Re: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Sells 500,000 Copies Worldwide On Nintendo Switch

@Paraka I think it's all about perspective. For Xenoverse 2, half a million sales is fantastic for an old port of a third-party game that wasn't marketed that much. ARMS on the other hand, that's a brand new Nintendo exclusive that intended to reach the heights of Splatoon in terms of popularity. 1 million units sold is no small achievement, sure. But it's not quite reaching the lofty expectations Nintendo and fans have expected it to post-launch. Which I can assume is why Nintendo is dropping support for it so early.

@SomeWriter13 I can definitely relate to that feeling. But I wouldn't say that's only limited to Let's Plays' though.

When it comes to demos, they can either motivate me to buy a game or tire me out of the gameplay quickly. Nintendo tries to negate this feeling by setting trial limits, but that doesn't do the trick all the time.

@AlternateButtons Fans aren't gonna suppress their artistic expression just because Nintendo puts down their projects. That's one reason why I believe Nintendo going after these kinds of things is pointless.

Re: Check Out the Tag Team Gameplay of Sonic Forces

The biggest problem with the Sonic franchise is that, both SEGA and fans alike, don't know what they want from a new Sonic game.

Experimental titles like Sonic Lost World stirred the pot among fans, as it wasn't building on the well-received foundation of Colors and Generations. SEGA decides to return to that format with Forces, but the complaints persist.

Something similar has happened with the Mario Party franchise. Before Mario Party 9, fans were begging for more original and inventive ideas for the series. When Nd Cube was put in charge of Mario Party, they brought change to the table. But now fans want the original formula back.

Re: Soapbox: The SNES Classic Edition Pre-Order Farce Proves Nintendo Hasn't Learned A Thing

@BLP_Software I don't think people are complaining about Xbox One X preorders being gone because they know that demand inevitably will be met. That's not the case with Nintendo. Many of their own hardware products as of late have been sold out easily. . Many will call this practice underproduction to build up hype and demand, but Nintendo has denied this on multiple occasions. If this practice isn't to blame, than what is? No one can confidently say that Nintendo didn't see this coming after what happened with the Switch and NES Classic.

@westman98 I know that. I was just saying there's always an excuse for why Nintendo can't properly supply something. Whether it be amiibo, the Wii U at launch, the Switch, or the NES Classic. Something's fishy.
@BLP_Software I don't really know how these scalpers and/or bots work. Regardless, Nintendo should have known the demand for the SNES Classic would be high, no matter who buys the system. The whole deal is such a mess.

Re: Review: Cars 3: Driven to Win (Switch)

@Moms-Meowth It's a movie tie-in, so I doubt there will be a patch incoming (that would be a nice accommodation for Switch owners though).

Yet, I feel like both sides had their problems. Nintendo didn't have dev kits until months before the Switch's release, which meant developers like Avalanche had less time to port their game to the new platform. Add on to the fact that Avalanche just reopened as a studio this past January, which means this game had mere months of development time on all platforms. I'll bet it was quite a predicament.
