You still would need to pay for a paywall that is still a laughable comedy of mistakes and errors like terrible netcode for Splatoon 3, among other things.

Like I said, I already have all the mp3 Nintendo OST folders and files that I'll ever need to enjoy locally on Spotify and enjoy so that I won't have to put up with a draining battery on a smartphone, among other things.

LOL pass. I have my mp3 folder files that I can listen to locally on Spotify. Plus it's a laughably awful paywall Nintendo is putting it behind and I ain't about that.

It's so exhausting seeing Big Man constantly win these holiday Fests. We GET it, you like a walking, talking forced meme that isn't even funny and you have the mentality of a child and refuse to grow up. At least the Frye fans don't behave like adult toddlers. It's time to just admit that 3-way battles were a massive mistake. I'm done, Fests in this game post-Grand Fest are just laughable garbage and mean nothing. They're nothing events and I'm exhausted of the lot of you Big Man folks that know nothing but acting like adult toddlers. Wake me up when they return to the two-idol format because Big Man will not be fondly remembered as anything but pure cringe.

Do you know how thrilled I am reading this particular patch note? Finally, gone are the days of tedious battling bosses for scales (somewhat, anyways. )! I'm glad they made this change, even if it's two years late, but hey, better late than never...

They can easily change their tune on that "microtransaction" bit, and they can just as easily overprice it, and I'm betting they probably will, which will cause the game to meet its well-deserved demise. Nobody will want to touch it and it will spell the end of mobile slop and Nintendo going after that mobile slop crowd as they move onto the next eventual lazy, hastily-made and cash-hungry game, a repeating, never-ending cycle. This is why I don't consider mobile "games" to be actual video games.

Lol, I feel so vindicated that this game is meeting its demise. It killed New Horizons, and this definitely feels like revenge on behalf of NH players. That being said, no matter what they price it at, this game is gonna lose even its most loyal "players" and it will languish and die off completely because people will not be willing to pay whatever they price this garbage heap at.

Definitely disappointed with the unlocks for the Callie & Marie Amiibo.

I mean... Really? Hero gear that should have been the reward for completing After Alterna instead of that tacky headband that would have been better as a pricey Salmon Run reward?

Why could they nave not done something like the idol outfits instead? Are they allergic to giving the Squid Sisters Amiibos better outfits?

Both Amiibos for Callie and Marie are NEVER getting used and are going STRAIGHT onto a shelf in my bookcase.

...Ok? Whatever, these Fests just get worse and worse, especially with 85% of the Big Man fandom being "stans" and toxic mantoddlers in the Splatoon community. And this is why I strongly denounce Big Meme and his stans. This game would have been absolute perfection if he weren't an idol and more of an in-game throw-away mascot and stuck to the "two-idol" formula of the first two games. But no, they just had to desperately and aggressively shoehorn Big Meme in and turn the Fests into pure dogwater concentrate.

@Kyloctopus They're literally scraping the bottom of the barrel for these laughably awful themes for the Fests in this game, not to mention they decided to create a third idol in Big Man instead of making him a simple, easily-ignored in-game digital whatever mascot.

No. none of them can. The only way to bring Zelda back to its earlier roots pre-BOTW is to kick Aonuma the hack off the team and relegate him to making shovelware-tier games. That would be such a fitting disciplinary correction to bring the Zelda series back to greatness, nothing can replace it.

@StarryCiel I can't seem to dig up anything on Nintendo using Tracer AI, so I remain a tad skeptical. But if true, Nintendo needs to ditch them and offer an apology and such to the fans.

That being said, everyone should be shaming and criticizing Tracer AI and bombard them with complaints about how shoddy and sloppy they are and not let up with it, ever.

Pokemon on Switch? A "success"?

In what universe was it a "success"? What are they on over there at GF/TPCi to think that mindset? It was rightfully mocked and ridiculed as an abject failure.

You'd have to be next-level delusional to think it wasn't an abject, laughable failure. It's time to lay down the hammer of the law and disband GF/TCPi and scatter them to the winds and give Pokemon to Monolith Soft.

LCD101 is a cool person and it's wild that he's still on Sploon1 of all things, it's been just over a month and he's still going strong in the game! I've even communicated with him back-and-forth in absolute astonishment, haha.

If this ends up killing off all the, shall we say, divisive posts plaguing Twitter from ever showing up in Splatoon 3 and such, then I welcome it. There's a time and a place for those sorts of things, and a game about funni, colorful cephalopods is not one of those places.

Anyone gullible or foolish enough to even think Nintendo legitimately sent those DMCAs out and not some abusive fraudsters abusing DMCAs like a madman that should rightfully be hauled off to prison and there being more evidence of such VS one literal who dude that's just salty and got spooked and such really needs a reality check.

Maybe instead of focusing on garbage like this, maybe focus on actually improving the games and making them better.

That or give Nintendo a reason to shred up whatever contract binds Pokemon to 3 different entities and give Pokemon to Monolith Soft instead so that stellar quality can finally be brought to the Pokemon game series.

I'm thinking Splatfests are beyond salvaging and dead at this point, considering that the laughably nonexistent matchmaking is, too, beyond salvaging.

Even in the art concept book for Splatoon 3 had two idols, that being Shiver and Frye, and from what I'd seen of screenshots of it online... How did they fumble it this badly? Good grief, go back to two idols, Splat-devs, for heaven's sakes-

Unlike that horrifically broken and awful event they call "Splatfests" in Splatoon 3. The only way anyone ever wins those is by NOT playing those events because they keep shooting themselves in the foot by having the WORST themes imaginable here in North America. It's almost like they're lazy and panic at the last second by picking a last-second panic-theme here in North America and announce it as the official theme. We should be holding them to a higher standard by sending a message that they need to back to TWO idols-

And I continue to be proven right more and more in my rightful judgment that three-themed Fests remain on an awful downward death spiral until the death of this game and the inevitable 4th Splatoon game. To the lowest pits of the underworld these Fests, they're a pathetic, unfunny joke.

Turns out there aren't that many three way Splatfest concepts that aren't food. Almost like three way Splatfests were a mistake...

And almost like the devs keep dropping and shooting themselves in the foot...

Seriously, these Fest themes are getting more desperate and way more creatively bankrupt. It's almost like the devs really don't give a hoot about 3 and just shovel out garbage for us NA folks and everyone's so done with it. It's like they're playing favorites and giving NA the stuff that should be thrown into an incinerator.

Really? Why is TOTK getting all this (in my opinion) undeserved GOTY praise? It made me so bored and mildly perturbed because there's even less to do in it in comparison to BOTW.

Yawn. I stopped giving a hoot about these Fests because they've been such a mess since its official first one. Splatfests were far better when it was just two choices with two idols. Nintendo can capture my interest again when they inevitably bring back the "two choices with two idols" format for whatever the next game ends up being.
