Bad take. Can't advance without iterating on previous ideas. And the whole idea of a remote play tablet isn't a new concept nor one that's unique to Nintendo.

Yeah, the graphics remind me a lot of Banner Saga. I really enjoyed Banner Saga so I'll keep an eye on this one. I need a break from tactical rpgs though. Last year, we had a lot.

Remember when early access games were cheaper than their full release? This has strong pay to beta test vibes.

@Stocksy If he was worried about losing his livelihood, he shouldn't have broken the rules. If he doesn't like the rules of his job, then he needs to find a new one (preferably before breaking the rules of his current job)

@Sonicka Sonic 2 is Sonic 1 with a spin dash, different levels, and an optional side character. Sonic 2 was able to release one year after Sonic 1 for a reason.

A great way to halt enjoyment is to get bogged down with explanations for things. The movie was great as is. It's not a documentary.

@Jcdbengals Yeah, we are swimming in quality rpgs right now. I just recently finished tactics ogre, still have live a live in my wishlist. I guess now I should decide if I want to play live a live first or octopath traveler 2. I really enjoyed the first one, so I'll probably just jump right into the second.

I contributed. Best Sonic game in generations. I hope they build on this and the next one is of an even higher quality. Also, bring back the Chao.

@Doomcrow Yes, online is just friends only. The same way all NSO games work. It'll still be split screen while playing online with your friends.

Had no idea Ash's VA was female. But I only watched the 1st season or 2. I was more into the Digimon and Monster rancher animes.

Switch is great. Steam deck is great. I love my hybrid consoles.

Buying this day one even though it'll be another few months before I get to it. Playing through Sparks of Hope now. Gotta support my SRPGs since it is my favorite genre. Between Tactics Ogre and Triangle Strategy, and Shadowrun and Mario and Rabbids, this has been a great year for me.

@tourjeff Ark isn't a one and done game. It doesn't matter when it releases, it will continue to sell if the game is good. You can literally sink 1000s of hours into it and people will keep buying it as it has a pretty large community, but even playing with just a small group of friends on a private server is a lot of fun. In case it wasn't obvious, I'm very fond of Ark. I only play on Xbox currently with a small group of friends / family. But even more of my friends / family would be willing to play on Switch if the game is actually playable this time around. I don't play on official servers because we don't have time for that constant grind. Instead we play on a private server with toned down settings such that we can reasonably play once a month or so and not worry about everything being destroyed or starved to death.

@dew12333 @somnambulance Even if it was profit, the game was excellent and would've only made that much because people were willing to pay for it because it was a quality product. It deserves every penny it earned.

Games like Bravely Default are just too simple for me. I loved games like it when I was younger. Played through breath of fire and final fantasy many times. However, now, I'm more interested in games that provide more mental stimulation. Octopath Traveler was much better in that regard (and also the story was way better as well even considering the awful secret ending)

Haven't bought a 3d sonic game since generations, let's see if this one will break the trend.

I've already got dozens of Rpgs in my backlog. Why they doing this to me? Will I ever finish XBC 2?

I gave up waiting for Nintendo and fighting scalpers with the limited supplies they put out. I ordered the brawler 64 controller from kickstarter. It should be arriving around February

Hopefully, this game not only runs significantly better, but also supports cross play on Nitrado's servers.

Nintendo's loss. No way am I paying for an expansion pack if I don't have the n64 controller to play the games with. They need a better system to get a controller. One like what Steam has for the deck. Don't stop taking orders. Just ship it to the next customer when it's ready.

@khululy Agreed, I enjoy playing DKC more than Super Mario World. For me that also holds true for DKC Returns / Tropical Freeze vs New Super Mario Bros. The 3d Mario platformers though are at the top of their genre.

If I could get an n64 controller, I'd probably splurge on the expansion pak. No way I'm playing with a pro controller.

@NickDaddyCool a family plan for 8 costs $80. The mk8 DLC by itself costs $25. So 8 people can pay $25 * 8 (which is $200) or $80 and also get access to other DLC plus the n64 games. It's not a bad deal if you group up with others. But yeah, individually, you'd really need to want those n64 games.

I'm still working through Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Small chance I'll be finished before XC3 launches, but Live A Live takes precedence for me anyway. Love those HD 2D rpgs.

I had a Switch pro controller that drifted. It was about 3 years after purchase and I'm mostly gentle with my controllers. (I do play smash on occasion though). Nintendo had the nerve to charge me $40 to repair it (with a 90 day warranty). Been using third party controllers ever since.

I bought the Stanley parable. I didn't know what to expect going into it from all the vague reviews that were singing its praises. I just wasn't really feeling it. And the "new content" was a pretty bad time waster. The original content was okay but the new content kind of soured my taste of the game.

If my backlog wasn't so strong, I'd definitely bite on Actraiser and Legend of Mana. As is, I still want to start and finish Arceus and finish Xenoblade Chronicles 2 before adding more games to my endless backlog. At this point, it's better for me to have a never ending wishlist than a never ending backlog. Just finished Triangle Strategy, which was an incredible game. You know a game is good when you're sad that it's over.

Removing the word: "like" completely changes the meaning of the sentence. This is not valley speak.
