After trimming down to an acceptable price ( there's so much more I want) I'll get Kamiko, WonderBoy, Floor Kids, Blaster Master, Bleed. I also want Sol Divide, Danmaku, and Aero Fighters 2 and 3. That takes care of my 70 quid limit, and I should have enough to get Master Blaster DLC with remainder of cash and gold coins.
Can't believe how much hate the wiiu is getting. BOTW, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Captain Toad, Donkey Kong, Bayonetta 2, Lego City, Hyrule Warriors were all originally wii u games. Without the Wii U the Switch- which I also love- would be freakin barebones. And in the case of BOTW, originally developed for the Wii U, some of the systems features were actually scaled back so the Switch didn't look inferior. Plus, and I hate to use this argument given the stellar work Hamster is doing on Switch, it's got Virtual Console. Just off to play those hard to get turbo grafx titles...
My fave Sonic character is Cream the Rabbit (and no not because her name sounds like she's a character from Fritz the Cat). Although she's a character in the best Sonic games (even more so than Mania) so I'm swayed. Plus she's a flirt... Erm...
@BulbasaurusRex DOA5 not the best examle i n my opinion. While the general idea is right they went WAY overboard on the amount of DLC which is overpriced. Don't know about Steam but the PS4 DOA5 dlc section is a mess.
I'd like, but confused too. Does this include first game too. The review suggests it does but not clearly. Loved how it was handled in DragonBall Xenoverse 2. Having first game too would ba a I need this NOW.
It's been interesting seeing their growth. Couple years back I noticed quite a few games on my Wii U were CIRCLE. Recently got Mercenary Saga and World Conqueror X. While not perfect they are fun. And the latter title is unique on the Switch, and arguably better than some of the physical 40 quid plus titles. Good to see 'em not just play it safe and have a crack at all genres. CIRCLE were component, then a safe bet for a punt. They're now actually quite good. Just hope the upward trajectory continues. They've obviously got a soft spot for Nintendo, so hopefully they'll reap the sort of reward Hamster is currently experiencing.
Want But if they do keep stuff behind a paywall will wait till it's half price. Just when are companies gonna learn these practises are not acceptable. It killed the likes of SFV and Destiny 2. A good example of how to do this kind of thing is Injustice, a few secret characters every few month. Although even that games season pass is overpriced, but at least it would seem, though I could be mistaken, the dlc character were created after the game came out.(Gotta admit, Turtles, genius).
Sol Divide is interesting in that it was just so unexpected. It kinda seems cos Japan loves these arcade golden oldies they‘re grazing up as many titles as possible - but we get them too. I just did not expect my PS4 to be gathering dust. This is fantastic. For all those bemoaning the lack of VC, give them a go. Covering all genres I suggest: King of Fighters 98, Magical Drop 3, Mario VS, Shock Troopers, Samurai Shodown 2/4, NeoGeo Turf Masters, Gunbarich, Waku Waku 7, Blazing Star, Zero Gunner 2. All heaven.
Took a punt cos of the price Although played Command and Conquer back in PS1 days havent played this type of game in years. Doesn't feel cheap and deep enough.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Hamster is one of the main reasons I have 3 physical games and a couple dozen digital. And I'm an oldie that used to hate digital. I love the one price fits all model. While some titles may seem overpriced, you get Garou for six quid at home and on the go. So how many titles you releasing now Hamster? 1000? What's astonishing is that 1000 can no longer be considered jokey pie in the sky.
I didn't buy any tables any tables after the freebies and wasn't gonna buy any when I heard the patch was cancelled. But fair enough they listened. Any chance of a sale in the meantime?
It wouldn't surprise me if 6 months down the line, when all the kids have full mastered it, Nintendo do an update with a 'hard' mode. Although it will more likely be called 'challenge' mode to keep the Kirby for everyone vibe.
Tough call but mine are based on the games I've had most fun with. (And no sniggering at n umber two - it's awesome). 10. Waku Waku 7 9. Gunbarich 8. Sonic Mania 7. Samurai Shodown IV 6. Fire Emblem Warriors 5. The King of Fighters ’99 4. Garou; Mark of the Wolves 3. Mario Odyssey 2. Riptide GP Rengade 1. The Last Blade
Got Sengoku 2 for free. However, 34points earned for a Hamster game means 19 games and get one free. It does make you think discounts on even DLC would be better. Still better than nowt.
It does seem wii u owners are being shortchanged. I already own Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and Bayonetta so I,m not getting them again. I see no reason why wii u owners couldn,t have been offered a Switch upgrade for each title like a tenner - this was done on some PS3 to PS4 titles, you'd have the game disc in at the tim of the upgrade. Nintendo is even being shown up by other game publishers.Hyrule Warriors - all the DLC plus the3DS levels, new characters -man if only Nintendo made this much effort.
I'm starting to think not having a virtual arcade on the Switch has actually been a good thing. Hamster is now so ingrained on the system it's probable that even the most casual of gamers have tried a couple of titles. And it could be argued that a new generation of gamers are being taught how to play fighters an schumps. If virtual console existed we'd put all our cash into the old Mario, Kirby games and so on. Hell, look at how well Mario VS. I,m not saying the VC is not wanted, it's just been unexpectantly good that it's been delayed. Retro fans are in heaven, and new fans re being created. Gamers experiment, obscure titles are released. Hamster have created such a good business model that other retro outfits - psyiko, tiger shark- are following it very closely. It seems that Hamster were not bluffing when they said they want 800 games from them on the Switch. Winners all round really.
Also bought on wii u in sale. It's actually not bad. I know that sounds like a backhanded compliment but it does everything right it's just not spectacular. Kay, indeed all the cast are cool and fun. And while it is sparse it looks kinda gorgeous. It also kinda sedate and that,s the killer. It's serene take your time vibe is gonna make it ideal in handheld mode. Just so long as they don't charge more than 20 quid. Be awesome if, and I don't even know if this is possible, charge a fiver for those who already own it on wii u.
Loving Xenoverse on the Switch. Got it in the U S sale for 27 pounds! Love how your custom character appears in all the cut scenes. Holding off getting Fighterz as it has to appear on the switch.
My Switch is littered with Neo Geo games. It's been my main focus at times. Surprises like shock Troopers which is awesome, and games I've wanted for years like KOF 99 which never had a UK release. Never in a million years would I have thought Nintendo would be THE place for SCHUMP's and fighters.
One of the games where having the Japan version is worthwhile. There's a couple of graphic changes, the main being spiky hair in the west, a bun in Japan. Not a big a deal as Hamster's Magical Drop II but still good to have the choice.
