Re: Feature: 24 Game Boy Advance Games We'd Love To See Added To Nintendo Switch Online

For me it's perfect if it have both Fire Emblem, both Metroid and Minish Cap. A Biding Blade translation would be more the perfect, but knowing Nintendo it seems impossible. Mario vs DK, Golden Sun series, boktai series, Sword of Mana, FFTA are great too. Advance Wars I'll buy the remake, Castlevania I already have the collection and Mario & Luigi I prefer the remake.

But there is another point of view:

I prefer Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft get even bigger buying studios until the point there is no other big team, only indie developers.

In this way, there will be no pressure from thirdies, we won't see a Ubi or EA claiming for a new generation because they will be in a bigger conglomerate. The companies (specially Sony and MS) could think by their selves when make their consoles because their not competing with each other to get support from thirdies, the studios will produce the games that their owners ask. So, if you like Final Fantasy, you'll need to buy a Sony console, if you prefer FIFA, a MS console, or it you want to play games from Bandai, a Nintendo console and every company will project their consoles with their own resources in mind.

@Morph I agree, but it still honorable. Yes, very smart, but They could easily delayed and use the Kickstarter campaign as a insurance. No reasonable person would complaining that much knowing about the silicon shortage.

With this way they did, they have the proof they need to show it's a profitable product, happy costumers base and a marketing campaign. Everybody wins

Re: Best Of 2021: Retro Nintendo Games Cost Too Much, But Nostalgia Is Expensive

That's why I'm ok with retro emulation (in cases that the company doesn't release digitally). This money won't go for the rightful owners of the IP, there is no indication that I'm into they're product and I want a remake/sequel/reboot.

I think every company should let us buy digitally their games to show them our support and don't need to search them in the "shadows" of the internet

Re: Random: In An Alternate Reality, Sega Published Pokémon

I don't know. The way Sega and Nintendo works were too different that time. I think things would developed very different into a very different product. I'm not sure if it would be a game changer for Sega's consoles, but things could get ugly for Nintendo because Pokemon was probably the main success for portable and without that success things would be more difficult many times, specially at the Wii U era

Re: Feature: 14 Wii Games That Deserve Switch Ports

My favorite Wii port/remaster/remake would be Radiant Dawn (even better in a collection with Path of Radiance). But MadWorld, TvsC (a new entry would be better) and Sin& Punishment 2 would be great too. I'm not a fan of Galaxy, but I'd buy as a DLC for 3D All-Stars (after all, of there's missing one star it's not "All-Star", right?)

Re: Talking Point: Will Nintendo Abandon The Switch Concept For Its Next Console?

RCGamer

I don't believe Nintendo will totally drop the "Switch Formula". It may add some gimmick (VR? Second screen? hologram? Idk), but the hybrid system is a must in my point of view. In a interview they said that the idea of join the handheld and console teams was the best thing they ever done, because they have only one system to develop games. It's still true and I don't think they'll drop any front or divide the team again (and had less games per system).

What I want to see in the next hybrid are retrocompatibility and 4k capable when physically docked (even if it's through any upscale technique) but have wireless dock connection too, then we can use the system itself as a Wii U gamepad (of course it's different: Wii U process at the tv station and send to the gamepad, this system should process at the handheld and send to the tv station). A optional second screen (like a book cover for the "tablet") would let us play with 2 screens on the go (yes, I'm thinking about DS Online app)

Oh, total compatibility with controllers (at least wireless) and a new "handheld controller" with less drift problems
