Felt a bit average to me, too heavy on dlc or games from 3ds era coming over that just didn't particularly interest me much.
Pikmin 4 opened very nicely but then I felt no excitement myself until metroid (which only being 1 deflated it slightly) and Gameboy.
Happy advance wars got a release date as did Zelda but felt nothing much new and big revealed and hung on likes of almost out kirby for too long..

New Ps5 games unless they are discounted releases have been 75 euro here that's almost 81 usd . Xbox have slowly closed that gap to 70-75 euro.
It's eventually just going be new industry price.
Though Botw is still 55 euro today and was 60-65 euro at launch which is rare most nintendofirst parties launch arround 50-55 and come down to maybe 45. Is it a bigger cartridge memorywise than majority switch games?

@Luminous117 I know right its such a daft assumption. But apparently that's been a huge issue for tech companies now. They planned or expected the "good times" covid profits increase to last . Now its gone you have lay offs and cut backs accross the industry.

It's a decent move by Nintendo as it softens the blow of inflation a bit. Think its wrong for people to associate it directly and specifically with an increase in game price.
McDonalds were in the news in japan for raising their prices recently along with various snack companies etc cost of living is raising in general.
Inflation is the true culprit thats driving cost up across the board and no company wants to take the hit to their profit by not passing it on to consumers I'm afraid.

It just seems with these sales reports the market always goes that numbers(often huge) is disappointing as its X and we wanted X plus Y (usually a unrealistic number).
Loads of them were shocked the video game covid sales bump ended but of course it did.

Wouldn't be surprised since every bill I have has increased in last 6 months particularly electricity, gas petrol etc and price has gone up on pretty much everything else in supermarket.
Even likes of a can of coke is like 20% more.
Video games aren't inflation proof they just seem to be the last thing to increase.

What's wrong with either version. Half way through campaign on xbox and played switch version for 3 levels too using n64 controller. Nothing majorly wrong has popped up for me on either. Could original team do better, probably but like its 26 years on I assume none or extremely few of them work for Rare or even same company as each other.

@Arawn93 triangle strategy is not the same at all, it's not clear the connections if any vs Advance Wars clear use of hey its war but fun and full of stereotypes
Nintendo made a PR decision based on protecting its image. I love advance wars myself and hope they will release it already but I see why it was delayed,same thing happened with advance wars due to 911 in many markets if I recall correctly.
Modern Warfare was in late October when some time had passed. Also Activision Blizzard doesnt have much of a reputation to protect from public scrutiny after its scandals

Rwalistically there is a very big PR difference in releasing it in 2023 vs releasing it shortly after a war broke out involving a nation the game parodies in a cartoon manner through Olaf and Blue moon. Sadly the war has being going on so long that its now become normalised as opposed to the shocking event it initially was.

Great to have it playable on something other then my aging N64. Great game and holds up better than half games on later consoles.

So it's in the game on release and people were giving out about it from trailer before they tired the game on release and jumped to its been removed outrage. Very much jumped the golden gun on this one.

1 in UK charts, the series has come along way since games stores had no clue what I was looking for trying to find shadow dragon on ds. Which eventually found randomly In a video store after tired so many gaming outlets

@Anti-Matter not asking you to support them just to recognise others like things you dont and stop moaning that things you don't personally like sell well. If majority just want to enjoy fifa or fortnite let them , doesn't impact me playing whatever I want.

@Anti-Matter No they don't mate, people need to buy whatever games they enjoy playing. For a majority thats fifa, gta etc not my bag personally but theres a reason they sell. For someone always pushing kid centric poorly reviewed games you should appreciate that.

That's the problem isn't it every second comment for games like this on its digital release is "no physical no buy" "I'll wait for a physical " etc on these limited physical release articles ( they cant print them in massive numbers as wont sell them all) there will be comments complaining it's too pricey.

Quick save is a welcome feature. I've been caught out before in persona games waiting for a save point.

The successor to the switch most likely.Realistically the only way modern high spec games will work on Switch is by cloud gaming which everyone here seems to hate but It's either that are they won't be on the console at all. I love my Switch but it's tech is rapidly aging, thats why i have other ways to play the big new non Nintendo releases. Asking for native ports for the Switch of games running on the latest Gen consoles such as ps5 or X Series its almost like trying to port a Switch game to the Gamecube at this stage.

Sony looks increasingly ridiculous now. Claiming there's no way it can compete against CoD and monopoly etc. Microsoft going we offered you a deal and look it's on Steam and Nintendo (on paper) you have confused Playstation with the entire gaming market Sony. This is also the same "this is for the players "Sony that hates cross play, has a digital only model of the ps5 and an overcharging digital store, doesn't allow digital game codes to be sold elsewhere and always tells you buy Playstation for exclusives , anyone it buys is suddenly Playstation only but MS exclusives are bad. Increases the price of its consoles and pushes overpriced remakes of remakes. Tries tocharge for upgrading to ps5 versions whenever it can. Really lost alot of respect for Sony in last few years

It's possible to have different tastes without excessively dumping on things others like.
I don't personally enjoy Fifa or GTA but I don't feel the need to declare them bad and point out I like something different.

Ah competitive Smash the small minority of Samsh players who insist they are responsible for the series success, are riddled with scandals some of which are very serious and who hate everything for not being melee. Cant imagine why control freak Nintendo wouldn't want them representing and assiciatted with their game which the creator never wanted to be a competitive one but a fun party game.

Ads a bit toothless and cringey compared to segas 90s efforts but the dog at the end screaming brings back memories of when their ads were cool and wacky

Being playing in handheld mode for few hours a day since launch. I wouldn't call it a polished graphical experience but I've barely experienced any glitches that seemingly make it unplayable. Got stuck on a platform once for 3 minutes before game coped it and moved me.

Sony truly only concerned for the good of the players just like they were when they were the only one of the big 3 that uped the price of their console. Who believes their whinging.

Emulators are fine if you use them for a game you own (morally you can argue for older games no longer available but that doesnt make it legal( , but lets not pretend everyone using them owns the game already or that nintendo have to be happy with either emulation and privacy of its games, none of the game companies are and of course they will do things to stop it, whether its a lost cause overall or not

Tired demo in handheld mode and worked really well for me. Was so surprised but I've no need of it as have it already on another console. Not a bad way to play if you have decent internet and no other option except price needs to be better.
I can buy it for half the price on other consoles

Nintendoland was great fun with mates and loved some of the one player games like ninja stars too

Technically it was a half translated version of the Japanese blue I think it was a friend had on a pc on an emulator about a year before the actual games arrived. He actual brought a full old school pc to my gaff to show me it. After that got both red and blue for Christmas once they released here. It was a long couple of months wait but worth it

People still on about the pro at this point. A switch "pro" as powerful as a ps5 yeah that's not an upgraded switch that's a completely different console that's backwards compatible with the Switch , which would be priced like a Ps5/xbox x/ steam deck . Would split switch games into regular switch ganes and only for New Switch labels. Be like that New 3ds only games confusion again . Any upgrade will be minor to keep current users onboard. Think its time we consider its successor in 2023/24 rather than an upgrade

Not surprising and I suspect Switch probably is the console with the lowest percentage if digital due to its success with younger audiences.
Its going to happen in a gen or two, most people i know have gone digital due to ease or lack of space. Happened to pc gaming years ago

The Xbox One did have likes of GTA,COD,Red dead and Fifa etc. But it was often bundled with one of these big games and was often much cheaper than buying the more popular PS4 so it was often the cheapest option in shops to just play these big "Serious Gaming " titles if not the most popular one.

From my own experience the UK and Irish Market (which im more familiar with but its very similar ) hasn't been particularly big into Nintendo home consoles apart from the wii ,since playstation 1 dominated the market in the N64 days Even before than mega drive seemed to be more popular than SNES. Xbox and Nintendo have markets and fans but Playstation is the default really for the majority and tends to get lions share of the shelf space. Its grip was only really seriously challenged when ps3 was way too expensive and xbox 360 gave it fierce competition.

It really needs to just release Gameboy and GBA titles already. Gamecube too. Like that's really what I'm dying to play rather than SNES games I've multiple ways to play already and N64 is good but well it never a deep catalogue

Like people calling her a liar well you definitely mislead people so yes it fits, big difference between 10k-15k to voice the entire game and 4k to voice "some lines" rather than 4k for whole game. Also how is it 450m franchise? Without merch (what like that one amiibo maybe a few figurines). Like entilted to a good wage but sorry the most important part of the game isn't the Voice work.

Theres a legit question here about how much VAs get paid and what should be the fair standard rate (the video game industry does need to reaccess things like developer pay too etc as its grown into a massive business in last few decades) but she handled the whole thing so poorly and unprofessionally. Seems she was offered the role at a rate she didn't like and refused it, thats entirely her right and shes entitled to set her own worth but doesnt mean the Company has to agree with it which in this case they clearly didn't.Attacking Hale which lead to her getting alot of online flak for simply accepting a job (i doubt she had an idea about Taylors reasons, as none of ud did til recently), calling for a Boycott and claiming no one else could voice the character was ridiculous. Like it's not her IP nor was she in contractual bound to play bayonetta, VAs change all the time as do actors.

She didnt accept their offer as was too low in her opinion. Fine she's allowed do that of course and set her price. Why should I boycott the game though?

Yeah I've it on N64 bought recently enough as its never been a pricey game or hard to find one for the n64 here, have on Xbox store since 360 days, its included also in rare replay and both are on gamepass to so can also stream on pc too no? So rather difficult, is a massive stretch here.

Chap is just iconic as Mario, i heae his Mario voice and thats a Mario . All other voices just feel like someone playing or attempting Mario. Like David Hayter as Solid Snake/big boss or Mark Hamils Joker nothing else feels quite the same.

Id love a massive klassic kollection release of 1,2,3 ,ultimate mk 3, trilogy, 4 & gold Mythlogies and shaolin monks, ,deadly alliance, deception a,armageddon and MK9. Throw in special forces even just for a laugh even.

I've worked contract placement through agencies in the past often for years.
Im not here to defend the practice in general at all but its common and its definitely a way to have you work somewhere but have less of well everything compared to a permanent full time employee of the company including job security.
But when you are on these temporary outsourced contracts etc why would you rock the boat like that by tweeting whatever and asking the head of it questions Its really just shooting yourself in the foot, if you are seen as a problem you won't be renewed when fixed terms passed. Thats just the way it is

Columbine happened and suddenly the media spot light was on violent video games as a potential cause. Putting your school chums faces into a shooting game went from a cool feature to a PR nightmare and presumably was dropped for that reason

Seeing how they would need to create a new transfer pak that works with switch it's expected. Like at least until switch has gb games available
