I am a member of a family group Expansion Pack, so I only pay £7 per year, which is absolutely cracking value. However, if I'd paid £50, I wouldn't feel like what was offered on Switch 1 to be worth the money. However, add on GameCube games and NS2 upgrades then it's a steal. And it's only going to grow from here. I expect there will be a price rise around September but as long as I remain part of a family group, it should only be by a few quid.

Come on SEGA, give us a Mega CD/ 32X app. Followed by Saturn and Dreamcast.

@carlos82 Yep, Gameshare is a great new feature. Same goes for the ability to lend digital games to members of your family group. For all the stick Nintendo get for being greedy, these are consumer friendly moves.

As a big fan of HD Rumble, this is music to my ears. I was worried it was going to be much the same as it wasn't highlighted. After watching the Welcome Tour trailer again though, I noticed it was now called HD Rumble 2. So obviously improved.

When done right, I find HD Rumble adds another level of immersion. Zen Pinball is a good example. It feels like a ball is rolling.aroind inside the controller. From what I've read, PS5 has taken their haptics to a new level. So it would have been a sore one if Nintendo didn't do the same.

@Ogbert Yeah, I'm not sure why they wouldn't show that off, especially characters. There will surely be different arenas though. If so will the crowd be robots too?

It is a shame they never did more with ARMS. It sold a couple of million I think, so it wasn't a total flop but I imagine it hasn't sold much for the last 2 or 3 years. Imagine how popular it would be if they made it free to play for NSO members.

@BigRed40 I'm hoping what they've shown is just a tutorial stage, to show what it's all about. Surely it will have proper stadiums and character and chair customisation. Perhaps the robots shown in the trailer are just tutorial bots too and there will be actual characters. Though I'm not confident that'll be the case. I'd say it will just be robots. Cool stadiums and customisation can go a long way though to adding some colour.

@Friscobay ARMS is a superb game. By the looks of it, this is made by the ARMS team. I remember the reaction to it on here was pretty negative, yet I knew as soon as I saw it, I'd enjoy it. I get the same feeling with Drag x Drive. I'm a big fan of Rocket League, it's my most played game on Switch by far. Though I haven't played it for a year or so. And Speedball 2 is an all time favourite. I would love a new high quality futuristic sport game. I have faith this could be it.

While I'm happy to use the motion controls,.I do hope there's an option for normal controls too and that they don't make the game any less fun.

Edit - Thinking about it, it surely will have standard controls so it can be played in handheld mode.

If they do release an OLED down the line, it too will have had to come a long way, else it wouldn't feel like much of an upgrade over Switch 2's LCD, which doesn't feel like a downgrade over Switch 1's OLED.

They'll sell us a tutorial but they won't sell us themes.

@SearchingS I never thought of that. CDPR have a pretty good record at upgrading their games, so there's a pretty good chance it'll happen. TW3 is one of the few physical Switch games I own. I loved it but it could definitely do with an upgrade.

@Lord That would be the model I'd go for.£300 to 320 would be ideal price.

I have never seen 120fps in motion. I can only imagine how smooth it looks. I've got a decent TV so everything is going to look very nice .I hope 120fps performance mode is an common option for 1st party games. Especially Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. All those destruction particles in DK flying around at 120 frames will look incredible.

I only play on Switch and before that Wii U, so I've been stuck on PS3 Pro power for too long. Switch 2 will be a sizable leap for me.

@BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed It seems rumble has improved. It's now called HD Rumble 2. It was briefly mentioned in that tutorial game trailer.

I'm actually surprised by the graphical upgrade. It seems to have more juice than I expected. Everything looks so clean and silky smooth. Not a jaggy edge or flickering fence or window in sight, which makes me very happy.

Is the framerste for BOTW/ TOTK at 4K 120fps/ 1080 60fps?

Nintendo at its most miserly. I realise it cost money to make but surely they could have taken the hit on it.

I wonder if it'll become a million+ seller. I bet it does.

@BlackenedHalo These are sizable upgrades and free from Expansion Pack members. While games like Odyssey and Links Awakening will be upgraded free for everybody. I really don't think this is bad at all.

The upgrades are really great. I'll definitely make use them. I wonder if 120fps at 1080p will be possible?

The tutorial costs $80.

@BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed Yeah, I'm surprised they never mentioned anything about that. It makes me think there's not a major difference to HD Rumble. Surely they would have mentioned it if there is.

I'm surprised there isn't a choice of colours.

We never really got to see the UI or new themes? It did look like Basic White is an option again though.

@HammerKirby I bought a newer model of the Pro controller after my first one packed in and the D pad is a lot better than the launch one I bought. I can even play Tetris with it, which I couldn't do before.

Mario Odyssey with anti aliasing and improved lighting would be very welcome. New Donk City will look amazing without all the windows flickering.

If they hold 16gb/ 32gb it might not be too bad. Certainly better than a 100% download. Some Switch 2 games are going to be 64gb+.

I wonder if there will be a price difference between key cart and digital?

98% of my Switch collection is digital and I cant see that changing with Switch 2. So I am not as affected by the price rise. Hopefully the Donkey Kong price is the norm and the Mario Kart price is just for a few if the biggest games.

@Jarl76 For me, it seems to be a very sizable generational leap. Unlike the Switch. I am more than happy with what I've seen. I did not expect 120fps.

It was honestly a 10/10 for me. The power of the console has surprised me. Mario Kart looks incredible. Donkey Kong by the Odyssey team coming in July!!! Drag x Drive looks like it's by the ARMS team, which I loved, definitely interested.. GameCube!!! BOTW and TOTK upgrades are brilliant. Free upgrades for Expansion Pack owners. A possible exclusive by From Software. Bond by the Hitman devs. Amazing 3rd party support.

And does Arcade Archives Ridge Racer mean they're going to bring more 90's 3D games? Tekken, Soul Calibur? Possibly with online?

@gazamataz A promising start for Switch 2 racers. MK9, Kirby Air Race, F-Zero GX, Ridge Racer, FAST Fusion.

@sketchturner ARMS had normal controls so perhaps they can balance it. Or maybe there will be separate lobbies. Although that wouldn't be ideal.

It looks like it is from the ARMS team. I'm a big fan of Rocket League and ARMS was great. Definitely interested. Hopefully it has normal controls too. I'm sure it will.

Hopefully there's cool stadiums too. They never showed any.

I like how they just snuck Silksong in there. Blink and you miss it. It seems like it's definitely coming this year anyway.

The Switch 2 clearly has power. It's actually surpassed my expectations. A proper generational leap.

@N00BiSH The upgrade for both is free for Expansion Pack members. That's great. I hope that's the case for all the upgraded games.

Is it 30fps on PS4 and PS4 Pro?

I am genuinely shocked that it can do 120fps. I hoped for 4K but never even considered it would do 120fps.

I have not played too much Hitman but I know they're quality games. This is the perfect developer for a new style of Bond game.

If this is an exclusive, it's a huge win.

I look forward to reading what PushSqaure has to say.

@johnedwin Yeah you're probably right. I'm sure it'll look much more impressive once we get a proper look at it.

He was outstanding in The Doors movie. He looked and sounded so much like Jim Morrison.

I hope with Switch 2, they make it possible to play NSO games online with randoms. They could promote 2 or 3 different games every month, so it will be easy to find opponents. Or even if it's just always available for select NSO games like Super Mario Kart and Goldeneye.

@Dee123 It's true that it's not a huge seller but Dread did pretty well and I imagine having a Switch 2 Edition of MP4 at launch will ensure it becomes the best selling game in the series. We already know there will be Switch 2 Editions of some Switch games. Surely MP4 will be one of them.

After its initial reveal for Wii U, it became my most anticipated game. I absolutely loved the original on Wii but knew its world would be so much better to explore in HD. XCX looked incredible to me, exactly what I wished Chronicles looked like. I could not wait to play it. And when I finally did, I didn't enjoy it. I spent a lot of hours with it, gave up, started over again a while later and spent many more hours with it. But it never did click with me. It was such a disappointment to me that it put me off the series to the point I haven't bought any of the sequels. I'm sure I could get back into the series with XC3 or the remastered original but XCX was a sore point for me.

I just hope the console offers a sizeable jump in graphics power. What they showed us of the new Mario Kart has me a little worried that won't be the case.

I think the console's launch year is going to resemble the Switch launch. As in it'll be front loaded with a fair few big titles. 3D Mario, MK9, MP4, Splatoon 4, a new IP like Astral Chain and either a Zelda remaster or perhaps, just perhaps, a brand new Zelda.

@gazamataz A Sega Arcade Racing Collection has been one of my most desired games since the Switch launched. Almost everything I wanted for the console eventually arrived, except for that.

Gradius Origins was the highlight for me. I already own Gradius 1 and 2 and Salamander on Konami Arcade Classics but have never played Gradius 3 and Salamander 2. If this was the complete collection, I'd be tempted because they're getting the ShotTriggers treatment but including a brand new M2 developed Salamander takes this collection to the next level. I love when they make a brand new shmup sequel. GG Aleste 3 is SUPERB! They're working on 2 other Aleste games as well, Aleste Branch and Zaleste. Just learned about Zaleste 2 minutes ago.
And the new Night Striker too.

Hopefully the Chinese can convince Ubisoft to just concentrate on making great single player games like they used to, and drop all the nonsense that's become a part of modern western games.

Expected Super Soccer 2025, got Tamadotchi Life.

MP4 looks superb, as expected. But the highlight for me was Gradius Origins M2 ShotTriggers with Salamander 3. I didn't notice it was by M2 until I watched it back and was a little underwhelmed at the collection as I have most of these on the Arcade Collection. But seeing a brand new Salamander then realising it's by M2 and part of the ShotTriggers series, with all the bells and whistles, makes this one my most anticipated games.

Surely the most underwhelming 'one last thing' in Direct history. Some will have been happy with the news but come on now.
