Re: Random: Here's What The Nintendo Switch Looks Like Next To Valve's Steam Deck

RCGamer

@huyi if you're not bothered with anti-glare I think the 64GB is the best choice, then upgrade the SSD by yourself. Ok, we're not sure how difficult it'll be, but I'm pretty sure it won't be rocket science. Probably we'll see a teardown in December and see how to do this. With a little more than 530 dolars you should be able to buy a 64GB version and a 1TB SSD. I'm a little worried with the length of the NVMe Slot (I read people saying it will be 2230 only) but we'll see it. I'm not intend to buy before winter 22 (summer for you, I'm Brazilian)

Re: Soapbox: In Praise Of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Two Years On

RCGamer

I liked the idea of children used in Awakening and Fates and thought it was a mistake to kill it. But this way ls indeed much better. I like the feel of accomplishment of saw ALL the dialogues in three houses (not yet really, but I'm close, someday I'll finish it). In Fates and Awakening I would needed to play almost the same game thousands of times to accomplish the same thing.

Re: 3DS System Update 11.15.0-47 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

RCGamer

@Anti-Matter with a installed CFW after I can use it to backup my digital games and extract DS games (than I discover it's possible to install and make they look like a original 3DS game, with it own icon, that's wonderful for me). CFW is like a fail-safe for who prefer digital. It's risky someday Nintendo make a update that anyone will bother to crack and after the servers are close, if anything happens with your console, you will lost everything, the official backup only work on the same console. That way I'd may be able to buy other system and install everything again, even my backed up savegames. It's not my case, but for who like to play games that the language is a wall, you can install a language patch on your games. There are a lot of "joys" with CFW, even without going to piracy

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Hopes To Avoid Switch's Joy-Con Drift Issues

RCGamer

Drift is a hell, but at least it's "only" on the controller, you can use a spare Controller until you fix or spend 80 bucks for another one. Steam deck don't use detached controllers, if it drift you can use spare, but to send to a costumer service you need to send the controller itself or buy other console (at least 399 bucks). Yes, it should be incomparable worst if Steam Deck drift

Re: Nintendo Plugs Its NSO Zelda Games Ahead Of Skyward Sword HD's Release

RCGamer

@Heavyarms55 not even in heaven Nintendo would give us N64 or later (home) or DS or later (portable) anytime soon, even dream with that should be a mortal sin for them.

GB/GBC/GBA on the other hand should be here a long time ago. NES, SNES and GB/GBC/GBA first party titles should be a complete collection and even include japan only titles (even if they put in original language).

Other thing (that's I'm sure I'll neve get) is the possibility to put .ips files at the card and use fans's translations

Re: Talking Point: Why Metroid Dread Will Be Worth $60

RCGamer

I'll happily pay for it and would pay another 50 for Samus Returns HD remaster (using Miitopia as a exemple of 3DS remasters) and other 60 for Other M Remaster and other 60 for Prime Collection HD (including prime trilogy and Hunters). Now just put GBA with Zero Mission and Fusion in NSO and everything is perfect for a Metroid Fan

Re: Metroid Games You Need To Play Before Metroid Dread

RCGamer

"If I only play one Metroid game, which should I play?" I would not recommend NES/GB versions. But before answer I would ask: what do you seeking?

If you're seeking the origin, Zero Mission
If you're seeking the "feeling", Super Metroid
If you're seeking a closer gameplay, Samus Returns
If you're seeking the closer in plot, Fusion

But I really recommend play them all, even Other M and Prime series (including Hunters), only not Pinball, Federation Forces and NES/GB

Re: Where To Pre-Order The Limited Edition Zelda: Skyward Sword Joy-Con

RCGamer

I would buy it, but a regular joycon costs 100 dolars in Brazil and this one cost almost 200 dolars (and extremely hard to find). It's easier to buy a regular one and the shell at Aliexpress (some retailers sells original shells, probably they buy directly from the shell supplier). There are a PC software to edit how the console identify the colors too, changing it in the joy-con firmware.

Re: Video: Meet The Hori Flex, A Nintendo Switch Controller Built With Accessibility In Mind

RCGamer

It's better than nothing, but unfortunately it's too expensive. It's not only the controller, you need to add adaptive buttons. I don't know, I think it shouldn't be that expensive DYI this using a original Controller's PCB. I live in Brazil and videogames here are expensive, even in a standard version. If a father need to buy the console and this controller it'll be almost unpayable. If he could take the Controller and mod in something like this, the buttons themselves are easier (and more affordable) to get.

Re: Talking Point: How Good Are You At Games?

RCGamer

It's hard to tell. I don't play any kind of multiplayer since local multiplayer on N64 (I was really good at ISS, won some local retailers' tournaments). The games I try I'm good enough to finish in any difficult but I know it's not a good standard to use

Re: Rumour: Switch Pro To Offer 'Surface-Style' Tabletop Flap, USB 3.0 And Ethernet Connectivity

RCGamer

I really really hope for a build-in wireless connection with the dock, then we can play with 2 screens (the dock would support 4k upscale while docked and 1080p while wireless connected). A second screen (for handheld/tabletop) would be awesome (even if sold separately), but seems to be impossible

I hope for a NVMe port instead of a MicroSD, but it's seems to be impossible too.

Bluetooth headphones support should be awesome, but nothing talks about this specifically

A bigger storage seems to be logical, but nothing talks about this specifically

So, if the leaks (from more trustful leakers) are true we'll get OLED bigger screen (similar body, for joy-con compatibility, some say same resolution, some 900p and others 1080p), 4k upscale (docked), better processor/RAM (I heard something between PS4 Standard and PS4 Pro but I more willing to believe between Xbox One and PS4 Standard or slight better than PS4 Standard), better kickstand, build-in Ethernet port and probably bigger internal storage (wome say 64GB, some 128GB). That's enough for me. I'll buy it.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise Version 3.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

RCGamer

@puddinggirl @Dm9982 in fact I was wrong. I did talk to the cat, but I did before and he only told me he have something important to say. I thought it would be in the chest, but it wasn't. Now everything is fine. The only thing I still don't ger it is when I accepted the talisman I received a message saying it was assigned to this character. The content is for one time only, if I restart playing I'll lose the bonus?

Re: Hardware Review: PowerA Fusion Pro - A Customisable Pro Controller Rival With A Steep Price

RCGamer

I don't understand why third party companies don't make controllers with HD Humble and NFC. Is it patented?

Anyway, for me it's unexcusable no rumble at all, specially with this price tag. For me it doesn't make any sense the 3.5mm without wireless, the "incredible long controller cable" is easily swapable with a "incredible even longer 3.5mm cable" to use directly on the Switch.

I really into the idea of buying a real "Pro" controller (with the pads, interchargeble thumbs...), but it need to have at least standard rumble, ideally HD Rumble and NFC.

Anyway, I didn't like the SN30 Pro Plus (I bought to swap between systems and it's not as natural as it should be) but I already bought the SN30 Pro 2 and waiting for it.
