Re: Video: This Personal Video Game Collection Is The Greatest Of All-Time

Nintendofan83

I've been watching Joel for a few years and its astounding how big his collection is. One of his shelves have as many games as I have haha. He's a really laid back guy and you can tell he does it because he loves it.

I don't know what he does professionally but obviously he is quite wealthy in order to do that. I love his video on all the pinball machines he has. Some bring back some cool memories.

Re: Sales Of Hyrule Warriors On Switch Exceeded Koei Tecmo's Expectations

I'm not surprised these games are doing well. First of all, they are quality titles and worth playing. Secondly, lots of people didn't have a Wii U and they are new to them. The only gripe I have is they are full price games. It would have been nice if they were $49.99 so they get a bit of a discount for being the port version, but still a near full retail price. I have double dipped on all of them except Captain Toad. I didn't like the control set up for that.

Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Switch Hardware Bundle Deals

Nintendofan83

@TheGhostWhoWalks Can't really blame Nintendolife, though. They need to make revenue so they can pay staff and continue writing the content I come to read weekly. It is what it is.

I'm really happy to see Nintendo actively bundling their product and getting more SKUs onto shelves. You never know what box may appeal to someone. I'm upgrading my current Switch to the Smash Bros one. I really like that dock and I generally prefer limited edition consoles over the regular ones. I'll just sell my current Switch for $200 and mitigate the costs that way. The Joycons are disappointing, though. The Pokemon ones are much better!

@JaxonH The Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle will have English? Does that mean English menus to get the game organized and set up? I'm guessing it doesn't mean in game English lol. I haven't bought the Beat Em Up bundle yet so perhaps I'll wait and get a physical copy. I'm thinking about getting the physical release of Mega Man X collection 2 on physical from Japan. That has menus in English.

Re: Luigi's Mansion 3 Will Be Haunting The Switch Next Year

Nintendofan83

This excited me the most! At first I thought it was the 3DS title but I quickly realized the game play looked too good! I'm guessing this will be October 2019 and you'll see a full trailer for it at E3 2019.

There are so many great games for 2019. It's like Nintendo needs a down year then a big year. 2017 was a monster year, 2018 was smaller, and now 2019 is gonna be huge!

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Races To Third Place In Individual UK Charts But Can't Stop Spider-Man

Nintendofan83

Seeing charts like this is why Mario Kart 9 is a few years away. There is no rush for Nintendo to put out another game and I'm sorry to say, no need for more DLC. Save it all for a new entry. That game is nearly a year and a half old on Switch (like 4+ years old overall) and it's at almost at 9 million Switch copies sold. It finished 3rd in a week where huge games like Spiderman and Dragon Quest XI were released.

Re: Talking Point: It's September And We Still Don't Know Enough About Nintendo Online

Nintendofan83

Nintendo has never been a company that communicates well. Overall, Japanese businesses aren't strong communicators. I'm not sure why people are up in arms about it. It's a good article and I agree with what was written but I'm not surprised we still don't know what's going on. The truth is, the price is so low the majority of people will buy it sight unseen so they can play Splatoon, Smash, Mario Kart etc. It's low enough that we don't care. We already know most of what we need to know like A) their infrastructure isn't very good B) their voice chat is terrible and C) you get a bunch of retro NES games with online capability. For $25, we've just accepted it. All I hope is that the lack of information means a September Direct where they talk about Online but also talk about first party Nintendo titles. I believe Mario Tennis Aces is the only new first party Nintendo title to launch since March (5 + months ago). Getting some Wii U vibes.
