Re: The Switch N64 Controller Doesn't Play Nice With Everything, For Now

RCGamer

@Anti-Matter I think 99% of people agree with you (including myself), but many times it's not about personal preferences about the layout, the devs made the controls to match that design and a simple"remapping" fells off. Games that use the yellow buttons for camera don't work well with a 4 face buttons controller, for exemple. Zelda we have the layout on screen, it's fell a little odd see something and hit another.

Re: Niantic's Pokémon GO-Style Pikmin Smartphone Game Now Has A Name

RCGamer

@thiz understand, but Metroid Prime Trilogy for Switch we don't know if it's even exist. There is an article here in Nintendo Life where someone how work on Metroid Prime 3 told he thinks it's very unlikely they ever port it. In Pikmin case I don't believe they're holding this as a comple game for so Long time. It become something else or restart and someone should told us about it.

Re: Niantic's Pokémon GO-Style Pikmin Smartphone Game Now Has A Name

RCGamer

@Meteoroid I don't exactly agreed, but I think the plans change somehow and that game become something else or they simply dropped. Anyway, it wasn't a rumor, it's told by him. He should go public and explain.

@thiz completely different stories. Metroid Prime Trilogy was told in (many) rumors, Pikmin 4 was told by Miyamoto himself.

Re: Talking Point: How Many Hours Is A 'Short' Game For You?

RCGamer

For me it's not about time directly, but about joy. I'm almost 45 hours in Dread (according the console profile, not the game saves) and I play my first playthrough in 19hrs (save game) with 100%, my second was 3:49 on hard and I was thinking it would be enough, but I miss the between 4 and 8 hours under 4 hours arts (both in normal mode) because I assumed they would be included in my Under 4 on Hard. Happily it's not and I'm playing again. It it was a larger game I was thinking twice before that (like I'm still thinking in 3 Houses for my Golden Deer Playthrough)

Re: Random: Uh-Oh, Nintendo's Switch Online 'Expansion Pack - Overview Trailer' Is Generating A Lot Of Dislikes

@BlackenedHalo
"NSO + N64 + Sega Pack: $29.99
NSO + Both Expansion Packs + Animal Crossing DLC: $49.99"

It doesn't make sense, you're paying 20 dollars yearly for a 25 expension.

I think it would work if it's not exactly a AC DLC but a bunch like a "season pass premium" that work with all Nintendo games, you won't need to buy a first party DLC anymore if you use the NSO DLC Expansion

I remember something, there is a Brazilian YouTuber especiallized on Nintendo "Coelho No Japão" that show us yesterday something interesting:

The japonese reception is not that bad and probably thay will upgrade. Now with Furukawa Nintendo is looking only to the japonese market reception even more than other times, so probably they won't cool down the price if we reject it

Re: Talking Point: Do You Have A 'Way' You Play Certain Switch Games?

RCGamer

The best exwmple ever of "need to play on tv" is Ring Fit Adventures (or any fitness/dancing game).

I usually play "portable at home", but there are very few times that I play on tv. I planning to play both Resident Evil revelations and Skyward Sword docked (I already have both, but only play a few minutes) but I may do this with a neck support

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Price?

RCGamer

@NEStalgia "For a family membership, required for multiple users on one machine" completely nonsense. I only have my personal account and I'm in a 8 people plan, I never send any information (besides my email) and never even met them, only talked with the administrator on the day we close the deal (and mow today, to be sure we won't upgrade)

That's not mean it's worth it. It's not! This price is ridiculously skyhigh

Re: This Metroid Dread Boss Fight Trick Shows The Devs Knew You'd Break The Game

RCGamer

@Aqueous yeah, we have options to do the things different, but it's still bother me how the direct you to the "right" route. I miss the felling of "get lost" from the others, specially before Fusion. I didn't get lost anytime (and I already found the last boss, I only took other direction to search for 100%). The items, though, they did a very good job making us backtracking them if we want the 100%

Re: This Metroid Dread Boss Fight Trick Shows The Devs Knew You'd Break The Game

RCGamer

Metroid's games I always play at least 2 times. The first time, no rush, searching for 100% by myself (finishing this, probably today, approximately 20 hours by now). The second playthrough, though, I try the best ending possible, so I do my best to get information how to do the things faster and a fast route (not necessarily "the fastest", this one usually is too advance to do in a second time). Them I maybe fulfill the others endings

Re: Soapbox: 10 Reasons Why Metroid Fusion Is The Best Game In The Series

RCGamer

6 - after Samus Returns, I disagree. Samus Returns is now the best 2D gameplay at the series (at least until Dread). SR is magic for me: it's not the best game in the series because it's bonded with a very poor original material, but at the same time it's really impressive how they were able to upgrade that piece of crap. My hype with Dread is skyhigh because now this development team has a completely new game to put all ideas on it, I saw a high potencial with Samus Returns (which is a great game itself)

Re: Video: Metroid Dread's Latest Commercial Puts An EMMI In This Poor Woman's Lounge

RCGamer

@UmbreonsPapa because her 35 years story was made as a blonde woman. She is a ICON and ICONS' flags are they image. Whey you change the flag, you narrow how far they can go, as you change the way people remember her. Some people don't bother with Metroid in decades, it's easier to the remember the character and think "hey, I had fun with that before! Is it still worth it?" Then see a complete different character (at least the image of the character) and think "who is that?, Nah, forget it". There is zero benefits when change the ethnicity/gender of characters, they need new characters to do that. They can even kill the original and make the new a sucessor

Re: Video: Metroid Dread's Latest Commercial Puts An EMMI In This Poor Woman's Lounge

@hypercoyote I'm not. These robots seems to be designed to do that, so they probably research ways to do that. I believe that maybe the federation is trying to kill her because she knows too much and they had access to her technology when she was infected. They could been researching for replicate the technology (which could be very difficult due the DNA binding), and a way to fight it (that they apply in these robots). Meaning: they sent her to a trap
