Who would disagree with him really? Miyamoto has been aggressively streamlining his game ideas as of late. He presently aims for more homogeneous, formulated structures rather than the ambitious. Examples of course being Star Fox Zero and the last two Paper Marios. Thankfully, he seems to be allowing new developers to reign free for Super Mario Odyssey. So that's a good sign.
@nacho_chicken From what kind of gaming sites exactly? Nintendo -based gaming news sites, or broader ones like IGN and Gamespot? Because if it's the former, of course it would get positive rep. Ninty fans are very forgiving.
If people haven't tried the Cars 2 videogame yet, I'd highly recommend it. After seeing the disappointing movie that it accompanies, I was actually suprisingly impressed by how much fun I had with it. It's similar to Mario Kart, but with shooter elements added to the mix. There's even a fun battle/mission mode attached to it.
So in short? Don't dismiss this game just because it's Cars-based. Avalanche knows what they're doing.
I've noticed that the Wii U has a hard time running open world games for some reason. First Xenoblade X and now this. Heck, I bet that's why Playtonic cancelled Yooka Laylee's Wii U port: they couldn't get the game working on it in time for a sensible release date.
@ThanosReXXX To be fair, he isn't the only dev to back away from the Wii U despite making promises to (cough*SlightyMadStudios*cough). Besides, I doubt this kind of person would go back and promise one of his games was hitting a Nintendo system. More likely the opposite will occur.
@ThanosReXXX I don't really care about the kind of person he is. Randy Pitchford, regardless of his demeanor or practices, is a pretty reputable source. Plus, given Nintendo's uneven third-party relationships in the past, I have no reason to believe likewise.
@therealgamer But what about Gearbox? From what I've seen, the Borderlands property is a pretty big deal. It's a shame that Nintendo fans have to (yet again) miss out on great modern series like this one.
It wasn't a grand blowout of info like E3 2014 or the Smash Wii U Presentation, but it was still worthwhile. They got the message out, and now they need to keep it up.
Is there a reason why Nintendo didn't consider cloud storage? Not only is it cheaper, but you get way more space than ever (I use the OneDrive, and I have 1 terabyte of storage for free).
@MitchVogel I mean, the developer even said that the Wii U version was doubtful at this point. Definitely a sign moreso than an official confirmation. But I'm guessing that it's the latter.
I swear, people defend Nintendo on everything. Creating a mobile game that doesn't fit the basic mobile module is a stupid decision. So what if people are complaining that the game isn't free? Pokemon Go is free, and I don't see Nintendo or Niantic losing money. And it's not like that game bombards you with ads like most mobile titles. Mario Run could have easily gone the same route.
And the fact that Nintendo has no intention of releasing free updates to a $10 game with only 20+ levels rather baffles me. This is the kind of logic you'd use for a handheld or console game. Not for the casual mobile market.

If not now, I hope Nintendo GameCube coming to the Virtual Console at E3. I've been waiting for that since the Wii U.

Nintendo has called it a home console. Therefore, I see it as a home console.
