Life is Strange: True Colors has finally been given a solid release date for Nintendo Switch.
The game's previously revealed 'December' release window has now been narrowed down, and it's been confirmed that it'll launch digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop on 7th December. Fans will have to wait a little bit longer to pick up the physical version which launches on 25th February 2022.
Despite that longer wait, pre-orders for the physical version are already open at select retailers – you can go ahead and secure a copy from the likes of Amazon and Argos as we speak.
A bold new era of the award-winning Life is Strange begins, with an all-new playable lead character and a thrilling mystery to solve!
Alex Chen has long suppressed her 'curse': the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others, which she sees as blazing, colored auras.
When her brother dies in a so-called accident, Alex must embrace her volatile power to find the truth – and uncover the dark secrets buried by a small town.
Have you been looking forward to checking out Life Is Strange: True Colors on Switch? Our friends over at Push Square reviewed the PS4 version if you're looking to learn more, saying that the game "had every chance of becoming the series' best game to date, but it's been let down by arguably its most important element: the story."

Just as it gets reduced in xbox and ps black Friday sales.
Multi platform switch version delays of games definitely put me off the switch version for this reason.
Either I can't wait or by time it's on switch other versions are getting the price reduced. So it's now really only a question of would I play it docked or portable to decide if I wait or pick up on other console
@Roibeard64 I'm the same. Sometimes I want the game on switch but I end up waiting for the price to go down to match other consoles, and I end up waiting forever. The switch versions of games usually have performance issues too, so I don't like paying extra for an inferior version. I end up not buying the game at all.
Also looking for news on the remaster of the first two,but this is still a lovely announcement!
Target had pre-orders for 34.99 a few days ago
It's cool to see a game that you'd think couldn't run on Switch get a physical version, despite releasing after other consoles... Would be really cool if I had a few games to go next to Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, Square-Enix.
Bought the steelbook for PS5 and the only game I regretted day one.It only took me about 7 or 8 hours to finish and Plat.
Enjoyed the story and her clever use of powers..but it went downhill after second or third chapter.Definitely the weakest in the series.
It's great Switch owners get to finally play it though.
most likely will pick this up digitally day one
@IAmGamer2022 Correction:
True Colors was better than all the previous Life is Strange games. Period.
The writing was miles better than in LiS1. With its outdated dialogue (wowzers!) and stereotypical plot devices straight out of a 90s teen drama. LiS1 seems amateurish compared to the writing in True Colors.
But I think the issue with LiS1 is that they had a middle aged writer trying to give voice to teenagers. He was from another time. They could've hired a younger writer to make the dialogues seem more legit.
Anyway... gonna wait for the physical copy to hit shelves since I already played the game. So not in a hurry here. And after the GTA trilogy, I want to see reviews of the Switch version before I bite.
Day one physical for me, baby! One of my favorite series. I've played the first game so much that I have nearly all the dialog memorized. Also got the platinum trophy for both PS3 and PS4 versions. Also the platinum for Before the Storm. Hell, I even have the first game on my phone, lol. So I'll also be getting the Remastered Collection as well.
I've been waiting on this.
Always liked the Life Is Strange games, going all the way back to the first one. Something about it just grabbed me.
I've been wanting these games on Switch for years. So glad they're bringing the new one and it releases in just a few weeks. Wish I hadn't bought them all on Steam now. Oh well. It's not uncommon for most of my games to also be in my Steam library.
