Never been a fan of twin stick shooters but I'll grab if only to support developers who make free DLC. Never know, might end up with a Piczle Lines situation where it ends up my most played (by some margin) Switch game.
Checked out extras and Sonic Mega Play is seriously meh. Exactly the same except levels but some cut off. Can miss unless there's some serious leaderboard action. ThunderForce seems better option if you only own MD/Genesis version. Styx seems to remove a weapon making it harder. Major plus is CD rather than chip music. The graphics and game flow seem improved to my eyes. However none of the comments I've read mention this so could just be difference in captures. However the Styx gameplay seemed pretty darn awesome compared to my cartridge. (BTW tons of people say you can't play original MD games on anything other than CRT.I've got MD, Master System, Snes, PS2, and Gamecube all going through same multi scart block to HD TV and all play frankly much better than I remember.)
Guessing £6.29 then. Would have passed on Sonic but having an arcade version intrigues me. Will pick up ThunderForce even though have MegaDrive version, and a Saturn version is cool. Will have to youtube these extras.
Have tons of digital but was specifically waiting on physical fot this. But this is just pants. It's worse than the MegaMan debacle. Lost a sale here too.
The 40% drop in Toad will be because Wii U owners already have and that it's, whisper it, the better version of the game. And that's not Wii U fanboyism it's just a fact.Even most reviews state it plays better handheld, but more awesome and family friendly docked. And Wii U has that covered. It's why Mario Maker would likely be inferior. Do love the Switch though and every other port has been at least equal to and usually better than the Wii U. And I'm not gonna lay down 40 quid for, effectively, DLC. Not even upgraded to Mario Kart Deluxe. The one exception is Zelda Warriors which had a ton of effort put into it, especially if you only owned one previous version. The nadir of poor ports is Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Toad at least has mid level pricing.
Actually the local wireless is quite a biggie. Pity it's not a one cart share deal, which was possible on some 3DS, but still awesome if my mates get it (but 30 quid deffo my limit).
@KingdomHeartsFan, yes it is. Wings of Honneamise is my favourite anime, truly awesome. It also has the best soundtrack of any film (not just anime) by the guy that went on to win the Oscar for The Last Emperor.
Decent video capture @Shiryu makes me interested. (Hopefully all that menu faffing about was just showing off what's available and not because you're terrifically undecided). But won't pay more than 30 quid (Crash has madd everything else seem so very expensive).
Should be good. Got a couple Indonesian horror movies and they're somewhat different from the usual Japanese/ Korean fare. They seem to tie in much more with the horror of nature, which the visuals of Ghost Parade also seem to suggest.
The fact that it sold at the same price as the PS4/XB versions made this a day one no-brainer for me. Got in lunch break on Friday and everyone in the line was buying, to the point it was amusing. Adults were buying but also quite a few kids, who don't have the nostalgia factor. Spyro on Switch needs to happen now! It's initial sales on PS4/XB may look weak in comparison to the initial release of Crash, as more people, me included, hold off buying Spyro until it lands on Switch. And then it'll go through the roof.
After first couple levels realised 100%’in is pretty darned impossible, much harder than the MegaDrive Sonics. So now just blastin through, though extra levels may prove too tempting to ignore eventually.
This seems a tad expensive for such an old game, especially when the arguably better souped up Lumanies is released same week at half the price. Needs a deep (50%) discount before I'd even consider.
Never thought I'd see an advert like this. Cool how Nintendo advert and at the end Xbox is given the lhs of the screen and Nintendo the rhs (think movie posters as to why a big deal). Cos the 2 companies must be talking one does wonder if more could come of this in the Nindy-Ubisoft vein. Doubtful, but never expected a dual console advert in a million years.
Great. Wasn't a fan of the Rabbids but warmed to them after after this game came out. Even watched the Keaton-esque TV series - they knowingly steal and reference whole scenes of Buster's films. And Donkey Kong is increasingly looking to overtake MegaMan Zero as my favourite games character ( though that may change if a new Klonoa game was released). I even adore the Konga games.
Which suggests 3D Worlds is being ported to Switch. The thinking being they don't want levels that will be duplicated, even in reference, down the line.
Sony need to be careful this doesn't bite them in the backside when the PS5 rolls out. I mean who thought Microsoft would drop the ball so badly after the 360? ‘For the players' indeed.
I adore these games. Yes they are archaic, but that's kinda the point. An 80s style rpg with updated but still retro graphics? Sold - although seeing as I have most of the titles that's a given.
Wow some awesome discounts. Doing a check and The Coma, oh wait Golf Story, oh but wait SF Ultra. Ummm what to have. Wait there's decent discounts on Wii U !?! I've no money but finding some to graze up those Wii U stuff I haven't got yet.
They're being incredibly sensible. They're allowing streaming just not past a certain point. They're protecting the fans. We've all seen youtubes where the thumbnail itself spoils the movie for example. The only people who will be up in arms about this are the definition of spoil-sports.
Would never have been interested had it not been for the double whammy of cheap price and World Cup update. And I'm loving it. It's just so polished and playable. The only issue is the amount of menus for a newbie like me. But having too much to do is the kinda first world problem I can deal with.
Yea been playing couple hours no issues. Not really into footy games but so much fun. However, even though not really played a footy game since snes ISS winning every game so gotta move up from beginner. ( Though Beginner awesome for learning the mechanics, more like a training mode). I know people are saying it lacks some features from other consoles but a SERIOUS amount of content here so I'm well pleased.
Was outside Sainsburys/Argos at 8am to pick this up b4 work. Now the only issue is finding time to play this awesome game AND the stunning, way better than expected on Switch, FIFA World Cup update. And I'm off work next week! (But also got the WCR trilogy in the PSN sale and they're also great. ) Too much fun.
@Yasume. Love this series. Those who claim it's all boobs and panties simply haven't played the series. It's lighthearted rpg's that take a genial pisstake of other rpg's and console war tropes. Simple but fantastic playability. Adorable characters who are loveable more for their wit than their looks. And indeed the way they look is a self referential comment on the games industry in and of itself. Yes it means the game has it's cake and eats it too, but please, 80% of games would be lost if we damned buxom ladies in games (and 99.9 % if added macho testerone fuelled guys). And I'm not saying that's right. But don't single out this series. Or it's fans. We're having too much fun!
Trailers make it look interesting and the main character seems to have decent acting chops. For some reason makes me think of Gangster no. One, with a bit of John Wick. Defintely maybe...
At last Baseball! Wanted so badly. Have the NGPocket version. And SideKicks 2 is apparantly where it got real good. Looking to grab Stakes too. Hamster, my wallet hates you but I think you're smashing. Baseball! Baseball! Baseball! All the way!!!!

Too important a game to pass up. Unless it's unplayable. And I'm guessing it must be exclusive to Switch.

Another vote for Mario Baseball. Chuck in the GC version for the upcoming online and it makes the service a must have.
Re: Big The Cat, Chao And Amy Will All Be Playable In Team Sonic Racing
Loved Transformed. This is looking quite bland. However it's Sumo so it should be decent. Be a bit more excited if Cream the Rabbit were announced.
