Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Players Report Language-Specific Glitch That Ruins The Final Boss

I'm so glad I've avoided this """HD""" port, seems like some rather awful, rough glitches and softlocks are happening. ^^;

I was never into this game much anyways and quit due to the absolute handholding this game has with constantly plaguing me with that annoying "partner" for Link, as well as finding the art style unappealing and the absolutely awful motion controls. It's been a hard pass for me so far, especially if reports like this are showing up where the game is this broken.

@MsJubilee "Don't be smug when you clearly don't know what you're talking about."

Ok, let's take a look at how Aonuma and even the Zelda fans handled it at the time:

•"Producer Eiji Aonuma would later confirm that criticism of Skyward Sword's linear structure and lack of exploration had directly resulted in the development of Breath of the Wild."
•"Skyward Sword had been released the year prior with one of the largest marketing campaigns in Nintendo's history and only sold 3.6 million units worldwide—far less than Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, and also coming up short of The Wind Waker."
•"The game stirred controversy among The Legend of Zelda's audience in the west through its linearity, excessive tutorials, and lack of an overworld. Skyward Sword was a game that didn't cater to any single audience particularly well—veteran gamers in the west or more casual gamers in Japan. Negative feedback for the game would make the development team re-examine the Zelda series' identity once more, as they had done following the release of The Wind Waker."
•"Skyward Sword didn't know who it was designed for, neither capturing the exploratory essence of Zelda nor appealing to Nintendo's casual audience."
•"Following the release of Skyward Sword, series producer Eiji Aonuma learnt that players weren't happy with the linear, restrictive nature of the game."

...Huh, look at that. And that's just from the "Development of The Legend of Zelda Series" page on Zelda Wiki.

I like to do this sort of research stuff for intrigued, yet fun, interest if it interests me or such once in a while.

Ffft, why is this game being given a second chance? It doesn't even look like real "HD" to me. More like they didn't even give it the time of day and just extremely barely barebones "upscaled" and nothing else added. Also, the game was a big flop compared to the game that came out in 2017 and is a major step back (3.67 mil sales globally (352k in just Japan and 2.03m for NA)).

But hey, what do I know? I'm just spitballin' here and the fact you folks consider it trolling is kind of blind assumption, and we all know assuming things is a rather bad idea. Just sayin'.
