Miss the days of bam here's most of GEN 2 in the wild go find them

Be nice to have zero mission and fusion on switch
So I don't need to go back to wii u and 3ds

Those 9 launch games would be 90 on wii u VC (if all on it) so 10-12 a year seems reasonable plus the mega drive games (yes yes they been released hundreds of times I think as them more as a bonus here)

Played this at the weekend and it's not worth it's current price at all, feels rushed, bare bones and just plain unfinished
Music is terrible, the no voices or even grunts off characters is werid , no items and some levels kill you more than the other players do.
Needed more development or it needs a cheaper price

I'm not mad into Sora myself personally or KH but the winner of the Smash Ballot joining as the last character is a very nice touch. Presumably they couldn't work it out back then but kept at it.

Banjo and win back have me most excited as they hint towards the service having more than the usual n64 hits rolled out on VC.
Like might now see the likes of Jetforce gemni, perfect dark, Rogue Squadron, Turok etc
Other lesser available games that nintendo don't own out right that havnt left the n64.

I think if it's primarily designed for playing multiple games and isn't a PC, it's a console.
Of course handhelds like gameboy, psp and ds are consoles. Cant see why wouldn't be.
Those old tiger handheld games would be where a draw the line personally myself really. The game and watch is more a game than a console to me as it doesn't play more than its 1 to 3 games.
Mini consoles are plug and play about 20 plus games, so I'd count them whereas things that play only a single game like those joystick plug and plays i wouldn't call a console.
Granted the line gets a bit arbitrary.
You can argue all are consoles but in my head it needs to play a few things and it has a stronger case if it has the likes of carts or cds or an eshop for games.

This is insane like no game is worth these prices. Its a common game that was mass produced in 90s, like new condition or not shouldn't be this price at all. Seems very sus

Yeah we in Europe often get shafted by the consoles price being directly converted from usd price 1 to 1.
Plus games are way more expensive and always have been. Like average new switch game is equivalent of 65- 71 dollars .
An upcoming ps5 game is like 95 dollars

Would it be nice to have easy cheap legal way to access to all games ever sure.
Is it feasible not really.
Rights expiry, some games aren't profitable and others aren't good enough to bother.
Companies don't have to do anything like that's silly trying to make it a responsibility or right.
It would be nice if the big 3 made better efforts though but then retro gaming isn't for the mass market and profit drives all companies.
Are collectors ruining it well like they are one preserving games that probably be binned if no one did . If they were incredible cheap wouldn't have much people or stores selling them.
Evaluation and roms are options I'm not going judge people for using them, like it's way more feasible and I'm not going scream at companies taking down as they are the rights holders. It's just the dance that is emulation.

It's silly look pokemon has gambling it's potentially teaching kids how with fake money for in game prizes like a bowling alley arcade ticket set up. 18+
Lootboxes and likes actually tricking kids into gambling with real money for skins etc nah that's cool no problems here.

@bluemage1989 I hear you they are brutal. Things get delayed and then on top of that take few extra weeks to arrive and zero help from them.

I really need to go put in the work and catch them all. Last National pokedex I completed was black 2 bit behind

@Carck well if you're happy for sega to keep making sonic games that get review scores of between 40-60% than actually learn from past mistakes cool.
But sad fact is that the majority of Sonic games are now rubbish. Hence the delisting of many of them

@RupeeClock hoping for that. Just they have a bad track record of just releasing same mega drive ports rather than properly remastering them.
Plus often it's missing sonic 3 which is a pain. (I know the reasons but it's still annoying)

Colours was much more enjoyable for me personally as well as some of the portable games.
If you enjoyed it great, like of course its all opinion and entirely subjective.
Me personally I just don't think Sega have actually made a truly great sonic game since adventure 2,
Colours and Generations got closest but still just never recaptured quality.
And honestly I don't think they likely will.

@Carck what I mean is sonic forces is the kind of mediocre to extremely bad 3d Sonic games Sega makes mistakes over and over again. Whereas a team of passionate sonic fans actually made something decent that people enjoy.
Sega has given us sonic 06, unleashed, black Knight, lost world,colours and boom (through another studio)
They seem incapable of sticking with a formula and improving it, it's has to be big, 3D and with somekinda half baked gimmick.
Every step in a decent direction like colours or generations is undone by next game.
Mania is actually a decent game.
Shows Sega don't know how to make Sonic work themselves since Dreamcast days.

This was the answer to where sonic games should go. Instead we got forces and now colours and another big 3d attempt in the works.
Sega seem incapable of making good decisions for Sonic. Still havnt released the best versions of CD etc on consoles

I hate when this happens now its do I wait or go other console. Whereas my 1st preference is switch the delay is a big factor.
Often means by the time it releases other consoles have it on sale or cheaper and better looking.
Not portable of course but that might not matter on a game by game basis for me

Everything in reasonable amounts is fine but they would rather make wild claims about that insidious gaming (probably never played anything)

On one hand I love physical media with the feeling of having something in your hand.
On the other hand there's books , games sitting about taking up space I don't have in the apartment.
When I think about last time I read or listened to them I kinda wish I could trade them for ebooks etc. Though I do like collecting things. I've stopped buying physical books,cos,dvds ,blue rays for space reasons. Games are my last bastion and even then I'm buying some digital

I don't think you can add homeconsole and portable of that generation and claim the switch isn't doing well as not exceeding combined figures. Yes it's both but times have changed the DS massive success wouldn't happen these days too much competition from smart phones etc.
It's beating 3ds plus wii u, gamecube plus gba it will most likely beat too.
Wii and Ds it won't but was a very different time of causal gamers buying consoles which has pasted.

Oled screens are gorgeous in general.

Well whatever gamestop calls its stores in whatever country. They have big problems.
Couldn't name last game I bought from them as they are insanely pricey compared to amazon and online yokes but also likes of smyths and argos.
So they always seem to be 5 to 10 more expensive than the next dearest option

This is just free to play mobile games in a nutshell really. Like once people aren't playing and buying whatever coins, diamonds, tokens etc enough to cover costs of servers and make a profit. They all go

Dust? nope I got drift in one of mine and I take excellent care of them. It wasn't even my launch day ones but splatoon neon ones. About a year old nintendo fixed it for free saying fault with stick in their letter.
Which was quick and painless in fairness to their repair team.
I've a nes that still works along with every console I've bought since the early 90s.
It's a manufacturing fault which seems to be way too common than you misused them.

Has to be Wind Waker its just improved in ways which means you can't go back. Slow sailing ⛵ never bothered me much in the day but now I can't go back to it. Oh that triforce charts nonsense annoyed me even 1st go on GC

2020 animal crossing was a gods send and spent alot of time with it
2021 it's a very odd visit to my town on special events now.

Both franchises have alot of garbage over the years. Not really right to show highs of Sf vs lows of MK.
Though perfectly fine to have a preference of course.
If they are going crossover they both are big enough that you'd want justice done to both of them .

Crossover fighting games can be fun like earlier marvel v capcoms but they can also be terrible , it can be an awkard fit.
Street fighter x tekken was rough.

@Kiz3000 apparently it became Aragorn's Quest intros hidden in game files with alot of assets. Knight wars was renamed Paragon then became a lord of the rings game.

Yeah been this way for ages in Europe. I just add funds on to the switch as sane account. ( you can do it online too but never bothered) it's based on security requirements here that 3ds and wii u didn't have and they weren't going update them.

@BANJO I also remember seeing reviews for the n64 version then it just kinda disappeared ...like it was all a dream.

I started it on the wii but was too busy to play much at the time so it kinda of got put to the side. Motion controls aren't my favourite things so looking forward to giving it a proper shot.

@FlyingFoxy well building pcs is a little different as definitely a decent accessable market for parts often straight from manufacturer (so can cut out the middlemen of shops etc) but not everyone has the skill or knowledge and patience to do so which keeps premades pcs viable so suppose you are paying for ease and all the Apple applications software and guarantees etc.
Like without skill there's a risk you would mess it up.

Whether they are worth price is questionable the market seems to say so but I'd personally agree with you that apple products are not worth the cost.

Like while a minority builds pcs no one builds likes of phones really.

Alternative article name business reportly seeks to make profit but costs of parts measured against cost on shelf for consumer does not accurately reflect the realities of a manufacturing and supply chain.

Realistically for me handheld mode is me laying on couch or bed with or without a TV on in the background. None of this bbq , swimming pool or on top of apartment building stuff

@Markiemania95 that usb port is always taken up by my adapter for the Ethernet cable atm.
Plus it's a pain to access.
I use gamecube one when playing smash but it's too clunky to leave in I find.
A smash designed Dock would be great with adapter for GC and lan built in. I'd buy that straight away
