Re: Pokémon Loser Ash Ketchum's Lifelong Dream Has Finally Come True

Shadowmoon522

if the orange islands are not a region, then alola's not a region.
hell, the orange islands are actually about the same size if not bigger then alola and share similarities with it such as 4 Gym Leaders/Kahunas that focus on mini-game challenges rather then gym battles and regional variants.

also, shamouti island clearly has some connection with the tapus

you can't really discard this movies as non-canon because 1: it shows the first time tracy met prof oak & delia 2: the part with delia asking ash to come home every once in awhile is the reason why ash always returns to pallet in-between regions 3: ash and misty both directly mentioned the events of this movie when they met silver the baby lugia in the whirl islands

Re: Nintendo Wins Another War Against Piracy As Court Ruling Sees Offending Sites Blocked

Shadowmoon522

@RupeeClock and even if legal matters are take it's not going to stop people from making clone sites or having someone else revive it. pirate bay's original owners for example, already got hit with all the legal stuff and the site is still kicking, albeit under different ownership and has even evolved into a religion. there's no getting rid of it at this point.
tbh it's hilarious that the site has pissed off large companies, various governments and even a bunch of Christians(though that's not really that hard, a lot of Christianity has a history of being volatile towards other religions) and is still going strong.
the only way to stop piracy at this point would either be to arrest or kill everyone who has ever used a pirate site or to just outright purge all the anti-piracy laws. the later would be only one that could reasonably work as piracy is only considered as such due to the laws, otherwise its something that's never going away.
anti-piracy laws due as much to stop it as the 18th Amendment did to stop alcohol

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Might Have An Autosave Function, A Series First

@Supadav03 until you do step back and realize just how bad this actually is. the franchise has been slowly going down the trash shoot for years with all the good features being removed
Untitled
now they've taking away the main selling point which sure as hell wasn't graphics and then there's the horrible micro-transaction hellhole it's now going down.
@ShikabaneHime13

Then they proceed to do the exact opposite of that.
i swear, the only bit of good pokemon media left these days is the adventures/special manga. guzma got more character development in a couple of pages then he did in SMUSUM

Re: Poll: Have You Ever Had Problems With Nintendo Hardware?

Shadowmoon522

Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Nintendo 64
the only issues i've had with these 3 are the occasionally having to unleash the winds of my lungs upon the dust.
GameCube
for the longest time i was stuck with a contoller inwhich the top of one of the joy-sticks fell off so it was cutting into my thumb for a few years til i got more controllers
Wii
last year had an issue with the neither the power button light nor the system turning on, had to replace the cord.
Wii U
never had one.
Switch
Joy-Con drift, still bugs me on occasion but it always goes away for a while after i lift the rubber and blow into it.
Game Boy (incl. Pocket) / Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance (incl. SP and Micro)
no issue with any of the ones i had, though still had more then a few broken in midst of a fight.
Nintendo DS (incl. Lite) hinges broke on 3 of them, my ex broke gave one of them the final blow by sitting on it, the second i tried replacing the shell for only to get it bricked due to that ribbon wire being tricky(DS's have the worst ribbon wires out of anything i've taken appart & put back together) & the one i have currently has a brocken hinge but still works
Nintendo DSi (incl. XL) only had one, got stolen by a druggie who is now dead.
Nintendo 3DS (incl. XL) / 2DS
my first 3ds got its first issues while i was shiny hunting a thundurus in AS & watching Drifters. thing shut off on me, a couple days later it started working again only form that point on i could only shut it slowly otherwise it'd power off on me & i couldn't put the screen the full way back. i was able to make due with it like that long enough for me to get a second 3ds and transfer the data over. i still kept using the old one after i got the new one and was using it only for shiny hunting on X til the bottom screen stopped working and now i can only use it to shiny hunt on US
New Nintendo 3DS / 2DS (incl. XL variants)
have yet to have any issues with the one.
one of the issues i've had with all nintendo handhelds since the original ds is that the flip screen is always a bit to loose, so when i'm playing a game that requires a good bit of movement like a fighting game or something it irks me how the top screen wiggles around

Re: Random: Whatever You Do, Don't Be This Foolish Pokémon GO Player

Shadowmoon522

@mjharper not in a fast moving vehicle. it's it a bit more excusable if it's on a bike or a golf cart in the middle of near empty golf field, but as far as something like a car or truck is concerned it fall under the same category as texting and driving. its actually worse than that due to the fact that video games draw more attention texting dose. it's all fun and games until the windshield is coated with blood & guts of something that's not an insect, bird or bat.

Re: Nintendo, Sony And Microsoft Will Disclose Loot Box Odds

Shadowmoon522

@BlueOcean i wouldn't say they need to be banned, but rather they shouldn't cost real money or they should work like the "open treasure chest quest" in AQW; you buy one key & open a chest you're guaranteed 1 non-perishable item & after you get that item its no longer an item you can get making it so that when you get another one you're guaranteed to get something different and eventually you'll be able to get the item you want making it still a bit up to chance but not some pure luck

Re: Feature: Pokémon's Dark History In 11 Shocking Moments

Shadowmoon522

i wouldn't be surprised if the satanism bit started off from someone mixing up digimon & pokemon and since pokemon was the bigger name & target it ended up shielding digimon from that christian cultist nonsense and has somewhat ironically let digimon go full eldritch levels over the years.

Re: US Law Firm Opens "Switch Joy-Con Drift" Class Action Investigation

Shadowmoon522

@PerishSong especially considering this is a site for people who use nintendo stuff.
i even have a drifting issue, used to be temporarily solved just by putting the joy con into the switch and taking them back out or giving them a small tap on a hard surface, but now i have to to my small sheetz card lift the rubber and blow into it like i used to have to do with pre-game cube nintendo systems & game boys

Re: Video: Latest Japanese Sword And Shield Commercial Shows New Pokémon In Action

Shadowmoon522

@DenDen less and less actually, a fusion of 2 digimon games that are a 2-4 years old are already looking a hell of a lot better then sword & shield after all.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOpjwvu05xE
also unlike game freak, the people who are working on digimon survive actually care enough about the game to delay it. the only reason why sword & shield is going to sell anything is because of the cult-like obsession of various pokemon fans

Alcremie looks Delicious

i like yamper less and less, but i never really liked small dogs to begin with, though its ability looks useful.
Rolycoly looks like the love child of roggenrola & one of the wheelies from kirby series, while Duraludon looks like the love child of an avalugg & a lighter. most horrible looking dragon type yet.
Allister reminds me of that thing possessing kilula's little sister in hunter x hunter, Nanika
