Luckily own only Samurai Shodown from that list on switch. Held off getting most due to already owning on PS2 and other consoles (I already had Shodown but wanted the series so bad on Switch). I'll get all the other 9. Worked out can get 5 ACAs and Cloud Master with a £25 eshop card this week, and the other 4 ACAs with a £15 card next week. Means probably got 4 versions Metal Slug - PS2, PSP, PSN, (possibly more) - and the fighting games at least twice (KoF 94 more) but price just too good.
Deffo sticking with Nintendo through Wii U era has massively helped. And truthfully Starlink is only gonna sell on Switch. Unless there's a last minute announcement of Rachet for PS4.
Monkey King Master of the Clouds? Seriously? The arcade version of my favourite Master System game ever! For me, this is beyond amazing. Still one of my top three shooters. Unbelievable. Ecstatic.
Got the wii u under the bedroom TV. And I love the chunky gamepad. Survives being slept on for a good eight hours (this has happened more than once). And turbografx is to wii u what neogeo is to Switch (ie brill)
@link3710 yeah. Wouldn't have touched Piczle Lines with a bargepole normally (looked like Suduko which I despise) and genuinely my most played Switch game. And Enter the Gungeon not reallymy genre but when they did the extra stuff, I was like, fair enough I'll take a punt.
Wow like all these companies giving free dlc. And all of it genuinely ace. So far I've had free dlc for this, Hollow Knight, piczle lines dx, World Conqueror X, Fast RMX, Slime-San, and Enter the Gungeon. And most, probably all, the free stuff was far superior to stuff I've paid for. And Piczle Lines gave away so much free stuff (literally dozens hours) I bought the sequel day one even though nowhere near completing the original (as it's literally hundreds of hours long). It's almost like (n)indies realise treating gamers with respect will make us buy their stuff ...
Jeez, this better have a japanese soundtrack option as the english dub is atrocious. It sounds like outtakes from old Scooby Doo episodes, without the fun, fear or familiarity. I watck old school anime and even ancient HK movies on occassion (OK when drunk and my eyes are squiffy) but that is worse than anything I've encountered, bland, unexciting and zero emotion. It's not even in the so bad it's good as it's shockingly boring.
I get where the reviewers coming from. The score is for the package, not just the game. In the review he points out the issues of the game and that it is not foe everyone. The only people who will be misled are those people who typically just read the score and not the review, and that's their fault. And I think mtacritic averages are a terrible way to judge a game for those concerned it bumps up the score. For comparison, I collect Arrow blu rays, whether horror or arty fare. And some of the films can be quite poor. However the blu's become must-haves due to the quality of the extras, documentaries and historical artifacts. And by including extras in the standard release, Limited Run are acknowledging the games faults, yet historical significance.
@ryando yea you're right it was Arcade. Mag only ran for something like 24 issues but have all the issues. Yea there seemed to be Nell every issue but it was so much fun. They once had a massive article on non-Final Fantasy RPGs making me aware of really awesome obscure titles in those pre internet days.
Guess quite a few of us still have copies of Game Over that came free with a Nintendo magazine back in the 'noughties in the UK. Was a special reprint but the full book. Great read.
Never played Langrisser (don't think they were released in UK) so not as excited as the awesome Grandia. Heard good things though so obviously day one purchase. Me thinks I better check Ladbrookes for the odds on a Suikoden double I and II being next.
Wasn't interested in this at all. But for some reason it's now on my radar. I think weirdly, it's cos of the R suffix. Got BomberMan after all the updates and it's genuinely brilliant (though we need a Saturn port). So I'll give Konami a pass considering all the hate they're currently getting, and the more you hear of the whole Kojima situation it appears it's not as one-sided as initially thought. Wouldn't touch Survival with a barge pole, obviously...
I belive that he is not not interested in quite a few genres, and other Nintendo teams picked up the slack. I think that's how we ended up with ARMS and Splatoon. And though I'm not a fan myself of WoW type games it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo would like something similar to justify it's online service. And hate to admit Zelda would be a good fit a'la Dragon Quest Online.
This looks very much a marmite product. I hate the design and think it looks awful. However, the fact it's got a good start-up means it does have it's fans. And if it looked like every other book what would be the point. They need to stick to their unique (bleaughhh...) vision, rather than please everyone.
Originally picked this up for the Master System back in '89 and it was a marvel. I also think it was also my first RPG I ever played (never owned a NES till the early 'noughties). The first game, well either this or 'SONIC', I ever completed. I even played and completed a second time when it came out as an extra on the PS3 MegaDrive collection. The 3D dungeons were stunning. Great game but wasn't gonna buy again, but I know I'll give in.
@Sakura yeah all 3 on same cart would make it a no brainer, even with me owning first two on original Xbox. BTW, you're the reason I had to add 7!!!!!! May lik e you're style but hate you getting in there first.
OMG! OMG! OMG! The original Grandia absolutely my favourite game ever. Originally played this same kinda time as Ocarina of Time. Now Ocarina is an outstanding masterpiece. But I love Grandia, and my top game ever (Skies of Arcadia being joint for the top spot). Such a surprise. And with the ShenMue upgrades... what a week.
Got all the Wonder Boy, Monster Boy games on Master System and MegaDrive so a must buy. Geez, think I'm living in the early '90's. Monster Boy, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Hamster Neo's... Just need an Alex Kidd compilation next. C'mon Sega you know it makes sense.
The Syberia titles should all have been released as one package. The first two were way overpriced. And, while I'm sure I'll get hate for this, while the pricing is not as bad, all three Banner Saga's should have been one package considering the age of the first two games. It makes it kinda obvious when, I believe, all three Banners will be released physically on one cart.
Super Monkey Ball and it's sequel were consistantly played in my household for literally years. They were the only games played by my other half along with Mario Kart Double Dash.
I've never understood the hugely inflated prices for sealed items. N64 games especially. You can have a mint game, no marks, and sells for a reasonable price. If it's sealed then goes for many times that figure. And it'll never be opened! And, while I'm sure that this has been checked for the specific items, as any comic book fan will tell you, unless the plastic is non -acidic, paper rot can occur over the years. Now N64 game wrappers seem decent quality, but the booster pack plastic is of poor quality made to be ripped off. Still stupid either ways.
I actually got a 128gb Toshiba last year and was a bit worried as Toshiba are never mentioned in 'best of ' range. But it works wonderfully. Instant access, responsive, although I'm sure all cards are like this. Was 30 quid in a sale and well pleased.
Figure it's still worth a punt at say £15. Checks price... It's £36!!!!!! I've noticed quite a few publishers get the pricing so wrong on the Switch. There's so many brilliant games on the Switch for less than 20 quid to break that bracket your game needs to be outstanding. I adore Dreamfall and so I'm spot on the market for this game. But even that game, brand new physical, only cost me 25 quid. Like c'mon...
Great interview. Quick fire laughs. Adored Origins, totally awesome. Odyssey just looks like it's way too big for a fit on the Switch. But that's fine. I'll trust Ubi tohave something in the pipeline for us.
Bought it other week at Argos at right pricing (£25.99). And it's fantastic. There's a huge download when you first put in the game, but the extra content is awesome. Fully understand it's bad to release a shoddy game, but at least the improvements are substantial. Even if it is to allow a better response when latterly released on other systems - see also No Man's Sky.
Love WRC. This is deffo more arcade. Just really worried about that sometime after other formats. And better be all on cart - will except a single player cart, online download, just so long as game can be played without having to use up tons storage.

Have ThunderForce II and IV so III is a must.

Hated first minute then loved second minute. However given the high cost will see how much content before making final judgement.
Re: Video: Ubisoft Shares An Extended Gameplay Walkthrough Of Starlink: Battle For Atlas
Another undecided. It kinda looks old school, which isn't in itself bad, but at 70 quid just expect to be wowed. And not ... yet

No CoD, Battlefield, or Red Dead in the top 50 either which is interesting.

Seems very sensible! I assumed this was just the Nintendo chart but it's multi format. Yet it's swamped with Switch.
