I'm probably gonna play mostly Mario Maker 2 and Tetris 99. I've gotten into Rocksmith 2014 Edition so I'll probably play that quite a bit.

It was incredibly cheesy, but that's why I loved it. It reminds me of the older Nintendo Directs when they would do stuff like this. I don't think he has the same charisma as Reggie did, but then again, who does?

I think this is great. It allows a game to be enjoyed by more people, and that's never a bad thing. However, I would imagine it would stay a console exclusive, although I could be wrong about that.

I recommend this, but I think it's better with a keyboard. It doesn't feel as natural with a controller.

This isn't gonna happen. It would be bad for everyone involved. Not only would even less people buy the xbox then there are already, but people wouldn't buy games from the eshop if they're on game pass, leading to less sales for Nintendo. And even if Nintendo got a cut from people who used game pass on Switch, that would mean less money for Microsoft. There's just no way I see this happening.

We're probably lucky if Doug Bowser has even half the charisma of Reggie.

A remake of a 20 year old game boy game should not be released for the same price as a brand new game. $40 would be a fair price, but I have a bad feeling they're going to charge $60.

I'm disappointed, but it's better for them to work longer to make it great than for them to rush it to meet the release date.

I've seen a lot of people disappointed with this direct, and I think it's a perfect example of one man's trash is another man's treasure. Super Mario Maker 2, Link's Awakening, Rune Factory 5, Box Boy + Box Girl, Unravel 2, Tetris 99 — all things that I thought were great.

Rune Factory 4 was my favorite game on 3DS for a while, but I played it so much that I don't think I'll be getting it on Switch, especially since it still looks like a 3DS game. I'm super hyped for Rune Factory 5 though.

I might pick this one up. I was tempted when it first came out but held off in hopes of a Switch release.

@NintyNate 8-9 big hitters is a lot to ask of a single company. Chances are we'll be seeing 4-6 Nintendo developed games this year, with 2-3 of those being the big hitters, as well as maybe 3-5 big hitters from other company's (Doom Eternal, Overwatch, etc.)

Does everyone here realize that Donkey Kong Country: Tropical freeze took up 6.6 GB on Switch, while the Wii U version took up 11.4 GB? They're both the same game, and the Switch version even has some extra content.It just means they're better at compressing software and getting a games file size as small as they can.

I feel like I'm the only one here who thinks these are good picks and hasn't played either of them. While yes, Zelda II is probably the worst in the series, that doesn't mean its bad, so I'll go into it with an open mind, and I tried a demo for Blaster Master Zero and liked what I played, so I think it'll be fun trying out the original.

Super Meat boy I somewhat understood. I thought it was dumb, but I understood it. This makes no sense to me whatsoever.

I find it funny that just a couple hours ago, there was an article saying Nintendo needed to make some changes in order to sell more Switches.

I really enjoyed World of Goo, and I've recently started learning programming, so this game is probably right up my alley.

I don't get why Nintendo would shut it down, but then again, we're talking about Nintendo here.

I thought the scene where toad stabbed someone 11 times in the chest in an incredibly violent and gory fashion was really weird, but other than that the game shouldn't be at +18.
