@MegaVel91 thats not what he meant by filler, most of the episodes in the anime are just team rockets half assed scheme of the week, helping some character(s) who will never be seen again &/or just being the same episode as another one that's slightly different.
also, ash's objective has never been the pure focus. misty wanting to become the best water pokemon trainer, brock wanting to be a breeder as well as to breed with attractive females, ect. everyone of the companions have been a main plot focus beyond ash's ambiguous goal which will never get explained so long as the anime is stuck with the writers & directors it currently has.

i think sword of mana is the only part of the mana series i've even played thus far, i'd be tempted to get this if not for the bills eating away at my money... R.I.P the 115$ i had put aside

@BulbasaurusRex yeah, in rumble world it doesn't kill anything so it was viable unless the mon you were facing had a self damaging move or was a shedinja.
that's another thing, they took away shedinja's wonder guard while still leaving it with 1hp in rumble rush and didn't even give enough offence force to be a glass cannon.

i only played this for a few months, but it's pretty obvious that the main issues are the ore system which barred progression behind having to wait for days to get enough gear upgrade material to be able to get past whatever boss you were stuck at, not being able to use endeavor to make mons wobble without killing them, maps getting removed & replaced, the lack of an offline mode & the lack of a switch version.
game play is also worse with a touch screen than it was with a 3ds.

@StevenG because of this issue where random web pages redirect to https://noaccess.verizon.com/bwg/ thing that i can't deal with as i'm not the one with the account info & the one who has the info is a stubborn idiot. so while i can use this internet on my pc, i can't really do so with my switch at the moment.
now that i think about it i might be able to set up a wifi hotspot with this laptop to by-pass this issue... but it's past 4 am & i need sleep...
Edit: got the issue resolved by finally getting the account info & talking to a stir crazy verizon employee.
also my joy con drift issue seems to be gone with the update, but i haven't had enough time to get around to playing enough to be sure

loot boxes and such give you a chance at acquiring non-physical property & require a bit on an uncertain outcome. gambling, even in video games, isn't really that big of an issue unless actual money is involved. by this i mean, look at the game corner in old pokemon games. there was no actual money involved with it but it was still gambling. on the other the other hand there are gacha games which, while they can be played f2p, they always have micro transactions & tend to make things harder on f2p player temp more people spending more money on it for a low chance of acquiring what they need to have an easier time of it with an ever escalating power creep so no one can get comfortable with what they got for to long. it's a nasty system, but one to be expected from mobiles & mmos as they required money from micro transactions to stay afloat.

@Marios-love-child mine's currently behind the tv as well, it's kinda stuck there til the crapetting gets put into this place as i can't start pulling everything out of the garage & unpacking til it's done.
as such, i'm stuck with a temporary set up that i cobbled together with a nightstand, a table that the top board flips over with, top part from an eating tray thing that broke years ago that i keep using to close hole in that table, some stand that was left by the previous tenants, a suitcase, a broken 360, a board, a cd case & an empty milk gallon.
i really want the landlord to hurry the hell up with getting these damn rugs in...

@Baker1000 mine comes and goes. usually one dose it on menu screens and goes away after i either tap my controllers together or lift up the rubber & blow under it.

@Valdney BoTW is definitely one of the games that brought people in, but it's not the only one. other games like octopath traveler & popular game franchises like pokemon also brought people in as well as the indie games & remakes.
the only real issue the switch has is the lofty costs of accessories & the joy con drift.

@mesome713 this as well as the cancelling of the international championships, could be more about profit then your realizing. needlessly exposing your customers & employees to danger is more or less asking for for your profits to drop. doing this on the other hand is good PR and helps keep your paying customers playing more in the long run and remaining loyal as well as saves the potential hassle of having the work hindered due to lack of staff. can't get much done if most of your workforce is sick. now if only they could just go and stop sakurai from his overworking tendencies...

@Elvie it was the gameplay that really broke them.
in 06 it was more the fault of it being a buggy rushed mess & in shadow the hedgehog's case it was the poorly designed gameplay & the controls being a good bit glitchy. you could occasionally commit suicide by using the homing attack. the way the story choices where put into the game-play with all of them being ultimately meanness didn't help either.
also, being too serious has never really broken sonic stuff. hell, just look at how the idw comic currently is and is actually better for it.

@e-love same thing happened with generations & those mega evolution specials. the anime always tends to do better when ash, pikachu & the team rocket tetrad are not involved and when it actually uses the source material seriously rather then going off kilter like they tend to do. even most of the people working on the anime have occasionally offhandedly mentioned that they where just messing around.
it also doesn't help that most of the anime's episodes are tend to look like re-skinned versions of preexisting episodes to the point that it got repetitive.

@JesWood13 thats not new to home, it's been a problem with the GTS since they banned mythical, event & purified shadow pokemon trading in gen 6 as a measly attempt to stop hacked mons from circulating. not only did it not even remotly work, it also made it easier for trolls to infest it. you would think after 7 years of this they'd have the sense to remove mythical pokemon names from the selection list...

i'm also still irked that the rainbow rocket grunts where so inept in contrast to the regular rocket grunts. the og grunts where at least competent enough to rebuild & run the organization within a couple years without their leader.
i'm also still irked by the fact that you didn't have to battle your way though a room full of grunts. it was disappointing to me that they messes up and got scattered around rather then it being a round-robin tournament-esce fight with the lot of em.

@xHHHx hell, it's not even just that. they decided to make a remake of the 3ed game in the series after the first rather then the second game, Partners in Time. when making remakes it's best to stick the proper order and prioritize the older game first. in this case they skipped over a game.
gamefreak also made a similar mistake before this by releasing a second set of gen 1 remakes rather then making the gen 4 remakes people are still clamoring for. that also brought forth the usual griping about gen 1 favoritism but pikachu/meowth/charmander/mew lines are like the agumon/gabumon/angemon/devimon/calumon lines in digimon, jack frosts/pixies/angels/succubi in smt & persona, ect; theres the main mascott or a counterpart to it(pikachu, agumon, jack frost) with sub mascotts or counterparts to them withing each game or series.
of course, i'm just rambling on at this point...
