Portal 2 is my favorite game of all time. I didn't even know this was out already, but I will definitely buy it. I'm always eager to get my hands on any Portal content whatsoever.
I think people would be very happy if Nintendo keeps doing what they did this year. Big presentations in winter and summer (Summer would be E3 of course) and then smaller ones in spring and fall.
Despite what I thought, I still hadn't played XCX until I started playing it yesterday, so I'll see what I think of that before I make a consensus on the series as a whole. But this looks like a ton of fun for people who have played previous games in the series.
@Sir_Anthony It can be a strategy games where you have to be a tyrannical ruler of the mushroom kingdom, but make sure all the toads and such don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
Nintendo just needs to let this be. These Youtuber's aren't "Stealing your content." If anything, it's free advertising. If people see their favorite Youtuber playing a Nintendo game, they won't think Wow, that guy is stealing Nintendo's stuff! they'll think Wow, that game looks really fun! Maybe I should try it out!
Keep in mind they're judging this game based on its own merits, not the fact that it's a retread of last year. Similar to what they did with Mario Kart 8 DX.
@electrolite77 That's because you can sell microtransactions and loot boxes as a cheap way to make money off of multi-player games. EDIT: I just read the article, and this person seriously thinks that what gamers want is higher resolution graphics. Now, while that may be true for some gamers, most gamers just want fun games. Why does she think the retro indie market is so popular? Not because their games are super-realistic 4K, that's for sure.
Also, it's amazing that they've sold 2 Mil in just 3-4 days. I'm sure this is selling systems.
@H1B1Esquire "So, I'm going through a Walmart, I'm going through a Target, and this guy pulls me aside and says, 'hey, aren't you that Reggie from Nintendo guy?' And I go 'No! I'm Barack Obama!'" Audience laughs and applauds
In my opinion, there are 2 types of reviewers that are simply the worst: 1. People who let other peoples opinions affect their own, as was said in the video 2. People who actively insult the player for liking a game. Like, all these people calling everyone who likes this game "Brainwashed Zombies" makes no sense. If someone wants to enjoy something, they can. It would be like if I went onto metacritic, went to Overwatch, and gave it a zero saying that "anyone who plays this game is probably a fat 40 year old who lives in his parents basement." Reviewers should focus on the game itself, and not on the people who play it.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE 1-2-Switch making a return is probably a product of people buying the Switch for Mario, and then deciding to get 1-2-Switch to have another game.
Makes sense that a multi-console game would beat out a single-console game, especially considering the Switch has sold 7 M units, which is a fraction of what the PS4 has sold. I also feel like maybe Wolfenstein didn't do too well because Switch players are waiting until it launches on their console of preference.
I told you the Switch was doomed. There's such a sparse line-up of games that I don't even know why anyone would buy such a system. Just buy an $800 gaming PC, it's actually worth your time and money. Not like the stupid Nintendo swaperoo or whatever the heck it's called.
Wasn't actually expecting much of this game, but am now considering picking it up. I come from a very big family, so we're always looking for fun multiplayer games. Maybe we should give this a shot.
Ah, the days when we all couldn't stop talking about how cool the concept was and what that "New 3D Mario game" was. I still think it's a cool console, with way too many great games. From indie to first-party to third-party, I don't think anyone expected all these games.
Man, I haven't played this in a while. TBH, I'm kind of burnt out on it. I've been playing it pretty much non-stop since our family got the Switch back in late July. Now I'm trying out the new ARMS update, playing my PS4, and finishing up Golf Story.

Team Spring man because I'm actually half-decent as him.
Re: Review: VVVVVV (Switch eShop)
@GC-161 to be fair it is a dumb title for a supposedly great game (I say supposedly because I haven't played it)
Also, I don't understand why it's $10 on the Switch, but then $5 on 3DS and WiiU?
