@CRB1984 I attended Nintendo Live in Seattle and it seemed more like it was to showcase games already released and announced games releasing very soon. I think they even did a Nintendo Direct the week after Nintendo Live.

Nothing new was announced, but it was still a cool thing to attend, other than the ridiculous line to get in 🙃.

My take on the price increase is that the way Nintendo sees it, people will pay the price regardless. If you want a cheaper price at launch you'll have to subscribe to NSO and then pay $100 for two games. They just sold you on a second game you might now have bough otherwise. I'm sure some people might use the pass for the second game to pay for a $40 or less game or forget to use it at all which doesn't save them much money in the end. Regardless, Nintendo will get to skip the middle man retailers and save on not creating a physical game. Either way I'm sure they will both be pretty profitable for Nintendo.

@EarthboundBenjy Probably because they still want people to go play the online version. I think if they offered the exact same game but offline then people wouldn't bother playing the online version of the game. They make more money if they can convert offline players to online.

I picked up and played the offline game and it seems like a lite version of the online game. It's completely playable, but it's easy to tell that the online version is the better version.

@CodyMKW That should be the case in theory as Game Trials are basically the full game

What a shame, I feel like the series is a good fit for Switch. The older games should have no trouble running on the switch at all.

@Captain_Toad I watched the Japanese Direct and it was on there. Not sure why they didn't include it for the global directs.

@rjejr The Wii U Gamecube adapter works with Switch. I use it all the time when I need extra controllers for Mario Kart.

@MasterWario no pokemon, but there is digimon. I'd also recommend to you RurounI Kenshin as it's on Crunchyroll and also in english. But if you're looking for a show similar to pokemon I'd recommend The Slayers, the only difference is that they have magic instead of pokemon. It also has most of the English voice cast as well.

I don't see why it's so hard to localize games nowadays... They could just translate it to English, leave the Japanese voices, and make it only digital if they are worried about money.

Is it just me, or is Tvii super slow...? I thought it was our internet connection at first, but now that we have a better connection Tvii still doesn't load properly...

@KodyDawg actually they were up this evening... I know for a fact they weren't up on Monday. I was checking all day Sunday when it was SUPPOSED to be up! Not surprising since they are always late posting the new games..

@Anguspuss spirit camera is also a good game, however I also think the 3ds camera is horrible and is unnecessary
