Seriously I've not played the game the original run but not a week goes back where that title thing goes through my head. Thank goodness for Nintendo Music!

This is great. I could probably fork out for 4 new pro controller 2s but they don’t seem like a huge upgrade.

This is an easy skip for me. We've put a dozens of hours in to Jamboree (which is about 5 games /s) but we don't care for motion control games.

There's a lot to love in this direct. I was disappointed we didn't see anything from Microsoft but overall it didn't need it.

I'm confused as to why they're releasing Kirby AirRiders and Mario Kart World. Do we need two racers even if they're quite different. I'm really looking forward to Mario Kart World and I'm glad AirRide fans get a sequel.

DK Bonanza came out of nowhere but I love the character they've added to this game. Looks like it could be really special.

I'm happy we're getting GameCube games for Switch Online. I'm already looking forward to laughing at how bad I'll be at F-Zero GX. Playing Wind Waker again will be welcome even if the second half is a bit underbaked.

The Switch 2 is an Xbox.

Honestly? There’s a slight off chance I cave and get Metroid Prime 4 but outside of that nothing.

I don’t think any game needs a paid upgrade. This isn’t like the Wii U where most people didn’t play these games.

I gave it a 7 because it was honestly better than I expected. Nothing much for me but it was cool to see Witchbrook back from the dead.

@Pickettfury This app won't give us rumors and speculation. I think Nintendo Life is just fine.

If you can squint some of the monsters look like Pokémon but overall I’d say this is oozing with gen 1 charm. The battles are clearly different.

I hope they are successful.

Probably a classic Pokémon Center that or Pallet Town.

Nothing for me. I'd love the the classic games to be available digitally. Physical copies are an absolute minefield; dead batteries or fake carts. Not to mention the price gouging. No thanks!

If I trade in my Switch how am I supposed to chuck it in the draw once the Switch 2 comes out?

@WhiteUmbrella actually I liked their comment because I agree with them. I do believe the message you’re trying to convey will happen but I didn’t care for how you delivered. A spoonful of sugar helps medicine go down, y’know?

Also I’m super concerned about AI usage I’m really concerned we as people will lose agency and so many skills along the way. I think there are benefits but overall when we look back we’ll wonder if it was all worth it for what we’ve as a society have given up. Creativity, critical thinking, heck even thinking will all be lost. Why even learn maths if you’re going to ask AI to do it for you?

Sure “skynet” or whatever will be bad but by that point we’ll have lost who we are as people. You only have to look at how much society has gained and lost since the introduction of smartphones and the internet. AI will be so much worse.

I’ve been playing the Lonely Mountain games on Steam but my wife has been itching for some Mario Party. So I guess we’ll be playing a couple of games of that at least this weekend.

@anoyonmus you should probably play Hollow Knight though. It’s a fantastic game. Silksong won’t change that.

I’m mostly playing Pioneers of Pagonia on Steam. It’s pretty great.

Also Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, Mario Party Jamboree and Mario Tennis Aces on the Switch as our Family gaming night options.

Oh no… I swore off buying LEGO but I’ll be back for this.

I hope the screen has the ability to apply different graphics. I’d love to be able to replace it to evoke different games. Obviously it won’t be the same resolution.

@SilvercatMoonpaw same. I’ll be going fully digital on switch 2 except for my old switch games.

I rarely buy physical. The main way or switch gets used is for family gaming nights. As mouse off or games are digital it makes switching games far easier. The odd game I do have physical is a real chore as we don’t switch physical carts too often.

If I'm not using the pro controller I'm not using my Switch.

@Magician how are you getting on with Core Keeper? I enjoyed Forager but didn’t find it had lasting appeal like Stardew.

Something else for me. Cat Quest III although my wife and I played it on Series X.

I think we’ll mostly be playing Unrailed 2: Back on Track via Steam. What a gem!

Order that I have two groups in my Switch which will get some action;

• Mario games
• Phone games

We’ll likely see Mario Party Jamboree on the big screen and possibly What the Dub!, Use Your Words or RiffTrax.

@Jack_Goetz another thing is can Nintendo market the switch 2 different enough to folks who don’t follow gaming news. Nintendo don’t want another Wii U scenario.

@Truegamer79 DK64 came out in a time when I still had the time and wanted to 100% my games. Mario Odyssey is definitely bad but I don't have the time or the care.

Actually in general I found Mario Odyssey to be incredibly underwhelming. The fact that it's the only 3D Mario game the Switch has gotten outside of Bowser's Fury is mind blowing.

I’ve loved Vampire Survivors updates but the Castlevania DLC hasn’t clicked with me yet. I’ve not had that problem before.

I guess Sunset Showdown is never going to get fixed. It's too easy to cheese that one of you have a smaller character by going to the edges where Banzai Bill can’t reach.

I love this app so much. I played Green Greens from Kirby’s Dream Land and was instantly taken back to childhood.

I just hope that the next Mario Kart fully embraces the Nintendo Kart idea. MK8D went some of the way there but if we got a Smash Bros style roster that would be amazing.
