and I’m willing to accept what changes have been made if the overall experience appears worth some degree of sacrifices. So far, I’m pretty happy with what has been shown. And I still give them the benefit of the soubt that this is their first major going on the Switch. X and Y weren’t the best when they did the first 3DS games but they brought new things to the table for the series. I’m sure with proper feedback and critiques (not just ramblings, threats and harassment from the more angry fanboys), that perhaps they’ll grow and utilize the system better down the line. I just wish people would step back and look at the games as a whole and not focus on smaller parts of it before even really having reviews or giving it a try themselves (even if that means just borrowing a copy from someone or something if they don’t purchase it)

Re: Camps, Curry And Customisations Come To Pokémon Sword And Shield

ShikabaneHime13

@Yorumi

Well, my kids and I are beyond happy with what we’ve seen so far and nothing in the recent footage looked anything like a 3DS game at all, so... We all have our stances and I’m happy to continue having Pokemon in my household for my kids and myself to enjoy. Games evolve, things get taken away or re-added, new features given a chance. I have a full living dex that I’ve been maintaining since childhood but don’t really care that they opted to stop having all creatures in the game. It’s beyond unreasonable in my honest opinion as the count keeps going up.

Re: Camps, Curry And Customisations Come To Pokémon Sword And Shield

ShikabaneHime13

@Yorumi

It is totally worth it. We made Poffins, pokeblocks and i believe we did the smoothies or whatever in soul silver/heart gold for the pokethelon. Cooking and interactions are not new but being further touched upon as the series progresses.

Just like with the recent Fire Emblem, it’s nice to have a break from just battling and playing the story. Some fluff is good for games and doesn’t necessarily detract from the overall experience.

And given the circulating leaks have been spot on so far, then we’re looking at at least 700 pokemon in the game. That is a very substantial amount to have as far as I’m concerned.

Re: Senran Kagura: Peach Ball's Full DLC Schedule Revealed

ShikabaneHime13

@Taarna @RiasGremory Oh, yes, some people are mind-boggling when it comes to games like this and being so judgmental. I remember someone here had the audacity years ago to say I had to be a horribly unfit mother because I had been excited for one of the 3DS Senran Kagura games and I was ready to knock teeth... Mind you, this was a game that I was purchasing for myself to play outside the presence of my children.

Re: Get Ready To Gigantamax As New Pokémon Are Announced For Sword And Shield On Switch

ShikabaneHime13

Edit: nevermind, just saw only certain pokemon gigamax. But I’m still loving the concept either way. Would have been nicer if it could happen with all pokkemon. Would take away some of the National Dex sting

Bea and Allister have my heart! Loving the gigamaxing as it’s essentially giant mega-evolution pokemon for ALL the pokemon. Kinda puts into some perspective why all the pokemon aren’t included now. I mean, we still don’t know the grand total of the Galar dex, but if each and every pokemon has an alternate form for Gigamaxing, then that’s a bit of work put in on top of general Dynamaxing.
Also loving that Bea and Allister are version exclusive gym leaders kinda like from Black and White. Only difference was it was the same gym type but different leaders

Re: Level-5 Announces Yo-Kai Watch 4 Western Release At The 2019 Anime Expo

ShikabaneHime13

I’ve been playing my import of the game since release and it effectively tackles a lot of the criticisms many players had regarding combat from the 3DS titles (i had loved that combat even though it was a nightmare for an unprotected touchscreen). I can say the changes to combat, updated graphics and engaging story and smorgasbord of side quests were made for the better and easily takes place as my favorite of all four main games. My kids are all having a ball with it, too, and were thrilled to hear it’ll be released here as well. Just wish we had even a vague timeframe and confirmation on if we’d get Shadowside (movie and/or anime) and Forever Friends so that anyone who purchases the new game would have proper back story on the newer characters since the game spans four different worlds

Re: Japanese Charts: Yo-Kai Watch 4 Takes Number One Despite Lower-Than-Usual Series Sales

ShikabaneHime13

YW4 has been great since importing it last week. My kids and I are enjoying it immensely and it’s still littered with that remarkable Level-5 charm as the first 3 (7) titles were.
The battle system is so much better compared to the first, a boon for any of the naysayers of the 3DS titles whom griped about the mechanics. News is that Level-5 will be hosting a panel at Anime Expo next month, so here’s hoping we get localization news

Re: Pokémon Was The Second Most Pre-Ordered Title At GameStop During E3

ShikabaneHime13

@ShadJV: Well, at the end of the day everyone does have their right to their feelings. I just hope that in time some of the ones spewing the hottest fire will at least wait to hear out any and all pertinent information before wanting to but GF to the ground... Like I said, I get it... GF is not a perfect company and they still have a ways to catch up to the modern standards of game development. I mean, just look at the newest Yo-kai Watch on Switch (which I’m playing at this very moment). It looks gorgeous and has so much going for it that GF should be taking notes on graphics and gameplay-wise. And I’ve held these sentiments since the very first YW game as Level 5 has taken great care to put detail and effort into their titles. But I still will love and play both

@MrBlacky: Meh shrugs Let the chips fall where they may.... At the end of the day, my entire household will be playing Pokemon at launch (while mom has a full weekend away from the kids and attends the inevitable launch party at Nintendo NYC)

Re: Pokémon Was The Second Most Pre-Ordered Title At GameStop During E3

ShikabaneHime13

@MrBlacky It’s odd and yet one of the reasons I think so many are blowing the Pokedex issue out of the water. We don’t know how many pokemon are in the games (Masuda himself said the Pokedex for the region would not be an easy feat to fill) and what pokemon are in and what are out. I have a full living dex and have transferred from game to game but I’m not going to let what I consider somewhat trivial in the grand scheme of it all stop me from playing the upcoming games. My kids didn’t even give a crap when I told them they might not be able to have all their favorites in the next games. They just shrugged and said they cared about the new pokemon and region and new features more than anything else. I mean, I get the upset to some degree, but it’s totally not the end all be all...

I suppose my kids and I are just excited and going to go all in with open minds. And of course as a gaming enthusiast, I will keep tabs on any and all information that comes out for the games. We don’t know everything these games will entail and we’re less than five months away from release. There’s still much to learn before everyone truly raises their pitchforks

Re: The Nintendo Direct Presentation For E3 2019 Will Be About 40 Minutes

ShikabaneHime13

So here’s hoping Rune Factory 4 news/release info is mentioned in the direct since Japan gets it next month. I’d say though that leaves news on 5 until later in the year or at the new year’s first direct... Anywho, I want RF4, more Pokémon info, Oninaki, maybe ports of the Bravely series or a new entry for Switch, Yo-kai Watch 4 localization news and perhaps a new Zelda title (not just Link’s Awakening) and Animal Crossing of course

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Introduces Open World Area, Multiplayer Raids And Dynamax Battles

ShikabaneHime13

So happy to see the Wild Area with Pokémon in the overworld. And I liked the hints in the trailer showing different ways to get them which included whistling to draw attention to a Stufful in the grass, shaking a tree for berries (I imagine an agitated Pokemon will lunge out at you), seeing a more up-close animation for fishing, traditional random encounters....

And omg, bikes are back! Thank the gods! Both land and water, so I can’t wait
