Re: The First Pokémon Sun and Moon 'Global Mission' Was a Bit of a Flop

SebTheGuy

I hate pokemon sun and moon's new mode of presenting their online features with a passion. First, no one gives a biscuit about the carnival, and it's just and extra step you have to climb every time you want to check the GTS or any of the other online features.
Secondly, why'd they change the system in the first place? In XY, they had a great idea going where you could still play the game flawlessly while still connected to the internet and people could casually ask you to trade or battle if you happened not to be doing anything. Now, if you want to have a link trade, people have to catch you in that slim moment in you're in the carnival to catch your attention.
Third, and this is a minor one, there are so many notifications you need to check before the game connects you to, say the GTS. The loading takes a long time to connect in the first place. I don;t want to have to mash just so I can get through the text. I want to not think about just connecting through the internet. DO THAT FOR ME, GAME!

Re: Pokémon GO Global Rollout Delayed While Niantic Fixes Server Woes

SebTheGuy

The game certainly is popular, much more than I expected anyway. The other day I was trying out the game with a friend in town near a collection of pokestops, when a nearby cop car said over their radio, "Hey are you guys playing pokemon go?". He drove up to us and was wondering why so many guys were walking through this path. I assume he probably goes on reddit, so he had some idea as to what all the traffic was about. Anyway, we made another friend, along with the many others we met on our walks. Good day.

Okay, after some fast math, based on the average exchange rate of what nintendo gives discount for game prices on their site, $1 equals roughly 91.6(repeating) platinum points and 1 platinum point equals roughly $.010909. This means if you wanted to pay, for example, NES Remix, which costs $20, purely using platinum points, it would cost about 1832 platinum points. I'm not sure if the link above me works, but if it does, you can check my work.

Re: New My Nintendo Rewards Are Now Available in North America

SebTheGuy

Stop giving us goddamn discounts! If anyone is actually a member of My Nintendo, it's because they are a loyal fan who is likely to already have many of these games anyway. Fans want exclusives, even if they aren't physical! Stop giving us the opportunity to cash in coins we earned that we still need to use real money to obtain!

Re: Mother 3 Heading to the Wii U eShop in Japan on 17th December

SebTheGuy

@sillygostly earthbound beginnings is almost nearly the exact same translation as the hacked translated ROM of Japan's Mother, so it wouldn't come off as a big surprise if they did use Tomato's translation. I'm sure more people would be thrilled to have the game than actually care how lazy they might have been to just do it themselves as it is obvious the Mother 3 being translated is somewhat a joke to them, regarding 2014's Nintendo Direct joke.

Re: Hands On: Blast Ball Brings Crude Button Mashing and is a Poor Advert for Metroid Prime: Federation Force

SebTheGuy

@Jazzer94 I was able to get metroid other m for a really good deal, about $7 on amazon. I played the game...and it was just so, ugh, dull and boring. Those parts where you were forced to stop and look around so you can lock on a certain icon. Those parts were horrible. I was playing with my older brother watching and neither of us could figure out what to do. It was maybe, 10 minutes into the game and I already had to look online to see what to do.

Re: Poll: We Need to Talk About amiibo - Where Do You Stand?

SebTheGuy

I really like amiibo, but the shortages are just really killing the magic for me. It feels like a stock market situation where I have to estimate which ones will be rare and which ones will be common. Take the silver mario amiibo restocked last wave for example. I'm pretty sure everyone was surprised that he was in stock more than Lucina. So, out of fear that I wouldn't get him in the future, I bought him. After snooping around the internet I found that others had the same situation where he was in stock, no where near as many others, like Lucina in Jigglypuff. It's just so, gah, so frustrating. Especially for young fans like me who don't have a steady money income to buy from scalpers.

Re: Super Metroid Was Planned As An Extra In Metroid Prime Before Nintendo Had It Removed

SebTheGuy

@JaxonH, yeah it does. Lots of the games are pretty simple ones like excitebike, balloon fight, or clu clu land, but sadly, I don't think nintendo will be in a rush to push this game out on the wii u virtual console if they will want people to people to buy those nes games by themselves. It even has the legend of zelda but that can only be unlocked with a cheat device. Even so, it's still there in its files.

Re: Talking Point: Mario Kart 8 DLC is a Winning Formula for Nintendo, But It Can Go Further

SebTheGuy

Yes, a real battle mode would be an excellent addition to the game. I loved collecting the coins on that one rooftop flood course in mario kart wii and I loved the crazy jumps and tricks to do in Funky Stadium. If Nintendo does actually make a real battle mode, I think they need to make it a free update. It feels like they owe us one no matter how could the race tracks were.

Re: Card Format amiibo Confirmed to be Heading our Way This Year

SebTheGuy

The cards are a cool idea, but unless they're just a piece of paper with a chip inside, I don't think I will buy them. Maybe they could persuade me by putting them in bundles for a good value or maybe if you didn't like them, you could trade some in for an amiibo figure. Having the in game content from the amiibo is cool but I mostly like to get amiibo so I can display my favorite nintendo mascots
