@TYRANACLES I absolutely loved the original Bubsy game. I remember getting it when it came out in the early 90s and playing it constantly. Its just as fun now as it was back then as well. Now everything after the first bubsy was meh, but the original is a classic.

Just Tactics on Switch 2 this weekend. I forgot how hard this game really is without really thinking about strategy. Got about 15 hours in and hit a wall on a boss fight. Will be interesting to see what lasts longer, my desire to continue or my lack of patience with hard games. Will I persevere or will I shelve the game for eternity, again.

I like them both, but I really suck at kart games and only play them single player. MKW is a better game of the two for my tastes.

All the set legos are essentially one off builds. My house is filled with lego sets my daughter and I have built together since she was 5. (She knocked out the home alone house nearly solo at 7.) Once done they are display pieces. This one is on my office desk since its pretty small and cool looking.

Mine arrived early last week, my 9 year old daughter and I built it in an afternoon. Great set, but now she wants a real one. Told her to play it on her switch.

All this GKC hate here. Then you have people like me whove been 100% digital since it was feasible to do so. I bought 1 GKC just to see what all the hate was for and was like, meh, works for me. (Madden 26)

I get the rage, but lets be honest, weve been moving to all digital for years. GKC are just the next step.

I had the original VB day 1, and enjoyed a couple of the games I picked up for it.(Tennis and Wario), while the others were a bit meh.

Though I will almost certainly buy it, play for 15 min to experience the nostalgia of a sore back and nausea, and put on display never to be used again.

I absolutely love this game on switch 2. I dont care about the fps, utterly irrelevant to me.

Game looks and plays great, much better than last years version on ps5 pro.

Its just a fun game to play.

@N64-ROX as a digital only gamer I guess I just dont really see a difference until the servers go down whenever that may be. Until then, i guess the only real advantage must be if your trying to steal the game by playing on multiple devices or backing up the rom.

@sixrings Im well aware if iteration and fully expect it.(ive been buying sports games since they first appeared on an Annual basis)

This year was a toss up for me since i wanted it portable, but it looks and sounds like the change isnt big despite a hardware upgrade. So next years will likely be better. Iterative is fine, but it needs to be more than a standard iteration if it crosses platforms.

I hate hard games, but I bought this game. Would it be great if they added an easy mode? Sure. But its also fine as is. Im a few hours in and its been pretty enjoyable so far. I die a lot, but it hasn't felt burdensome yet.

So what im reading is, skip this year if you wanted it on switch 2 for portability.

Kinda sucks because madden on s2 is brilliant. 2k25 on s1 was ok but definitely had some issues visibly.

@Dr_Awkward Agree with this. Most people really dont care. Ive bought 2 now and honestly I dont even realize its a keycard. Dont really understand the whining.

I bought this on ps5 a while ago, put in 10 hours or so and really enjoyed it. Just got side tracked by other games in my limited time to play. Might pick it up again on switch 2 since I have more time to play it there.

Im looking forward to this one. I bought the game on Series X a while ago and really enjoyed it, but ran out of time to play it and eventually moved on. Same thing happened for Doom on the switch years ago. Sure it looked terrible, but despite owning the xbox version of the game I bought it again for Switch and cleared it because it was where I had the time to play.

I imagine this one is uglier, but having lived through the 80s and 90s I am not afraid of low frame rates or resolution as long as the game is solid.

I.....can only see the difference in the clarity of one building in the final few seconds of the shot, and then only by pausing. Im sure there are better examples of the differences, but this probably deters me more than anything else in regards to buying the patch.

Hopefully it gets added to the nso + sub.

As someone looking forward to this game and having less than 0 interest in silksong, I cant help but be annoyed. Enough so that I may skip this one altogether.

I picked up the first due to hype, then found I really didnt like the game. Ill be skipping this one, but very happy to see smaller devs building so much hype. Hoping the fans eat it up.

@Spoony_Tech Its easily the best to me. I dont really like the artwork in the Japanese one.

I much prefer the NA version as an adult. It just looks more like a game I'd be interested in and is not as busy as the other 2. I like the artwork a lot more as well. 13-year-old me back when this thing came out though probably would have said Japan.

Probably a silly question, but in handheld mode with VRR, wouldnt 40 just go up to 120?

Personally I dont care if its 20, 50, or 80, its all the same to me. Cant tell the difference unless it's jumping around.

Since ill only play this portable and Ive been waiting for years to have a proper portable madden game(I got one on the steamdeck, and I also bought last years for my PS5 Pro so I could use the portal, but its not the same) , I am pretty excited about it. Review looks like its going to be a solid win. Hopefully next year we get college football so I can migrate over from the PS5 Pro version I bought this year and keep all my sports in one portable console. (I always buy multiple copies of nba2k so where it lands doesnt bother me)

So many whiners about the lack of full on physical. Most of you were likely just looking to resell anyway, which can still be done until the DL servers are inevitably shut down.

Its been 2 decades since I bothered with physical, and cant see any reason to go back .

So I have 0 concern about the lack of full game on card. What I am annoyed with though is that they think a 2 year old game that frequently sells for $20-$30 is worth $70 now.

I bought these at launch because they were cheap and my 9 year old daughter has tiny little hands.

They have been a huge success for her and her friends(enough that I bought a second set so they can do 4 player)

I tried them once and was horrified at how bad I felt with them, they are just too small. But for kids or folks who dont mind tiny unattached wheels they are perfect.

I bought 2 cameras, a nintendo cam and the hori pirahna cam.

Not surprised by the total attach rate. Games are ok though, jamboree is good fun.

I own most xbox titles, but honestly id buy either of the most recent forza games again without hesitation for the switch 2

As a launch day buyer of the virtual boy, and someone who remotely enjoyed it even back then, I have to disagree with some placements on this list.

I can accept wario at #1, it was good fun. But mario tennis was a strong contender for #1 as well. I spent countless hours playing mario tennis.

Aside from that, panic bomber was an amazing game too. I dont need multiple players, and infact, prefer solo play in bomberman games(all games really)

The rest of the systems games were unfortunately garbage.

On a side note, waterworld the movie was actually pretty good and is a much better watch now than it was when it came out.

@tanaka2687 I wouldn't worry about them. There are always people who are going to troll because they think it's funny. When they grow up, they usually stop and realized it was pointless. I'd think of them as more immature as opposed to being soulless.

I never take extremely low scores on user polls with any level of seriousness because there are very few games that would ever merit a 3 or 4, let alone a 1 or 2.

Loving the game, but there are some things that are taking me a bit longer to get used to control wise. Currently Id have it at a solid 8/10.

DF takes everything from a very objective point of view, which is what they should do. It gives a baseline fact, but cant account for human variability.

For example, I am unable to perceive the difference between 30 and 60fps, nor can I usually tell the difference between 720p, 1080p, or things in that range, especially on a small screen. As such, while their findings are correct factually, they are not what I see.

I dont know about this game(its not out yet), but generally speaking I cant tell in most cases where df discusses flawa.

I read the title and my brain went to "Switch 1 version is so good you cant upgrade it"

Read the comments and people obviously read it differently.

Either way, we're talking about a remaster of 2 2d games from 30+ years ago. Im ok with whatever version is cheapest. I really dont need 60 or 120fps in a game like this. The s2 will upscale, but even if not 720p is fine.

Not surprised at all by this. Nintendo is working on removing any and all consumer rewards programs. Sony is doing the same. Gold points, vouchers, playstation rewards points, the stars program, etc...

This is being done in conjunction with increasing prices. What it feels like to me is the companies are getting pinched somewhere and they want/need to maintain margins, so they are removing costs and increasing revenue.

Am I in the minority when I say I just toss broken controllers in the trash and buy new ones?

Ive had a switch pro since it came out and never had an issue. Bought a pro 2 and love it.

Only controller issues ive ever had were joycons and always the left joycon. Had to buy 3 of those over 8 years. Never lost an xbox or ps controller. Had a few older gen controllers die over the years, but always just bought new ones.

I mean, we get thousands of hours of use out of them. For $90 or whatever thats a good deal.

Im old, so i have lots of love for print. Subbed to gameinformer day 1 of its return and will back this as well.

Like launches of old, not a lot of dedicated games yet. Ive spent most of my time on fantasy life switch 2 edition and survival kids with my daughter. Mixing in some mkw, sf6, and fast fusion when i can. Needless to say, I have things to play but nothing exclusive really pulls me in like odyssey did on switch. Fun games, but its lacking the killer title. Maybe dk? Time will tell.

Hard to say really. Ive enjoyed each iteration of the switch and currently am enjoying the switch 2. I expect future iterations will improve on the switch 2 weaknesses such as battery and screen, but the primary factor overall will likely come down to external factors. If economics makes the switch 2 $900 in the us someday, I cant imagine sales globally reaching 150million. Then there are the games, will nintendo land another 3d mario game or zelda? History says yes, but we shouldnt bank on it.

Having grown up with crt, including old knobbed black and white tvs, I can say 100% that I do not miss them nor have any nostalgia towards them.

Happy some still like them, but those 800lb blurry death boxes belong in a museum.

Im fine with it downloading all so I dont have to download everytime I get the itch to play one. That said, having an option to offload games within the app would be nice I guess. I have plenty of space, so its not really a concern for me.

Picked this up on day 1 with my switch 2 despite already owning a copy on the series x. Been a solid pickup, game looks and plays well in handheld and docked. Honestly unless I look for flaws, I cant tell the difference between the series x and switch 2 versions. (To be clear, there is a difference, but when playing you dont really notice)

No clue what an aespa is, outside of a cookie cutter kpop band. (My elder daughter(25) listens to kpop and informed me that Im an old fogey for having no clue)

If it keeps games affordable though by extracting revenue from fans, im 100% all in. They pay more so I can pay less.

Highly suggest people dont put value in user review scores. Trust videos, quality critic reviews, and most importantly, yourself.

Review bombing is dumb, its nice that it allows people to express anger but it should hold no value in our decision making process

Tekken 8 switch 2 edition would be fun.

Aside from that, I just want some more switch 2 games.

@Geit_de Thats really odd sounding to me. I honestly cant fathom why people would play on a monitor in full hd over even a cheap 4k tv.
I dont even think I could find a non 4k tv these days. Monitors, yes, but consoles arent meant for monitors.
I can only imagine you must be very young.

I preordered mine on best buy a little bit ago. $30 here in the us....wonder why that is...

@Geit_de Well, I bought all of these regardless, so not really paid for me. Also, who doesnt have atleast a 4k tv? They are like $100 for cheap large ones now. About the same as a game

Im ok with this game, it could use a couple of quality of life enhancements though.

The fact it locks me out if i start a mouse minigame by accident with the pro controller forcing me to get up and enable the joycon is aggravating. Not game breaking, but reminds me of the old days with wired controllers or multidisc titles. It breaks the experience.

I cant be the only one who hated the gamecube controller. The analog was useless, the feel was always small and it often cramped my hands up.

Its better than the n64 controller, but not what id call a good controller. I much prefer duke or even the og playstation controller.

Doesnt mean i wont pick this up because nintendo makes games that work perfectly with there controllers.

@AllBLK I will buy a switch 2 oled but I also am fine with the lcd. You can like the lcd but acknowledge oled is better.
