Scanned tom nook and got both consoles in one visit.

I think the Dual Screen was at its peak on the DS. The 3DS changed the DS function. I think the Game play on the DS was more creative because you can put it sideways. Looksley's Line Up was a clever use of the DS. That game could never happen on the 3DS. To me the 3DS was nothing more then a dual monitor on a computer. It is hard to go back to a single monitor.

The Wii U was disadvantaged because the control screen was not next to the tv screen. The 3ds was a quick glance between them. The ability to switch back and forth on the Wii U was more difficult in a real time setting which was the problem with Star Fox Zero.

If they felt that they couldn't properly communicate through marketing in the same way they blundered the Wii U then maybe it is a case where they are following the adage of, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all."

Therefore the NX must be horrible if that adage is correct.

@DarthNocturnal if your local Superstore still has an electronics department there is a good chance you may still find a new copy for $50. Who know what NOA will do or when.

You know the video game tie in for the movie will be lousy.

While some of them specify Athletic and physical activities once you get into number 4 video games could count.

The word sport was around well before computers and as time passes definitions change. To me the difference between a game and a sport is passion.

@Spoony_Tech In order for it to be a sport does it have to have a physical aspect? To me soccer or hockey is nothing more then a hobby or a game. I have no interest in watching it yet that does not invalidate the the efforts of the players or the interest in the fans.

It is a nice extra but why add a progression % when getting Rosalina is impossible now and was never really possible in Canada thanks to Targets closure. At least re-release them.

If the NX is using x86 architecture then unity might be a quick way to hit the ground running until a new engine is built.

I can actually see the dummy controller That connects over the internet happen. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U can use the 3DS as a controller.

The idea of a devices being controlled remotely isn't new either. The Ability to transmit data over a network already happens with the Wii U to the Tablet. All they need is to setup a DDNS record linked to your Nintendo account. That way the controller can always call home and then RDP into the Console itself. If this is the approach I can easily see Microsoft quickly following suit.

Lego city undercover needed to be on that list. My second complaint is you can only have one and i think that has hurt this controller the most. I also do not like the fact that you cannot easily replace it. Joysticks wear out and screens can break.

I can understand the appeal of wanting to see a Speed run but I cannot see wanting to rewatch it now. If we are only talking a couple of seconds at this point there probably wouldn't be much of a noticeable difference. Right now I would be more interested if they find a way to completely change the way they are speed running it rather then a slight optimization.

What is the downside? If it can take 3 times as much damage then that means it has 3 times the health. I'm not seeing a trade off. I can lock on and fire on 2 enemies and takes 3 times the amount of damage. That sounds like a win win here.

Most mk games are rated m. I'm pretty sure the inclusion would have effected their esrb rating.

I had a reason not specified in the last question. (What's the most important factor when choosing physical or download retail?)

We sill play NES games after all these year. We can pop them into a retcon 5 if we wanted to with no problem if our original NES died. I have Oregon trail on my DSi. It was one of the few games I couldn't transfer to my new 3DS xl. Because of the way eShop purchases are tied to hardware as soon as that DSi dies so does that copy/licence for that game. Even if I were to get another DSi Both would have to be operational to transfer the game. I'm pretty sure Nintendo wont fix it at this point either if it were to die.

I was happy when the Wii U was backwards compatible because my Wii disc drive was sounding like a band saw. I know that disc drive wouldn't last forever and with that transfer all my DLC went with it to the newer Wii U. I have Digital purchases from my Wii and the eShop on there. I can't know if they will move it all forward again. If my Wii U dies then those licence will die with it too.

We may be able to play old NES game today but will we be able to play Wii U games 20 years from now? Even though I have a digital copy of Pikman 3 on my Wii U, and considering they are making us pay for virtual console games on my 3ds that I already baught for my wii and paid to upgrade to my Wii U I believe that I will have to pay for pikman 3 on the future virtual console.

In 20 years my digital purchases will die on what ever hardware they came on and I will have to rebuy them again. My physical disc can transfer to another system if it dies.

There is a problem with this. A sports fan wont buy the NX after seeing the support EA has given Nintendo in the past. EA will also have to support a console fully before a sports fan can trust that EA wont pull out again.

Right now I can trust that Activision will support the NX because they supported the Wii U. I know that an Ubisoft game has a good chance at coming out because they did release a few titles even if some were late to the party. At this point even if Nintendo were to do this I believe that we will get one token EA title again and they will bail because the sales wont be there because sports fans cant trust EAs continual support.

I also have large hands and even playing on easy is annoying. I have an easier time hitting the other row of buttons and Im not about to switch hands.

Some how I don't think Nintendo can keep up with all the amiibo. We are at the point where it is no longer feasible to produce a game that uses them in a similar style to any other toys to life brand. This game is not bring in a wind up toy model based on the amiibo you tap due to how many there are. I cant see a game supporting all the figures and cards. There are going to be 400 ac cards. The only game that can support this is a new animal crossing game and all we got was a party game. In ac I can only see the figures being nothing more then trophy models. They would more likely be fortune cookies from nook with no model in game.

I believe that it was an accident. There are only so many combination of notes/rhythms that I'm sure that most of them are in use.

If it can run windows 95 then it should be able to run windows 98.

They remade Xenoblade Chronicles and Donkey Kong Country Returns for the 3ds. I want Galaxy on the 3DS.

They should be running the Nintendo Network on a few 3DSs. I here those things are pretty stable.

There is no need for newer hardware yet. As far as sales numbers are concerned how many people own more then one 3ds. There is 5 here between my wife and myself. Those numbers are padded just like the DS.

I think they should have left Club Nintendo intact until they were ready to cut over. There have been a lot of games that have come out since then that we could have gotten rewards for and registered.

While Valhalla Movie Pictures and Valhalla Game Studio may be different names they are still going to be too similar since people will tend to use one word.

Think about Nintendo. We call it that even when referring to Nintendo of America or Nintendo Of Europe.

I'm pretty sure in conversation Valhalla Game Studio has be referred to as Vahalla.

I have one problem with buying outfit for Miis. Im not going to buy outfits for every single game that gets released. On the Wii they wanted to integrate Miis in everything and they should have done the same with their outfits. You unlocked a Mii outfit in MK8 great, unlocked a hat in street pass for the 3DS great, bought a premium outfit for SSB for either 3ds or Wii U thats nice too.

There are too many games that have Miis. If they really want to monitize it then make it a cross plateform wardrobe.

The Hire a hero is not a cash grab as you rent them using in game currency. it is not a micro transaction.

The problem with hire a hero is you cannot rent vehicles or tools for 30 seconds as well. You may hire Chell use the portal gun but then when you come across the portal button you will not be able to press it as it is unique to the companion cube. That is the catch.

Also there are Bugs with the Wii U version it seem that prevents a person from time warping from the Victorian London very early on in the Dr. Whoo level pack. I currently can get past there and it completely locks up the Wii U When I try to get past it.

I think EA has no reason to try the NX again. The damage is done so to speak. They have 2 near Identical plate forms in the PS4/XBone and PS3/XB360 for a very long time. People have also gone use to owning either a PS/XB, PC and a Nintendo Console. Out of all the major third party publishers out there the only one I have any respect for is Activision as they seem to be the only one willing to support Nintendo at the same as the others. Ubisoft is erratic at best.

I personally don't care about EA at all.

One thing Patcher forgot. The Nintendo account Will allow you to sign in with things like facebook. Nintendo life already pointed out that "Nintendo wants to make it easier for users to create and use these accounts, so users will be able to register with their Nintendo Network ID, Facebook, Twitter, Google, email, and possibly many more."

This means that Nintendo may not need to compete with facebook if it works with it.

First problem with this app is it feels like a cross between truth and dare without the dare and a forum with topics like what would you change an why ect.

Second problem with this app is that people have retracted a bit on facebook over the year not trusting this kinda release of personal information. There are a lot of negativity and social media post that cost people greatly in the long term. If Nintendo can get passed that then yes it may succeed.

In the case of little mac and marth that is only the case in the states and not canada. Over the summer canada's restock and release dates no longer coincide. Little Mac was never restocked here. Marth was restocked over the summer here and unfortunately I was too busy working and missed it.

While you may argue that even one off of ebay still counted as a sale for Nintendo and they got their money from it anyway imagine a kid wanting a particular amiibo and instead of his parents getting him a couple they only get him that one due to cost. That means nintendo would have still made that one sale but the lost the other 2 potential sales.

Ebay and scalpers only shows how nintendo screwed up on that. Most amiibo only see shelf space for they day they are launched or a couple of days after. I know that not all 4 million users are going to buy all 50 characters. At the same time there are applications for other games and other series.

Mega Yarn Yoshi came out in Canada as a toys r us exclusive with anywhere between 6 to 12 per location. Our city has 3 locations and they were sold out in minutes. That is about 30 total.

There are about 40,000 people subscribed to the amiibo subreddit trying to track them all down and that is 2 million potential units right there alone not including other series. There are others like myself who are not subscribed who read it regularly to get the info to track them down.

Yes buying them all on ebay is stupid but people are willing too and that is money Nintendo is loosing.

21 million seems pretty low. Smash alone is 4.03 million on the Wii u and with the initial 50 character roster that was a potential 200 million which I know is unrealistic. Not everyone will buy all the character. this does not include the portable version that has 7 million in sales or other series of amiibo.

Also the 21 million does not specify if the animal crossing cards are included in these numbers because they are technically amiibo. They could also be padding the numbers.

The only problem I have with Digital games is you are still at the mercy of the server provider. When the new console comes out will we have the wii u virtualized on that system in the way that the Wii is on the Wii U. If not and when that hardware becomes discontinued and there is no more support from Nintendo what do you do when your hardware dies and your eShop can no longer be transferred from the Dead device.

Right now I have a DSi XL that has Origon Trail on it and it was a non transferable game to the 3DS. As soon as that Handheld dies that licence dies with it.

I do agree with the price points being similar to retail being an issue. I think the stupidest case is the Starcraft 2 Collectors vs the digital Deluxe. Same price, same content digitally but the the collectors had the art book and audio cd that did not come with the Digital Deluxe.
