Re: Gallery: Nintendo Reflects On Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Ahead Of The Final Fighter Reveal

RCGamer

I'd that the last character should be first party, but I can't think in a first party character that isn't in Smash that would really deserve to be the last. It could be a Dread related character or thay could go insane and put something like the Moon of Termina or Master/Crazy Hand but idk, they don't seems as cool as it should be. Supposing they won't break their rule of the character need to born from videogames, I think it's safe to say it will be third party or a totally original characters. I already face the truth: regardless who it will be, I won't be satisfied. There are so many characters that I want to see (like one from Mortal Kombat, Lara, Ryu Hayabusa, Sora, Dante, Master Chief, Conker, Rayman, Altair, Sam Fisher, Duke, Doomguy, Cranky Kong...) That without a Pass 3 I'll be frustrated

Re: Random: Nintendo Direct Announcement Sends Smash Bros. Final DLC Fighter Speculation Into Overdrive

RCGamer

I really don't believe Nintendo will use as the last Smash Ultimate character ever a third party one. It will be a first party (that could be anything, a Gen8 Pokemon, a stand alone Pikmin, the Termina's moon, Sakurai itself...) or they will release a season pass 3 sometime

Sakurai itself should be cool, but after he complained about be a meme, i really doubt he will let it happen

Re: Nintendo 'Blockbuster' Sale Discounts Hundreds Of Switch Games (Europe)

RCGamer

@Meteoroid everytime I got a third party at full price on a Nintendo Platform, I regret it. It always have a discount before I dive into the game, sometimes it even a price drop.

The only case I did recently and didn't regret was Persona 5 Strikers. But that's because I bought in Mexico's eShop and It is something like 35% lower than the rest of the world. I don't imagine an explanation for this, but I notice it with this game and Darksiders 2.

Re: Nintendo 'Blockbuster' Sale Discounts Hundreds Of Switch Games (Europe)

RCGamer

@Meteoroid @nhSnork @Whitestrider I think the Nintendo's price policy is good for them. When I see a game that I want, I almost never get it at full price, unless if it comes from Nintendo, because I know it'll take a lifetime to get 33% discount. First party games I buy at the first two moths (I'll preorder Metroid Dread and Advance Wars the day before the release, but I'm sure I'll get a good discount st Sparks of Hpe before at the third or fourth month) or I know I'll wait a year (at least) to get it (like I'm waiting for Nintendo's Detective Club). When people KNOW it won't drop (or will take a long time), there are little reasons to wait

Re: Random: Waluigi "Invites Himself" To Super Smash Bros. In This Emotional Fan-Made Trailer

RCGamer

I don't mind to Waluigi, but I liked the idea of him stealing the invitation from another character.

Now I'm imagining Dante (or Hyabusa, or Doomguy, Master Cheaf...) receiving the invitation and when everyone think it's the one (even showing gameplay), Waluigi steal it! And when everyone is thinking it's done (with gameplay too)... Sakurai himself take it and become a fighter! But in the end of the present Sakurai (the character) sit in his desk and make more two and the third-party one, Waluigi and Sakurai become fighters in a 3 character presentation when everybody would be ready for one

Re: Hardware Review: Can You Really "Make Your Own Switch Pro" With This $100 Dongle?

RCGamer

I saw in a friend's house and I think it makes visible results. But it's not for me, I play almost completely in handheld mode. I prefer to upgrade my V1 switch to a OLED.

By the way, when I update to 13.0.0 and saw the "dock update" I immediately thought about this gadget. Nobody take one in hands and open it yet. Maybe, just maybe, could Nintendo made something like this inside the dock and didn't tell it yet to not suppress V2 sales until OLED release? I think it's perfectly doable in the form factor.

Re: Talking Point: Was The GameCube Really A Portable Console In Disguise?

RCGamer

I never truly play any home system on the go, but I carried my Wii U for some places where I knew it wouldn't have tv, but would have a working electric plug. For example, an ex-girlfriend of mine went to France (Rennes) for a year and I visited her for almost 45 days. She couldn't be all the time with me (she was working on her PHD) them I bring my Wii U with me to play while I waited for her

Re: Platinum Would "Definitely" Port Star Fox Zero To Switch, If Given The Opportunity

RCGamer

I really enjoyed this game, I finished it totally in gamepad mode.

I think the major problem is people thinking that you really need 2 screens and pay attention in both. Even all the promotion videos show that way. But if you forget that and focus on one screen (you can change what you are seen on it) you probably enjoy it much more.

I played this without a TV and for me it was the best Star Fox ever!

Re: Talking Point: If Nintendo Switch Online Adds Game Boy, Why Not Throw In GBA, Too?

RCGamer

Like I said before, no hupe for GB/GBC. I'll happily play both Zelda Oracles, maybe Metorid 2 (I finished Samus Returns on the 3DS), but that's it. I'd be much more hyped for Minsh Cap, Zero Mission, Fusion and both Fire Emblem (although I'm not sure if I'd finished both Fire Emblem). Mario vs DK and Mario & Luigi are great games too, and I'm talking about First parties only, assuming Castlevania games would come in a proper collection

Re: Hands On: PowerA's Spectra Controller For Switch Is A Light Show With A Catch

RCGamer

A wired controller is completely out of question since 2005.

Is It too much to ask a wireless controller with gyro, HD Rumble, NFC, extra buttons (for programing, like Xbox Elite) extra thumbsticks (like the Xbox Elite), good battery (like Switch Pro Controller), standard shape/size buttons (to use Extremerate's button sets), different profiles (like 8BitDo SN30 Pro 2), durable materials and a clip for the Switch with a reasonable price?
