BEEG BLOO! f-zero wii u confirmed
Now this is the sort of DLC that I can support. More original content like this please Nintendo, with new levels and lots of new characters. Less of the micro-payments, pricey single-character DLCs (MewTwo), expensive outfits and amiibo-unlocks. Can't wait until the 23rd now
God dammit I love Nintendo! Lol. Theses are you next week right?
Baby Park isn't chaotic though ... it's just an oval with sidebars in the middle so that those pesky items can't go everywhere ....
This trak wasn't really good to begin with ... way to simple .... the only thing that saved this track were the special items in double dash, which made nearly every track really hectic .... MK8 dosn't have this (and I'm really thankfull for the actual balancing of the items, although it's really hard to get good items in 2nd place) .... So Baby Park in MK8 is just ... a bland oval without anything to thand out ....
@Josaku In Double Dash and DS there were no sidebars in the middle, part of the chaos in Double Dash was due to bowser shells being able to essentially go anywhere.
Big blue - saxophone over rock guitar and synthesisers? No nintendo.... Just no
The Animal Crossing track looks near perfect. The only change I would make is to make the item boxes look like the present boxes from AC.
Why does MK8 get all this but MK7 is left to rot? I would've killed for this kind of support when it came out, especially since the patch implementation meant it was possible for it
@Grumblevolcano
I know, that's what I essentially said .... this track was not good to begin with, but they totolly ruined it by adding these sidebars to block shells from the other side .....
@Josaku Sorry, I interpreted your comment as suggesting the sidebars were always present.
Do you have to put this on the top of the page? I'm trying really hard not to look at this stuff so I can experience it all for myself when the update arrives! ;-;
@Grumblevolcano
sorry, I may have worded this a bit strange ...
English isn't my first language ^^"
Yeah, it's official: best Mario Kart ever.
@Josaku & @Grumblevolcano
It was more then just no side bars. Grumble was on track with the bowser shells. They were Huge. So was the DK Banana. Also there were double item boxes with 16 characters on the track (2 per kart). Toss, Switch, Toss, Repeat. They track was littered in these things.
Just excellent. This made my day! All tracks look fun, even though Koopa City is not one of my favorites. We'll see how it ends up in MK8. The music is spot on as always and makes me wanna start up the game right now. These tracks and the 200cc inclusion: still the best wiiU game.
Ribbon Road completely wowed me! MK8 still claims best graphics on Wii U in my book!
@Rob_mc_1
That's too something I'm concerned about this track .... as I said earlyer, the special items were the opnly thing saving this track and MK8 dosn't have those ...
I really can't immagine, that this track will be fun for more than 3 laps .... especially in 200cc
I'd rather have had another Zelda course instead of Wild Woods. Could have been Kokiri Forest or Lost Woods if they wanted to go with that theme.
@Yosher I must not watch the videos...
@Josaku think how crazy this level will be with 12 people its in constant zero gravity so bouncing off of every one is going to be insane, plus dodging shells banana skins and everything else will be just as mental. This is a classic track, I hope it has enough laps though that will be the deal breaker for me and I also wish mario kart gave you the option to set the amount of laps
All these F-Zero tease in MK8 better hype up for a real F-Zero.
@PinkSpider
I really don't think so, because the spinturbo mechanic dosn't change your angle and you don't even loose controll while spinning ... the only thing it dose is give you a slight boost and change you position relative to the sidelines.
And I too think, that bananas won't be a problem in any way, because there will be too many shells for them to be a real hinderence ...
Shells on the other hand could be dangerouse ... If there wasn't the "3 shell" or "3 banana" item .....
And if it's impossible to throw bombs ofer the middle line they too are not that much of a problem, because you can't surprise others with them by using the middle-line and you can't really throw them because the track is so short .... but they will walk after they are placed which will make them kind of dangerouse to be honest ...
I really don't see, why this is a fan favorite even without the special items from double dash ....
@Josaku Baby Park is supposed to be a special 7-laps track, meaning that the leaders will start to attack from behind at some point. And I can see that Baby Park becomes extremely challenging on 200cc.
I tried resisting the trailer, but caved pretty quickly. I cannot wait to play these tracks.
@jariw
I know that Baby Park had 7 laps in DD, but I don't think that it makes that much of a difference ...
it will be pretty chaotic, but I think, that only shells and mayby bombs will be dangerous because everything else can be destroyed by the shells and they will be the most used item on this track ...
so it comes down to who has the most shells or the most items that can destroy shells .... so the first won't be any danger at all compared to the last .... yes, better balancing than most other tracks, but at the expense of an interesting trackdesing ... I really don't think, that this is woth it
And all for a few quid!! AMAZING!!!
Nintendo has this SO right!! Can't wait!!
Great stuff, tracks look great and big blue is a surprise. The music is simply sublime aswell, I'm loving the use of brass in the latest Nintendo games. and the baby park thing.....it will be different to play to how you can predict through video, try it before you say it doesn't work maybe ?
This looks amazing. I wasn't really expecting Ribbon Road and Cheese Land being re-done, but I'm glad they did. It's always nice to see the flat tracks from the SNES and GBA entries being completely re-done in stunning HD and being brought to life.
Should there be DLC items then? They would have to be free of course.
I love how all I have to do is wait since I purchased them as a bundle last year. I am pleased with the track selection, especially Big Blue!
I started freaking out once I saw this on youtube last night just by searching the internet.
This DLC is amazing!!!
Oh my gosh! This looks freaking amazing!
Woah, now I'm incredibly excited for this!
I was personally hoping for Ribbon Road. No, seriously. And of course I love Baby Park.
Even more F-Zero? I'm so excited for this! I love Nintendo!
I want to pre-order add-on packs 3 through 16 right now!
Allow me to give you my money, Nintendo!
Looks like a great DLC pack to me, I think even Baby Park (which everyone seems to hate) usually made for some great carnage and lapping cars! The GBA tracks look ace too...and that "Streetle" haha, amazing!
The attention to detail in Nintendo games is wonderful.
BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG BLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUE!!!
pant...pant
I started hyperventilating when I saw that...man, I can't wait to play it in 200cc!!!
@mid_55 It seems like everyone I see LOVES Baby Park...I haven't heard anyone say they hate it.
I could jam to this music all day.
To answer the question, 11. Let's go!!!
These tracks look great, better than the ones in the first pack, though those were still good.
200cc is gunna be crazy
More F-Zero? YES!!
@LunaticPandora I wish they would support it MK7 more. Maybe not enough people are playing it anymore.
On another note, I guess it makes sense for the irritating baby characters to get an irritating baby track.
And I'm left here with MK7... Why didn't MK7 get at least one DLC thing?
Big Blue at 200cc with the sound bar turned way up? My face is at risk from being blasted off by the amazingness of this!
A reminder of the release date would be nice NL. I just hope it's not the long weekend in May as I'll be on holiday.
MK8: Complete should be Nintendos first foray into the repackaged market for the holidays. Not everybody is going to DL these, and w/ the Zelda delay they could use another game on market. Besides the new tracks they could also put "amiibo compatible" on the box. I think this game has added enough to justify a new release.
Maybe the Baby Track will be the first track to excel in battle mode.
Baby Park "Remake". It seems identical.
I kinda think Mario Kart 8 is now the greatest thing in video game history ever. The DLC, 200CC, more amiibo costumes. So much love.
It's like Nintendo had been reading what we wanted for this DLC.
Cheese Land and Ribbon Road were demanded so much by a lot of people, or maybe just GBA tracks in general and we get 2 in this DLC bringing the count to 3. Ribbon Road will be ideal for anti grav aswell.
Baby Park being confirmed goes down well with me, favourite track by far from DD and the fact that it is 7 laps is crucial, laps are going to be only around 15-20 seconds long.
No opinion on the 3DS Koopa City track, I haven't played MK7 enough to know this one but it looked good from what I remembered and it's quite challenging as there are no sides on the track in the tricky areas.
Bell Subway must have been the so called "Metro" track from that DLC code which produced Baby Park and Koopa City rumours. It's nice to have another track which you have to avoid hazards.
Wild Woods is welcome, just glad this track didn't turn out to be Wii Maple Treeway, not a fan of that track.
And that F Zero track, wow that track is going to be fun, guess it's there to help launch the 200cc mode.
@DESS-M-8
Yep - noticed that too. Not a good choice.
Biiiig bllluuuuuueee!! Oh yess!! This is awesome stuff indeed. Ribbon rd and cheese land were some of my best gba ttacks too along with that wild west/sunset/cowboy shyguys track. While this dlc is fantastic, it also makes me want f zero gx on wii u vc that little bit more which at this point I doubt is happening at all unfortunately. .
And the leak was correct (thankfully)! I can't wait to race on all of these amazing courses! I'm glad Nintendo finally realized how creative Super Circuit's track ideas were.
Welp I will be very busy racing for the foreseeable future. Loving the live music as usual. I'm going to need Nintendo to release this on a soundtrack soon....
This looks great, can't wait. Just one more expansion to make this perfect - Battle Expansion with proper arenas!
10!
I wouldn't be surprised if we see another pack at E3. We do need filler content after all, since Zelda has been pushed back to 2016.
They may as well have had an F-zero cup
Yay, Ribben Road and Cheese Land both made it!! Never actually thought they would! All of these tracks look great, New and old. This is the way DLC should always be.
Ribbon Road is soo cute! You can spot a plush Yoshi Amiibo in the background of it
Okay so they kept the 7 laps for Baby Park!
Now we all can agree that this is the best Mario Kart game ever
@rjejr Yup, that's a great idea
Yesss, I'm so excited for the GBA tracks!
@retro_player_22 I'd love that but tbh I'd be happy if they remade AX/GX in HD with online support. That game was just so good
The quality of Mario Kart 8 and it's DLC continue to surprise and amaze! 0__0
The Big Blue music is especially astounding! The others are catchy as heck too.
I'm so ready!
8 tracks? I thought only 4 additional tracks when I purchased the dlc. 200cc is refreshing the game.
